The man I was working with was fine, but the lady who was with him seemed high. She was on her phone constantly and another woman walked in and then they started talking about their boss. After a 15 hour flight, i took a taxi to the Avis facility. When I arrived I showed the Avis rep at the counter my reservation (which clearly states that I had a car reserved). The rep told me there were no cars at the locations and because I made the reservation recently the location couldn’t guarantee me a vehicle. I had to change my plans and wait 3 hours for a Greyhound bus to get home after a 15 hour flight. I cant understand how there are no cars available if I have a confirmation that leads me to believe differently. Lastly, I landed at 5pm and the Avis location closed at 6pm. I rushed and caught a taxi which chose me $40 to get to the Avis location I rented from. I called the Avis location 3 times from the Taxi and my calls were not answered. When I arrived at the location at 5:45 (15 minutes before closing) there were 4 employees behind the counter talking and joking. It is obvious they were too engaged in their personal conversation to answer the phone when I called a few minutes earlier. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS SERVICE AND WILL NOT UTILIZE IT IN THE FUTURE.Reviewed Jun 25 2023

Desk assistant loaded the rental with obscure insurance charges - Personal Accident Insurance, Personal Effects Insurance and RSN (which I have never heard of) without asking us whether we wanted it and without telling us that he fad marked them as if we had accepted them. Unfortunately we were so jet lagged and my wife (who signed) was suffering extreme pain due to Lymphoedema did not realise. The desk assistant had an impenetrable accent and whispered so we had extreme difficulty understanding him. We only realised that all these extras had been added when we received the bill at the end of the rental which is 50% higher than the amount that we prepaid. My wife is registered Avis Preferred but this was ignored and we were assigned the crappiest vehicle that there ever was which had not been cleaned and the carpet on the drivers side had a hole in it through to the metal. The car had numerous dents and scratches. My recommendation would be to read the reviews for other car rental companies and take your business to a company other than Avis.Reviewed May 8 2023

Avis website allowed us to make a reservation but when we got to the location they said they had no cars available but that’s after they ignored us and others waiting for at least 10 mins. Horrible. We will never use Avis again.Reviewed Apr 24 2023

Since there was 6 of us with suitcases, we rented a Suburban and when we went to pick it up, there was none available. When I gave her my name, she kept looking at the sheet that was in front of her. I asked if there was a problem and she said, yes, we do not have a Suburban available. She excused herself and went to call someone. She came back to let us know that there was a mini van available. So, we had to rent that or would not be able to get to our final destination. We had to put suitcases under our feet and drive like that for a little over 5 hours due to the size difference of the mini van compared to the Suburban. The attendant was very nice and was as helpful as she could be with the lack of inventory. Very disappointed and would not rent from Avis again.Reviewed Apr 10 2023

They did not have the car that we reserved and had to settle for a smaller car. Avis attendant was rude. Took over 30 minutes to get the car. Car was not clean and was not full of gas so we had to stop and fill and then stop a 2nd time. The delay in getting the car made us late. I will never use Avis again!Reviewed Apr 2 2023

My car rental reservation was cancelled the morning of pickup and not a single available car could be found within a 25 mile radius of the Atlanta metro area. What a nightmare! NEVER again!Reviewed Mar 5 2023
