Pros: Lovely family run place in the centre of Amalfi town. The owner met us off the ferry and carried our bags up to our room which was very welcome in the heat of the day! Great breakfast served on their roof terrace. Would highly recommend.

Pros: Very clean. Welcomed with a smile. They made sure I had a cake for breakfast freshly baked. Since I’m a coeliac.
Cons: Nothing

10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel provided the best all around experience I have ever had traveling! The room was spacious, clean, and had a large balcony with a view of Amalfi’s main square. What truly made the experience special though, was Vincenzo and his family. They were caring and kind and always made great suggestions for places to visit and eat. The breakfast that they provided daily was delicious and fresh. My wife has a gluten allergy, and they made sure to make something special for her each morning that was gluten free. Overall, this hotel is ideal if you are looking for more than just a bed to sleep in, as you will leave feeling like you have made great new friends.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Vincenzo was a great host! He meet us at the ferry wharf and organised a luggage transfer to the apartment free of charge. The location is beyond fabulous. It is in the heart of the piazza, which makes the experience of Amalfi as authentic as you can get. Breakfast was fabulous and generous and Vincenzo took genuine interest in our experiences and offer great local tips. Our room was fabulous, it was large, beds comfy and everything very clean and well maintained!
Cons: Nothing. These guys are great!

Pros: Wonderful attention and hospitality from Vincenzo, Lidia and staff. Porter service to and from ferry fantastic. Rooms beautifully clean and well equipt and breakfast each morning to die for. Vincenzo offered great sightseeing suggestions of the area. Centre of town. Would highly recommend and hope to return one day
10,0 Excellent
Pros: How Vincenzo and his mother-in-law looked after us - we felt like family with his mother-in-law. Every day he had things for us to do. It was fantastic. He arranged cars to pick us up at the airport - nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: Nothing
7,7 Good
Pros: Our room in Residence Luce is very clean, comfortable and spacious. Because of low season, we've got upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice. The breakfast was much better than we expected for a B&B. There were cheese, ham, eggs, juices, milk, cereals, muffins, different types of bread, cakes, tarts and even fresh fruits, though I think there were only two of us there. We can see that lots of efforts were made to build a reputation for the place.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: staff is so kind.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: This was our favourite place in all of Italy! Vinchenzo went out of his way at every oppertunity to help us, organizing both a trip to Pompei and a cooking lesson for us. The hotel is beautiful, clean and spacious. It was truly the only place we stayed that had thoughtful and modern decor. Breakfast was delicious, and there was a big spread every morning (cheeses, bread, meats, cakes, pastries, oj, yogurt and coffee). We would stay again without hesitation.
Cons: Nothing. Vinchenzo and his family were lovely, warm and helpful. The room was clean and modern with beautiful tiles and hardwood. The loft was nice because it gave us more room to spread out and relax.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant staff, lovely room, great location. This place really did live up to all of the very positive customer reviews.
7,0 Good
Pros: The hotel location is marvelous. Enjoying the street from the balcony (Yes the room had a beautiful balcony ) to the Amalfi center. The family environment made me feel like home. our daughter enjoyed the stay a lot. The room we stayed was cleverly split with a intermediate floor as bedroom increasing the space.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly -- superb welcome, help with car parking by owner Vincenzo
Cons: because the apartment was stayed in is 2-story, when the heat was on, the lower part was a bit cold when the top was comfortable.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect, very nice and comfortable, and the people are very welcoming and helpfull!
Cons:
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Vincenzo and his staff were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was comfortable and immaculate. Vincenzo's cafe, located a few steps away in a quiet piazza provided a nice refuge from the nearby touristy and busy duomo piazza. I would stay at the hotel again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel on the Amalfi Coast.
Cons:
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and the attention to detail was excellent. The prices of the mini bar was very reasonable and the location was right in the middle of the town.
Cons: Would be good to know in advance that the parking wasn't free but it wasn't a major problem.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: centrally located near the dome plaza in Amalfi center - easy to find and only a 300 m from the central bus station in Amalfi - a very warm welcome by Vincenzo's very friendly team - tasteful furnished rooms - lovelly house and people - we would always choose Residenza Luce again!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We spent 5 days at Solaria in July. The hosts, Emilio and Angela are lovely couple, very helpful and they made sure we have a perfect vacation. Emilio gave us lots of useful advice, what to explore, where to eat etc., helped to arrange the transfer (from/to airport) and the scooter during our stay. Room is clean, with a magnificent view over the sea. It is a quiet, lovely place on top of the hill right to the coast, so scooter is the best means of transport, strongly recommended. Angela’s breakfast is just amazing/incredible, fresh, rich and homemade, it’s a must try
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It's a great place between Amalfi and Positano Better with a car , the owners of the place Emilio and his wife Angela are amazing people who help everything, the room is very clean, a delicious breakfast and everything is fresh
Cons: Everything was great.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Angela's breakfasts were always amazing and delicious! Three cakes to choose from every day as well as freshly prepared omelettes and frittatas were above and beyond what we expected for breakfast! Emilio, Angela and Dominico were warm, friendly and very approachable. Thank you for a fantastic time! Beautiful remote setting away from the hustle and bustle of the Amalfi Coast with stunning vistas of the sea and mountains around us. Despite arriving 2 hours before our check in time, we were greeted warmly and served fresh orange juice and amazing chocolate cake!
Cons: My *only* gripe is that our bed in room 1 was far too hard! I did not however mention this to Emilio or Angela as I believe there wasnt much they could have done about it, and the softness of beds is very subjective.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything, Amilio was amazing and give as a good device for the trip his wife gorges and a great cook They have dan every thing to satisfy us and we will be happy to come again
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location with a splendid view to the sea. The owners are very nice and helpful hosts and the breakfast is excellent, not to mention the lovely hot-tub that can be used without extra charge.
Cons: It has nothing to do with the B&B itself but transportation to the place can be tricky and unreliable. Your best bet is to rent a scooter.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean and spacious room with huge en-suite. Our hosts Emilio and Angela made us feel very welcome. Emilio offered us lots of advice and Angela’s breakfasts were incredible!! It’s a lovely place to relax.
Cons: It was a little further away from Amalfi than we had originally realised (Our fault entirely). We found parking in Amalfi centre was limited, the Luna Rossa car park was great, but it was full some days and it was very expensive! The buses worked well though as an alternative although they don’t run late.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It's a lovely place to relax with awesome views. Owners keep the place in pristine condition and are also very keen to help.
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent

