With the gas shortage it was a little scary leaving on a four hour trip with a little more than 1/2 a tank of gas. Not the fault of Alamo, it was just the reality for me and Alamo. John was very accommodating and the airport was easy to move around. He even went out and got the car for us as my husband is handicapped and we were his last customer.Cons:
The wait time at the airport desk to get the car that was already reserved. John needed help that day! He was very nice, but out-manned with the requests for cars at the time. I got to Jacksonville,NC airport late, around 11pm on the 30th of July. There was a Hertz employee; African american female w/ glasses. She was the most pleasant, most helpful and understanding young lady I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. She stayed and waited for my delayed flight to arrive even though she had to be back to work on the 31st at 7am. She took the time to answer all my questions and even though she was tired she was extremely pleasant and helpful. I must admit it is because of this wonderful young lady when i will most certainly use HERTZ again.Cons:

I called to extend my contract for a day and was quoted (automated) 100 dollars extra, then transferred to an agent. The agent was abrupt and offered no help even though I had a quote on my contract of 34 dollars, as well as Kayak.com to rerent. I actually had to drive to the airport to rerent.Avis
