Pickup was a pain, got a vehicle with 7% charge and then when I went back inside to exchange there was a long line of people that I had to wait behind to exchange my vehicle. The woman also initially tried to charge me the wrong price that was much more than what I booked it for. Drop off was a breeze though and I really liked the ease of just parking and walking onto the airport shuttle.Reviewed Oct 17 2025

We picked up the vehicle in North Carolina it was snowing and sloppy there was no window washer fluid in the vehicle. Had to stop and throw snow on the windshield,. We bought some put it in only to find out the sprayer did not work. We called budget talked to someone they had us call a different number was suppose to be a local number but we got put on another waiting list never talked to anyone. Thank goodness the the weather changed and we did not need the wipers anymore the rest of the time spent there.Reviewed Feb 24 2025

The first car that we were directed to, smelled so strongly of cigarettes I had to ask for another car. It was particularly annoying since I had my 3 and 5 year old grandsons and had to have the car seats switched to another car. The second car was ok but not nearly as nice as I have had in the past. The return was good but I probably will look for another rental company.Reviewed Jan 7 2024

We arrived at this Budget location to find a massive line, snaking through the building, out the door, and well into the parking lot. I waited for about 45 minutes before I even got to the door of the building, and there was easily another 45 minutes to go. In the meantime my husband booked another car at the Alamo across the street and was able to pick it up before I was even halfway through the Budget line. Needless to say we ditched our Budget reservation entirely. I feel for the staff of this location - the folks we encountered were as patient as they could be under the circumstances. But something went seriously wrong here. I’d like to say I’d give them another chance, but when all you need from a long travel day is for things to go smoothly…another chance is just not worth it. I cannot begin to explain what a nightmare it was. We were shuttled to the car lot. Line was literally around the building. We waited in that line for 2:30 minutes. Then the completely unprofessional and uncaring staff came out to tell the 50ppl left in there that there were NO MORE CARS LEFT!!!! That we had to return to the terminal to get an Uber or Taxi??!! I will be contacting budget corporate. It was 2AM when we took a shuttle back to the airport. Then had to pay $150 for an Uber to our hotel. We didn’t get to the hotel until 3AM. I don’t know how Budget can operate as a legitimate business at this airport!! What a Joke!! I will be leaving as many negative reviews as I can. I will warn any family, friend, or stranger to never use Kayak or Budget again. I was told I could get my $150 dollars reimbursed but I have no faith in this “company” I was blown away that this is an actual operating company in the United States. 2+hours waiting to pick up the car (90 minutes in line, 20 minutes to get the car, plus the expected travel time to get to the counter and check out/exit from the parking lot). Mass confusion at the rental counters. Lack of clarity as to what car I was supposed to get (waited on the curb for 20 minutes and finally asked a team member walking by to help me find it- even he had trouble). Did not get the car or car class requested (reserved a Camry type car and got a mini van). Got charged for gas even though I told them I would fill it up and it was returned full/topped off.Reviewed Oct 28 2022