Pros: The breakfast room is unbelievable. Staff is wonderful. Choice is great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wow beautiful hotel, smack in the middle of Amalfi, staff fantastic, breakfast was ample and plenty of variety to suit all tastes, room 7 was extremely comfortable with an upstairs area and balcony, bathroom/shower was extremely clean and the shower powerful, bed comfy and room was very quiet on a night, loved our stay here in Amalfi and the Hotel Floridiana
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Before our stay at this hotel I wasn't sure if we should have booked a pricy hotel in Positano or if I had done the right decision staying in Amalfi. After visiting Positano, which I thought was an over populated tourist trap overflowing by shops selling overpriced things made in china, Amalfi was a breath of fresh air. The town is super cute, the hotel is very well located, the beds were very comfy (not extremely hard like the rest of the beds in our trip), the breakfast was great and the jacuzzi was amazing, we went at night and it was the perfect way to relax after a day of walking a lot. The staff was very friendly and they made dinner reservations per our request. Highly recommended!
Cons: Driving was a little stressful but if you follow the hotel's instructions and wait for the light and drive slow, you'll be fine.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We drove to this property. Upon reaching the town we had the police stop us and we advised where we were staying. He radioed someone and we then Proceeded to the Garage which is a fair way up the street. They were expecting us. The luggage service was also called, so they collected our bags which we had within 10 mins of checking in. The process was outstanding! We were greeted warmly and checked in. Our room although looking a little dated in its styling was immaculate. The owners obviously take great pride in their hotel and it shows. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked well but the aircon didn’t not cool so well in room 5. The location is right in town but not noisy. There is a lift which saves you from walking up more stairs. Lots of restaurants nearby. I would certainly recommend this lovely hotel for anyone wishing to stay in Amalfi.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff, the best!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely perfect location to everything. Close to Train station, Port and Spaccanapoli
Cons: Liked everything
7,5 Good
Pros: Liked the petite lady on reception. Very cheery and helpful. The breakfast had plenty of choices. The spa was good and the location was great.
Cons: There was a smell in the room. It was clean, just this underlying smell. Possibly a cleanser masking ‘something’....Our room overlooked a courtyard. Fine, but at about 10 to eight in the morning the male reception bellowed at a lady putting rubbish in the bin. Possibly rules, but we found it a bit unnerving. And much noisier than what she was doing. Same gent watched us eating breakfast. Charging for tea and coffee in the room. It seemed ungenerous and not hospitable. Why not just provide a limited amount? Why have it at all? Possibly catering for an English market? The tiles in the bathroom, very slippery. Don’t think we’d stay again. Except for the spa! Probably try Sharon House which was next door- so same good position....And a lot cheaper
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location and incredible staff. We stayed here last year and could not wait to come back. Ava is lovely in reception, as is Filiberto in evenings. You will just never want to leave! Breakfast room is a work of art.
Cons: Air conditioning did not deliver. Way too warm in room. Would still come back though.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were brilliant, great location, great rooftop jacuzzi
Cons: None
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location is near the cathedral and bus treminal and port. The back entrance with elevator is quite helpful when you have heavy luggage.
Cons: Nothing particular.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, right in the centre. Exceptional helpful reception staff who made us very welcome. Classic decor and very smart/spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast but good choice inc eggs. We were in a Junior Suite which was great. We also used the hot tub on the roof terrace. Overall very happy with our choice of hotel
Cons: Would have liked a bar in the hotel for a beer after walking around the town, but this is essentially an upmarket B&B residence. However there is a mini bar in room and the prices are the most reasonable I have ever seen in any hotel in Europe !

