The restaurant staff was nothing but helpful and very kind, considering we were sick so they helped us get the meal we needed. We needed different cables to connect the computer to the TV, the hotel supplied them really easily, which was good and useful.
The attention at the reception, the check-in. I asked for an early check in with a large bed, they gave us a twin room at 11am, so we had to wait until 3pm to get a room with a large bed. The receptionist didn't even apologize for the mistake, was kinda rude. The design of the deluxe room is very uncomfortable. The shower spills water everywhere and there are no electric plugs on the right side of the bed or near the TV (just one for the TV).
Perfect location, beautiful building, clean bright rooms, very friendly staff
The staff is brilliant.
brilliant. Location in amazing restaurant, in the center of everything. Best value for your money.
Nothing bad about this place
Really appreciated an early check-in after travelling all night from Canada. The staff were all friendly and very helpful for any questions that I had about tourist sites, subway, bus routes etc. I was given a free upgrade to a larger room because of my extended stay. Very reasonable hotel rates. Great buffet breakfast very good.
I love the style of this hotel, its really modern and clean. The location is excellent, on a quiet street off a main street. The bar serves excellent cocktails.
I had stayed here before with work and was returning for a pleasure trip. I booked a superior room and was quite disappointed as it didn't seem "superior" to me and was exactly the same as the standard rooms on their website so I don't know what I paid the premium for? Also the toilietries are more like what you would find in a budget 3 star than what you would expect from this class of hotel. The restaurant is quite expensive for Berlin and does not cater for vegetarians.
Elegant, clean rooms.
I called ahead about a special request, then wrote it also on my reservation, but it was not prepared, and i had to wait when i arrived. Also, a plug by the desk would be nice.
The staff was very Open and friendly
I like the resturant and the atmosohire of the cafe lounge very much in both day and evening time. the quality of the breakfast room is excellant and the service is very good.
Yes, the sepration of WC from the shower and having the hand basin in the room is not nice.
excelent location, modern equipment, very good breakfest
Funkyness, location, brand new
Rooms very small, no radio facility in room- got bored with watching mtv
location and design
eventhough the sign of 'do not disturb ' on teh door ,they call me to ask about the when i waant my room to be cleaned.
The architecture ,bar , dining , room
Reception and bar staff need to have better customer training !
Quality and comfort
I did not expect to pay for the internet connection. In Spain they don't bill for this.
Great location. Close to KuDamm, UBahn, and main shops. Unusual 1920's art-deco style. Very stylish bedrooms. Quiet, no street noise. All staff very helpful and courteous. Staff uniform 1920's. Good air-con, which is unusual in Europe. Comfy bed.
Although very stylish, bedroom a bit strange. Toilet separate from bathroom, and bathroom almost part of bedroom, just a dividing wall. Not good if you don't know your room partner extremely well, but I did ! The art-deco look was overdone, much of the hotel including reception, bar etc was very stark, lots of plain white walls. No tea/coffee in room. The hotel only opened 7 days before my visit so things may change. I would stay again.
The central location of the ELLINGTON HOTEL BERLIN means that it is the ideal choice for visitors wanting to explore the city and enjoy the urban life of Berlin. The 285 rooms of the design-hotel offer a variety of accommodation, from modern single and double rooms to executive suites and the tower suites with their spectacular views over the roofs of Berlin. Other highlights include the restaurant Duke and the interior courtyard. A final attraction is the entertainment suite, with capacity for up to 800 people, including eight different rooms, providing the perfect setting for all events, including conferences, meetings, galas and family celebrations.
