The hotel was lovely and historic, right in the middle of the small town of Berrea, amidst many arts and crafts shops. The restaurant food was good, but the waitress rushed us. We didn't know that the dining room closed to reservations at 8 pm and we scheduled a 7 pm dinner. Pros (+) The place is beautiful and clean. Staff was fantastic! I will stay again sometime.

Pros (+) Nice decor in public areas. It's an integral part of Berea college. If the school interests you (it has a fascinating history) you will love your stay. Otherwise it's a pretty good older facility with an above average staff. Two of our party of three thought that the food was excellent. All agreed that the service was above average.
Cons (-) TV aspect ratio has squashed image. Neither the genetic remotes nor the controls on the TV itself can access the menu to fix that. Staff confirmed the problem and offered to give us a different room. We declined since we care little for television. This might be a bigger issue for people who do care.
