Pros: The location is good for accessing downtown Anchorage - the Anchorage Museum is a short walk away, and you can catch a shuttle to the Alaska Native Heritage Center nearby (we didn't realize this until it was too late but good to know for others). The front desk folks were nice and helpful. There are restaurants and breweries walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was adequate - no complaints from us but it is not elaborate (if that sort of thing is important to you). Overall, a good value.

Cons: The treatment from the staff at my check-in was terrible. I was racially profiled and denied a room. Random people also walked into my room at 6/7am on multiple mornings. There was no knock before entering on either occasions. I also had the cleaning service wake me up at 8am each morning. Very unprofessional all around.

Cons: There was an older lady there he was the manager and she was terrible. We were on a budget and so excited to be in Alaska and she ruined the whole trip for us they charged R credit card not once not twice not 3 times but 4 times and all of that money was on hold the entire time we were in Alaska so we had no money to spend. I went back to Anchorage over a 150 miles away the next day when I found out what had happened and she promised she would fax a letter to my banks as I could release the funds but the letter never came . I think you need to talk to your manager this was horrifying experience we had saved for years she was neglectful and knew nothing about what she was doing

Cons: Room way too warm - no way of changing temp. Not the hotel's fault but the train line is close and there is a road crossing so drivers sound horn often and loudly. Didn't really bother us but if you don't like noise ask for a room on the back.

Pros: Location is ideal if you are traveling by train. You can easily walk to the Train Depot in a few minutes. But you don't have to walk! The shuttle is always waiting when a train arrives and is available to take you to the depot with your luggage.
Cons: Rooms need updating. Our A/C was very noisy and we needed it since Anchorage was experiencing record high temperatures when we visited.

Pros: The breakfast and the hostess was really nice, she was very attentive and always smiling. The location of the property was ideal next to the train station. The shuttle to the airport was on time and very helpful.
Cons: We received a phone call while sight seeing in Seward that our room was infested with bugs and they needed my ok to move us to another room which I gave. The evening staff when we returned knew nothing about the situation, we never received a call or any information on what the pests were. (left a day later) Our belongings were moved in boxes and some were wrinkled in a pile in our suitcases. Room had no phone to call the desk, we had to use our cells to complain that evening around 11pm when the local kids were drag racing and squealing out in the parking lot across from the hotel. My husband called the police after the front desk said, oh they do that, it will end soon! The policewoman told my husband, oh are they up to that again! The police came and it ended. I developed a rash on my leg-hiking or from our "pestilence infected" room? Staff and managers were totally unresponsive!!

The cafe on the main floor, although a bit weird, had very good soup. The "weird" comment is that we were given lots of take-out containers even though we asked to eat in the cafe. The hotel is okay for the price, but I think I would stay somewhere else next time.

Cons: We stayed overnight on a holiday weekend so nothing was open in the area for shopping or food (not the hotel's fault). As we walked toward downtown, looking for a place to eat, there seemed to be homeless people and mentally ill people everywhere. I don't think the hotel is in a very good neighbourhood. Being two women traveling together, we felt a bit uncomfortable so didn't explore Anchorage further.

The bed was very comfortable and the service from the staff was impeccable especially Vishnu (Supervisor) at the front desk, valet parking guys, and restaurant staff. The hotel sits in downtown Anchorage, close to shops, restaurants, parks and the weekend farmer's Market. The room was quite comfortable and the hotel has a gift shop, restaurant and cafe/bistro serving coffee, tea and light sandwiches. WiFi is free.

