Pros: A beautiful old hotel close to all the main attractions of Florence. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were really comfortable. There is a gorgeous rooftop area and pool which houses a bar and live music over summer but understandably this was closed over winter - I would love to come back over warmer months to check this out! The breakfast was particularly good too.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location , cleanliness, staff!
Cons: Room was very small , bed very hard, I was told this was smaller room for our room type sorry. I truly believe that they do not give priority to guests for rooms of you do not book directly on their website. The location is Great!!!!!
7,7 Good
Pros: Our room faced the river m, such a beautiful view. The room was nice & very clean. The concierge recommended some excellent restaurants.
Cons: The street noise is loud at night, so either ask for a quiet room some where or bring ear plugs. The staff working the breakfast each morning could be a lot more friendly.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Second time staying in this hotel and it was decent. Cleaning service was quite poor this time- during our 5 day stay. our shampoos / soaps/ cotton buds were never refilled.. also staffs seemed a bit indifferent with helping you (we carried all our 4 luggage ourselves when we arrived at the hotel cause no one was there to help)

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had booked in for one night for our honeymoon and from arrival, everything about this hotel was amazing. The valet car parking saved us having to negotiate the streets of Florence to find a car park. The greeting from the manager and his colleagues was so welcoming and we felt very comfortable immediately. Check in was seamless and everything was explained to us in detail. The location for exploring the city was outstanding, with a few attractions only minutes walk away. We had opted for a junior suite that came with its own mobile smart phone for use out and about to save our data. Also included was a shuttle service to the nearby pools up in the hillside- only 15 minutes away, we can highly recommend booking a time slot and taking a few hours out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Flip flops and towels included! We didnt get a chance to use the onsite spa facilities, but they looked very good and the treatments at a reasonable price. The room itself was spectacular- clean, cool and very luxurious with one of the most comfortable beds ever. It was quiet and felt a world away from the busy streets. We decided to take breakfast in our room the next morning to make the most of it! We had cocktails in the bar in the evening that were very well made and delicious- the lovely bar tender, Don, was very friendly and chatty, despite my Italian not being great! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning soon, as one night was not enough!
9,6 Excellent

Pros: This is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Florence. It is steps away from the Duomo, but tucked away so that it is quiet and seems to be off the beaten path...perfect location! The hotel is beautiful and the staff is attentive. The lobby is very comfortable, lots of attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast is lovely, with many options.....something for everyone. This is our second stay at this hotel and we will return. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was very comfortable. Good breakfast. Location was also good. within walking distance of most attractions
Cons: No direct elevator to the floor that we stayed on. So, it was down & up stairs to get to our room.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located in the center of the city. Hotel staff has been very kind and polite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room, excellent food with many choices served buffet style. Plenty of staff to answer your slightest need - even to retrieving the linen napkin that had unknowingly slipped off your lap onto the floor!
Cons: I really can't think of a thing. It is a beautiful hotel, with an elegant old world atmosphere located right off the Piazza della Signoria, steps from the Uffizzi Gallery with many small excellent restaurants near by. The entire staff of the hotel were pleasant, courteous and extremely helpful. What could possibly be better? I was there in early January - the weather and the quality of the light were magical.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, lovely room, attentive and helpful staff, good breakfast, we loved it.
9,2 Excellent
Cons: With the hotel’s great location comes street noise until late into the night and early morning hours, 2 am

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel, one of the best we have stayed in. Attentive and friendly staff, gorgeous rooms, fabulous location, nice breakfast, a lovely experience.
Cons: We would ask for an inside room next time, as the street noise kept us up, but only because we wanted the window open. We loved this hotel!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Friendly staff
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Breakfast buffet and some rooms noisy
7,1 Good
Pros: Staff good
Cons: Dark depressing room no 275 . Inadequate tables and chairs in dining room, felt as if eating on knees very uncomfortable, had difficulty standing up. Thought could have got better value for money elsewhere
9,7 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Helvetia Bristol could not have been warmer and more accommodating during my four night stay. Their warm welcomes and spot-on suggestions were greatly appreciated. I love this hotel and will definitely return. It is a historic boutique hotel (don't expect large rooms). The location cannot be beat in central Florence.
Cons: The rooms are small and in need of a little love (new carpet).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect !!!
5,1 Okay
Pros: Cappuccino. Staff was understanding.
Cons: The rooms next to the street are noisy because of the late night bars and at this time of year you can't have AC in the rooms because one system works the entire building. If you are hot or uncomfortable you have to open a window which just lets the noise in. Street cleaners, and trash service comes by at 5am which is nuts! Breakfast was blah...Single room was a closet and horrible shower. Im in shape and didn't fit in the shower.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was an exceptional stay, the hotel is located very close to the historical center, but also to the elegant showcases of the biggest fashion brands. Excellent location with very friendly staff, quite varied breakfast for all tastes, the reception of the hotel was in the spirit of Christmas with an amazing fireplace, absolutely fabulous. I spent New Year's Eve at the hotel restaurant and the dinner was absolutely delicious. Thank you very much to the entire staff of the hotel for the wonderful feeling we had throughout our stay there.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location / design of hotel room
Cons: Chocolatés left in room after turn down were off; heated towel rail didn’t work and was coming off the wall; hôtel coffee a rip-off price...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful, classic hotel, sumptuously appointed, but not over the top. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is wonderful. The breakfasts are elegant. (Best croissants of our trip!) The location is perfect, close to everything. Wonderful in almost all respects, BUT . . .
Cons: The hotel has a problem with noise, especially on the Via del Pescioni side. We were on the second floor, and disturbed during the night by revelers in the street, but especially by the very loud noises of service vehicles starting about 6 am. The hotel must be aware of this, because they provided ear plugs (!) by the bedside. (We should have had the wits to read this ominous sign.) They moved us to a room on the other side for our second night. Avoid rooms overlooking the street! Also, there is no coffee machine in the rooms.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, beautiful rooms. Very capable staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. 10-15 minute walk to everything, but quiet location. Service like one does not find anymore. Worth the money.

