Pros: Breakfast was OK and the location was quite central. The rooms were clean and spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The bed was also comfortable and the service good. It was great having a 'balcony' with view and ability to open the door, albeit only to a 'Juliet' balcony. Arrangements with the Captain Cook hotel across the road were also very good although I did not get time to take advantage of them.

Pros: Breakfast was OK and the location was quite central. The rooms were clean and spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The bed was also comfortable and the service good. Arrangements with the Captain Cook hotel across the road were also very good although I did not get time to take advantage of them.
Cons: There was no effective control over the room temperature (heating) and I was too hot at night and found the air stuffy so I did not sleep well. The only way I could get fresh air into the room was by opening the balcony door which was problematic with noise at night and often rain. It would have been good to have a window for ventilation.

I do recommend staying downtown because there so much more to do and see than staying at an airport hotel. The Captain Cook is downtown and very well located. You do not need a car to get to lots of restaurants, shops and sights, just walk there. Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room was very well equipped and I had a great view from 15 floor. I also could enjoy a tasty and long lasting breakfast in the hotel. Great place to stay. Thank you!

I wrote a letter upon check out, but I also spoke about it to two different staff. I was given no compensation. I asked for the cameras to be checked. When I checked out of the hotel, I left my phone number and my email. No one has contacted me! Horrible service.

Pros: This is a solid little hotel that does the job. For us the location was perfect. Very close to the railway station where you can catch the train to Seward. It’s not a flashy hotel. But it is very comfortable. Plenty of room, comfortable bed, hot water, and within walking distance to downtown. Reception is 24 hours. Excellent value for money, and we would stay here again.

Cons: The hotel does not have AC. Our room backed up to the train depot so with the window open we were hot and awake all night with train horns. I tried to cancel my second night but unfortunately was denied by manager bc I booked a nonrefundable rate.

Cons: Not much. Just one thing to note. This is not a disabled friendly hotel, there are stairs everywhere. We would not have picked this hotel had we had our son who is in a wheelchair, traveling with us.

Cons: We had told the front desk when we’d be arriving, but a small van was sent for 6 people. We were told not to call until we had our luggage, but should have called as soon as we landed. The area was definitely not great, but it made for interesting pictures.

Pros: The room next to us had small children making tons of noise. I explained to the front desk gentleman our situation that we needed sleep. He moved the family without any further questions. All front staff are the best! very nice people. I love this hotel!!! The only suggestion I have is have the pool open for an hour at night for adults only like other clarions. We wanted to use the pool but children where still in there after it closed. I love children, but sometimes romance can be lost... :)

Cons: in room 112 my first room had bad heating system, door handle to get in didn't work right had to have front desk person to help wasn't showed the right way to open so I got the housecleaning lady to show me also real noisy outside of room. They change me to room 115 didn't check that room out until around 8pm and found out tv was busted and they had to put the people out the night before and that's why it was noisy the night before when I was in room 112. I would like to be reinburst for the stay of one night for all the trouble and the parking was terrible. share parking with a restaurant as well.

Cons: Our room had a musty smell, which just made me feel uncomfortable. Huge dumpsters, although concealed are stored inside the property as far as I could tell which also left a bad smell in the hall area. Location was ok, as mentioned above, it wasn't too far from the centre IN A CAR, walking would be a different story. Also located on a very busy road which wasn't great but it was our choice to stay here so not a fault of the property. Other than the smell of the room, the room was clean.

Pros: This was the most worst hotel experience I have ever had the pool and hot tub were disgusting breakfast was supposed to be included and I paid 50$ for it. There were bloody used bandaid in the pool area along with dirt grime and trash. The bathtub didnt even ever fill up with hot water we didnt have a menu in our room for room service. It was all and all the worst hotel experience I ever had i paid 216$ for a one night stay in a filthy hotel with a shitty view I never will be coming back to this hotel!!!

There were bloody used bandaid in the pool area along with dirt grime and trash. The bathtub didnt even ever fill up with hot water we didnt have a menu in our room for room service. It was all and all the worst hotel experience I ever had i paid 216$ for a one night stay in a filthy hotel with a shitty view I never will be coming back to this hotel!!!

Cons: My second room when I returned from a few days at Denali National Park was not quite up to par. But I was tied and didn't notice the problems until I was ready for bed. The next morning, I explained the problems and the front desk offered options to make up for it, but none fit my agenda. She was very apologetic, though, and the room was not horrible. Just a few little things. Don't let that stop you from staying. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Cons: When I arrived at the hotel, the air conditioning was not working in my room at all. Staff did not offer to do anything about it and even rolled their eyes when I complained about it. The elevators were also down a lot of the time over my 2-day stay. When I called to report the elevator, staff simply said "Take the service elevator" which was extremely dirty. It was slow due to staff getting on and off, which I understood. I asked a bell hop where the "washrooms" were and he smirked and asked my if I meant "restroom" and then asked if I was "Canadian or something", which was off-putting (I am not Canadian, but I imagine I would have been even more insulted than I was!) I was overall disappointed with the attitude by the staff in general. They have a sign on the front desk that says "We want to make it right." but they certainly did not live up to that creed. I would not stay here again even the location was great!