Cons: When I arrived at the hotel, the air conditioning was not working in my room at all. Staff did not offer to do anything about it and even rolled their eyes when I complained about it. The elevators were also down a lot of the time over my 2-day stay. When I called to report the elevator, staff simply said "Take the service elevator" which was extremely dirty. It was slow due to staff getting on and off, which I understood. I asked a bell hop where the "washrooms" were and he smirked and asked my if I meant "restroom" and then asked if I was "Canadian or something", which was off-putting (I am not Canadian, but I imagine I would have been even more insulted than I was!) I was overall disappointed with the attitude by the staff in general. They have a sign on the front desk that says "We want to make it right." but they certainly did not live up to that creed. Pros: The view from the bedroom was heavenly. With two sets of windows, one with mountain view and the other with city view was so breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable and the service from the staff was impeccable especially Vishnu (Supervisor) at the front desk, valet parking guys, and restaurant staff. The hotel sits in downtown Anchorage, close to shops, restaurants, parks and the weekend farmer's Market. The room was quite comfortable and the hotel has a gift shop, restaurant and cafe/bistro serving coffee, tea and light sandwiches. WiFi is free.
Cons: On guest entering the room, hair was in the floor - bathroom floor, bedroom floor and even in the shower. The bedroom is carpeted and apparently was not cleaned properly as bits of debris from past guests suitcases, safety pins and hair bands were left laying around. The pillows were too soft and although coffee and tea packets were made available, no water, or small fridge or kettle or (microwave though the provision of this is not common understandably) was in the room. There is no parking if you decide to get a vehicle and valet costs $32.00 per day. The bedroom I was offered was next to a utility room and during business hours, got noisy from housekeeping staff. Housekeeping also didn't clean the room properly after inroom dining tray and utensils were left in the same place in the room. For the Hilton brand, I expected better!

I As a matter of fact I was very disappointed and I told the front desk that - also, I asked the front desk if I can get a refund and not stay there at all after the front desk told me that there is no restroom in the room, no breakfast, and you can smell the cigarettes right away right before you enter the front door all the way to the parking lot. Recommend to have a designated smoking area at least 50 feet away from the building. Everyone smokes right outside the front door and in front of the hotel. There wasn't a breakfast. The restroom is shared with everyone - I didn't see it when I booked the reservation. It should be highlighted and noticeable easily that way everyone can see it ASAP before they make their reservation.

Cons: The hotel is old and should be updated. The air conditioner was noisy (visited during summer heatwave). The bathtub (non-jacuzzi) is higher than most without handrails. It was hard to get into shower and slippery -- it's an accident waiting to happen.

Cons: It was scruffy, dirty & run down. The furniture had worn, split upholstery. The carpets were worn, dirty and shabby. The window cills had dead insects , dust and litter on them. The bathroom needed a deep clean with residual dirt around the basin taps and the lavatory seat fixings broken revealing years of accumulated dirt. The furniture didn’t fit the room obstructing the doors. Room 216 faces the setting sun & was very uncomfortably hot with no cooling available; closing there curtains when making up the room would ameliorate this problem. There was ponding water on the roof by the ventilation outlets, ideal conditions for LEGIONELLA to develop. Frankly, I don’t know how Ramada or Wyndham lend their names to a place like this. The staff are the only good thing there & why should they have to struggled with poor management like this?

Pros: Property was very close to the train station and downtown shopping area. It is an older urban hotel, but very clean and spacious. Room price included a very nice hot buffet breakfast.

Pros: The room was dirty, the bed lumpy. We found someone's package of cigarettes in our room. We named this hotel the back breaker because that's what your bank felt like after trying to get to sleep and not think about how horrible the room was. I did not easy the food I wad tell scared! I still have not gotten my $150.00 security deposit back. That was on top of charge already paid. It has been two days.

Pros:
Cons: WiFi was not working the entire 5 days I was there. Had to switch rooms because door wouldn’t lock and TV wouldn’t work. Once I switched rooms the bathroom light went out on my second day there. I asked 3 times for someone to fix it to no avail. Had to shower in total darkness the rest of the trip. Breakfast was same everyday and over cooked eggs were not good!

Cons: The property was pretty dumpy. Everything could be updated and cleaner. Walls were paper thin. There was a giant water leak in the ceiling of our shower.

