AC Hotel by Marriott Badajoz

The room I shared with my partner had a french bed, not a queen bed (as they told me in the reception). In fact, it was the same size of the one of my colleagues who share a two double beds room. So, the stay was not comfortable. I asked to change the room at the reception, but they said that it would cost more. Moreover, all courtesy kit was for one person and not two. Moreover, the hotel tried to take the money from the credit card I did the reservation before the checkout, although I had explained before (two times via message and email) that we needed several invoices and that each one was going to pay by him/herself. Even if this was not clear, I don't find it so proper for a 4-star hotel to take the money from the credit card before the check-out, without even informing the client.

The room is large and has a large balcony (although the view is to inside of the hotel). The WC is also large and very well equipped (although the dark green wall colors are awful). The hotel serves a good international buffer breakfast. There is plenty of free parking space in the streets near the hotel.

The wifi is really bad (very very slow). I don't think the AC in our room was working. The safe is too small (could not fit my 14" laptop). The sound insulation is not great, we could hear the sounds outside the room very loudly. Plus, the room's door was very difficult to close, so we would have to push/pull it really hard, which would make a loud noise; we could hear the same noise from other rooms, so it seems to be a general problem. On a more positive note, we could not hear any sound from the rooms next to (nor above) ours, so that's good. We requested a double bed, but ended up with twin beds. We asked them if it was possible to change that and they said the hotel was full (fair enough), so they made the bed with double bed sheets, which helped a bit.