Cons: For the price that was paid the hotel fell below the standard I am used to for a less price, had to change room due to giving a different room to booked, arrived to our room after a massive day and the room was forgotton to be cleaned and ho help from reception just a sorry, was not offered any towles etc and had to ask for them, then we went to krder room service 15 min befor the kitchen closed and was told sorry we have already closed the kitchen, breakfast buffet was very minimal with 4 hot dishes but one was empth the entire time, you could get eggs cooked, had a good selection of pasterys and the staff were great. I understand hotels miss the mark every now and then but to miss the mark on several items for the price paid is a bit hard to take.

I As a matter of fact I was very disappointed and I told the front desk that - also, I asked the front desk if I can get a refund and not stay there at all after the front desk told me that there is no restroom in the room, no breakfast, and you can smell the cigarettes right away right before you enter the front door all the way to the parking lot. Recommend to have a designated smoking area at least 50 feet away from the building. Everyone smokes right outside the front door and in front of the hotel. There wasn't a breakfast. The restroom is shared with everyone - I didn't see it when I booked the reservation. It should be highlighted and noticeable easily that way everyone can see it ASAP before they make their reservation.

Cons: Didn't realize when I booked that each room doesn't have its own restroom, you share restrooms and showers with everyone else on the floor, so I avoided showering during my stay as I didn't have any shower shoes. Also no paper towels in restrooms so you have to bring a wash cloth from your room. No housekeeping. Nothing fancy about the rooms, just a couple dressers, fridge, table, folding chair and a bed with 2 flat pillows. Nothing romantic about the place, so don't expect to impress your significant other here. My fiancé says I'm not allowed to book hotels for us anymore after this. If I'd have known what I was getting into would have spent a bit more for a nicer place.

Cons: The hotel is old and should be updated. The air conditioner was noisy (visited during summer heatwave). The bathtub (non-jacuzzi) is higher than most without handrails. It was hard to get into shower and slippery -- it's an accident waiting to happen.

Pros: The location was good and the staff were pleasant.
Cons: The condition of the hotel was poor and seemed not very clean, though this was probably due to the condition rather than the cleaning staff. Fortunately we were there only one night.

Pros: We arrived at 0430 on a red eye and the lovely receptionist moved us from our room and upgraded us to another which was accessible so we could relax there and check in. The location was great as train station and downtown were within a 10 minute walk.

Pros:
Cons: WiFi was not working the entire 5 days I was there. Had to switch rooms because door wouldn’t lock and TV wouldn’t work. Once I switched rooms the bathroom light went out on my second day there. I asked 3 times for someone to fix it to no avail. Had to shower in total darkness the rest of the trip. Breakfast was same everyday and over cooked eggs were not good!

Cons: I initially booked this spot because it had a pool. Upon arrival I learned that it was closed due to the earthquake. I feel like that should be noted on your website! We checked in, went to our room, and only one bed had a blanket. We went out around 5 at which point I asked the front desk to send a blanket up. When I got back at 10pm, still no blanket. Called the front desk, they said it’d be up in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, I call the front desk, they say they’ve been busy and that they are the only person working right now. I’m pretty tired, I have two young children that I’m traveling with, so I ask if there’s anything I can do (meet them at the desk, laundry room, something useful). They say no, it’ll be up in 10. STILL, 10 minutes later nothing, so I go down, they run with me to the laundry room, no clean blankets. Nothing. At this point it’s after 11pm. They say they’ll have to grab one from an empty room. Which they do about 15 minutes later. Blanket procured. But I feel like it was just one of those times where one thing after another kept falling through. The guy offered to give us complimentary breakfast tickets, which was nice, but he never sent them to our room, so I asked the front desk the next morning, and the attendant was very short and rude about the whole thing. It all just seemed really ridiculous. How hard is it to just be nice and understanding to a patron?! So no, I’d have a hard time recommending your hotel to anyone! Beds were uncomfortable, one just had a top sheet instead of a fitted sheet. I just feel like you could do a lot better, and I hope you want to.

Cons: Very dirty. We found used q- tip on the bathroom floor, and the fridge had yellowish ice in it. The motle has a its own restaurant, and the lobby and walkway felt like the back of the restaurant kitchen. Okay for one night stay only. Will not book again.

Cons: I was BLOWN AWAY by the horrible staff and their rudeness. First I was told I did not have a reservation (for which I had already paid in full), then I was told I would not get the two double beds I had reserved, instead they would give me a king. Considering I was with a co-worker, this is completely inappropriate. Finally, I was able to get a room with two beds, but they demanded my card. They said if I did not give them my card to run, they would not give me a key to the room. They ran my card and required my signature before they would hand over a key, thus I ended up paying for this room twice. When the charge had finally been processed, I called the hotel to try and straighten it out, and was hung up on multiple times. I had to report fraud to my bank (the transaction is still being investigated a week later). Lastly, when I was finally able to head up to my room, it had not yet been cleaned. The nasty front desk lady just happened to be in the adjacent room and told us to move there, she said she was "pretty sure it had been cleaned" and took our key from the other room back, never giving us a key to the room we actually ended up in. I had to wait for a shift change before the front desk would give us a key to our room. The room smelled terrible and the bathroom was filthy and wet. Awful experience in a wonderful city.

Inn seamed to house the homeless on a weekly or monthly bases. I am glad these people had a place to stay, but They asked us for money and cigarette lighters. Not what we were looking for on our vacation.