Pros: The hotel is beautiful. Great location. Cosy. It reflects Florence at its best. The staff was great, friendly, helpful, knowledgable about the area, restaurants, shows. We had a great time.
Cons: Our only complaint is Florence is a noisy city at night and that requieres windows that are soundproof. If they change this, its a 5 star for us.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location was good although we were struggling to arrive to the hotel by the car because of the closing roads at that time.
Cons: The behaviour of the receptionist when we arrive. No flexibilty in changing the check out date. The type of rooms and the colors along with the way of the furniture organized are very depressing.

5,4 Okay
Pros: The breakfast is excellent, with a very large dining area and lots of selections. The location is also very good, with easy access to the Duomo.
Cons: The rooms are tiny by any standard, with so little room between the beds and the walls that you can barely walk beside them. There is no room for a bidet in the minuscule bathroom, and the shower is so small that I had to open the door to be able to wash myself (and I'm not a large person). Rather than being an elegant hotel, it is a strange mix of some contemporary elements atop an old hotel that is in disrepair. The service is also rude and unhelpful. I couldn't wait to leave and will never stay there again.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Service quality in general, front office particularly helpful and professional. Breakfast buffet had great variety and high quality. Juice bar unique! Suitable for alternative diets Room service very thorough.
Cons: Could be more attentive to sustainability aspects, such as easier to turn down temperature, not replacing towels and soaps every day.

The breakfast buffet has everything imaginable, it’s super modern and clean . Highly recommend !

Pros: 1. Walking distance from the main train station and major sites, yet much quieter location than near Duomo. Had no problems with noise at all. 2. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The same goes for all other staff members we interacted with. 3. Room size was fine and tue bed/mattress was perfect for us ( it's on the firmer side). 4. Plumbing was fine with shower pressure strong and stable. 5. A number of busses stop right in front of the hotel and can take you anyway in the city, including the train station, if you don't feel like walking. It's literary 1-2 stops.
Cons: Well, there is not really anything we did not like.
9,4 Excellent

8,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location. The hotel is beautiful and the people who work there are friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and had all I needed for the night I stayed there. The taxi for the airport was there in 3 minutes. Probably my review should say excellent rather than good.
Cons: The drain in the shower was slow. I forgot to mention that to the front desk employees. I'm sure they would have fixed that if I had let them know.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Bathroom was good and clean.
Cons: Could have a little more vegetable or greens at the breakfast buffet. Too many carbs and protein.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location, location, location. And breakfast was very good. Room was spacious.
Cons: The reception was not very friendly. The bathroom was tiny with no space to put our toiletries. We had to ask for a Kleenex box as none was offered in the room except for little tiny tissue boxes. There was also no lotion offered. For a 4-star hotel the amenities were quite poor.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location could not be better and the view from the room was gorgeous.

Cons: BUGS IN MY ROOM!!! I was in you hotel multiple times but I am very disapointed for the last stay!!I am so disapointed in the cleaness of the room, we legit had bugs in our room. We noticed them in the morning because we came late and we went directly to sleep!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place, garden, rooms, breakfast, atmosphere. Very close to brilliant Asmana SPA.
Cons: Need more hangers in the bathroom
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful hotel - the attention to detail is astounding. One surprise were the several living room settings adjacent to the lobby. One of them was full of high-end books (the kind costing $--+), like you wandered into a billionaire's home.
Cons: Service at the restaurant was a little different, all extremely nice and accommodating, but perhaps the place just needed to be busier. The premises themselves were 5-star though.

2,5 Mediocre
Cons: The location was not in a good area. The staff does not tell you that the pool listed as available as part of the hotel is not and that it is part of a restaurant next door. The staff was very rude to me and essentially told me that it's not their problem and go talk to the restaurant next door about it. You are not allowed to use the pool most nights as it is rented out for whole days and there's nothing the hotel will do for you. You are promised a voucher for a happy hour special that you never get and if you try to cancel the reservation as you recieved misinformation about the hotel and would like to go elsewhere they tell you no and to just deal with it. A great bait and switch hotel that booking.com does nothing to help with and you end up leaving feeling cheated and lied to. Do not go to this place there are much better options for the same price actually in Florence where people are actually trying to go to.
7,5 Good
Pros: Food and coffee was alright
Cons: I didn't like the shower , i think they have some problems at the boiler cause was like hot water cold water , no pressure or too much pressure
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was awesome. They told us about a restaurant and it was terrific. And they spoke English.

Cons: Slightly dated and no parking

Pros: Good parking in front of hotel , location is good for busines trip close to industrial zone. Rooms is comfortable and clean , for 1 night exelent.
Cons: Nothing
4,6 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: There must have been a leaking at some point from the shower or worse(the toilet) so the carpets are stained and the smell is horrible. Smells like bad toilet in the room. We slept with the window open and spread some perfume in the room. We were offered another room that was similar. Not a place to stay the night.
6,7 Good
Pros: The staff at front desk were very pleasant and ready to help. Breakfast was ok, but could have been better with more dishes.
Cons: It's not that i didn't like, but the facilities can be improved a notch higher. The Ibis property i stayed in Kochi, had a brighter and nice looking corridor. But this property has a dull and old looking one. Painting overdue.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location was far from the center but it was great to have a mall so close
