Great location... it’s where I chose to propose!
No on site bar
Fantastic. Good breakfast. Clean large rooms. Great location.
The sunrise, the fruit cups, the coffee, the decor. Very pretty place!
The spot was beautiful! The views spectacular! I absolutely loved the location, and the amenities. The common room was equipped with a pool table and large screen television which we used. They offered board games, which we used, and every afternoon they had cookies and hot cocoa in the common room which my son took advantage of regularly. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and clean, offering a keurig, a microwave and a mini fridge. Breakfast was included as a buffet that you can bring back to your room. It was first come first serve, but 2 members of my family are celiac, so some choices were limited depending upon what type of breakfast foods were served. The mini fridge came in handy because we were able to buy some breakfast staples from a local market and eat them in the room at the small dining table. After exploring the surrounding areas, we all agreed that we chose the best spot for lots to do and see. The hotel is the perfect location for walking to all sorts of attractions, and restaurants. If we return to Boston we would likely stay at the Boston Yacht Haven again.
Upon our arrival the first night after a long ride into the city, we were all exhausted, we were told by the check in that we could not keep our large pick up truck on site. There is a ton of parking on the wharf and we were surprised by this because the hotel was only half booked. There were 4 cars in the lot, and when I booked the reservation it stated clearly that they offered on site parking. She told us that we would have 30 minutes to unload and then she could direct us to the nearest parking garage, where they were certainly going to charge us an exorbitant fee for such a large vehicle. Apparently the hotel only has 5 allotted spots and you need to reserve them in advance. With 10 rooms on the property, 5 people are likely going to be without parking, and no where on their website does it mention this. Because it was off season, we were told we could park the next night on the property and reserve that spot for the remainder of the trip. At this time I was also told that they charge 45$ a night for parking, which also came as a surprise, however since the garages on the north end would likely charge us 60$ and up a night, I would rather pay the hotel. I was really annoyed because had I been told this back when I booked the room a month in advance I certainly would have reserved a spot. Since we were given only 30 minutes to unload, we needed to move quickly. Once we were done I came down to the front desk to get info as to where we needed to park and I was met by another gentleman who said he managed the grounds. He apologized and told us that they would make an exception for the night and they promptly charged my card for the parking. We were relived, but it was all very unprofessional.
Amazing place, breakfast superb, served right outside our room, bed super comfortable, really enjoyed ourselves, if we are every back in Boston we will be booking again.
Location was fabulous