Cons: worried about my car be parked in far parking lot-no lighting. Took everything out of car at night. Good thing too....car next to me didn't and next morning their drivers side window was smashed open. Trash bags from rooms previous day left in hall most of next day. They advertise free breakfast but it was very minimal.

Cons: My room wasn’t ready at check-in time. I had to ask for pillow cases to put on our pillows by us. The breakfast was little muffins in a plastic wrapper. 3 or 4 vehicles were broken into in the parking lot while we stayed there. The parking lot had zero security or cameras. Homeless people and thieves were all around the hotel. My daughter found a gummy bear on the floor in our room from a previous guest and ate it before we could stop her. Also, the door knob to the bedroom was broken and did not allow us to secure the door. The room had a kitchenette , but they charged you extra for all of the cookware. Staff was not friendly or accommodating. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had and I travel a lot.

Cons: there were so many people that didn't belong around they're just going in and out of the motel this little old lady needed help I helped her by going to the front office who gave me a key to her room without even ID me or making sure I was supposed to be in that room it was terrible

Cons: When we checked in, the room is not clean at all -- the trash can is full, towers from previous customer left on the floor; the floor is dirty. So we called the front desk and found out it happened not only to my family, but to another two travelers as well; And the help desk was not quite help too -- we waited till 6:30 pm when someone came to clean our room and even after that the room was still very dirty. The breakfast is just Muffins and bars if that could be called breakfast.

Cons: Took 45 minutes to check in: the young lady at the desk was unable to complete my reservation: “I can find you on blablabla but not on the blebleble “. After she had made 3 phone calls for assistance, I asked if we could please just have the room keys and we would pay in AM. We had been on airplane 8 hours and by now it was 2:00AM our time and we really needed to get to bed. Finally another young lady showed up to help—-no greeting, no apology for problem, got us signed in and rudely told the other young lady was she should have done. Obviously clerk #1 was not given all the training she needed;she should have received assistance with first phone call; clerk #2 should have been friendly and apologetic and should NOT have chastised co-worker. We had trouble finding parking lot #2 since lot #1 was full. The room never cooled to the 65 deg we set the thermostat for. No ice machine available and there were no ice cube trays in freezer.

Cons: When you say breakfast be CLEAR it's not breakfast it's fruit, granola bars and some yogurt. It is also NOT replenished. I came down ad 9:00 and nothing was out/left but 2 granola bars, I asked the front desk and they said what's out is out.. Not very happy about that. Also the tub f acute leaked all night drip, drip. and the carpet was not vacuumed very well, lits of dust bunny's.

Cons: The receptionist ignored us when we were trying to enter the locked building since we arrived before the stated check-in time, the room was smaller than expected with only a desk chair to sit, and the breakfast was microwave popcorn and mini granola bars.

Cons: First: bedbugs. Do not stay here. Second: staff seems totally disorganized. I arrived after midnight, at a time I had confirmed via email, and the night clerk told me I'd have to wait 10 minutes (actually 30) for them to clean the room. I guess I'm lucky they had a record of my reservation at all? The cleaning staff had their friend just hanging out in the room while they worked, and left some half-eaten food in the fridge. Third: while the location is ok for downtown Anchorage it's insanely overpriced, I can't believe I paid nearly $100 for a night in this shithole, and got 20 bug bites to show for it. Fourth and finally: the "breakfast" consisted of lukewarm coffee, stale muffins, and hard-boiled eggs. I guess that's technically food.

Cons: A lot of homeless people/drunks hanging around at all hours. You cannot pre-arrange the shuttle. You have to arrive, call, and then wait for them to pick you up, which can take some time (we waited around 45 minutes). Hotel could definitely use renovating.

Cons: The room was very low grade. It had a two burner stove top, that had burn marks on the wall, a refrigerator, no microwave, one metal pot and two glasses. The wood floors were dirty, with a layer of invisible grime. Hot, no air conditioning and 84 degrees.