9,6 Excellent
Pros: LOCATION WAS PERFECT!!! The beds were comfortable and the bathroons clean. The staff was aextreamly helpful and helped us determine the best travel plans there from Rome. The breakfast was great and the very friendly woman that took care of breakfast was so welcoming. The hitel is energy efficient, which was very surprising. The key card controls the power in the room. GENIUS!!! All the lights are sensored. Great stay, we really loved it! Oh yea, the pick up from the ferry port was soo nice. The roof top patio has great views.
Cons: The patio furniture could have been cleanier. There is another hotel that shared the patio that has a small like pool, adding this feature would be great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: If you are looking for the authentic Italian experience I could not recommend this hotel higher, from the beautifully furnished bedroom to the stunning roof terrace overlooking the cathedral steeples we enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The owner Gennaro could not have been more helpful and included in the price you have access to daily tours which we took advantage of and had an amazing day in Ravello and walked back to Amalfi on a guided tour. I cannot commend the hotel staff more, this by far has been our best experience in all of our travels and commend Gennaro and his team.

Location is the best, only a 5 min walk from the bus or boat drop-off. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Room was big and comfortable. In summary, a perfect home base to explore the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Highly recommended!!!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Can not fault the convenience of the location - just off the middle of the Main Street without any of the noise
Cons: We went in peak season so obviously the price was high (although in keeping with similar properties). The room was beautiful with traditional furnishings, the bathroom was a little run down
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Genaro was exceptionally helpful. He went out of his way to make our stay the best possible. He knew the best local restaurants, told us about things we could do etc. It was one of the most attentive and helpful service we have ever received.

Pros: The view was superb, the rooms were clean and the staff was extremely helpful. Special thanks to Assunta for her warm welcome and Gerrardo for his help in the long stairs!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, highly recommend the junior annex, it's your own private part of paradise.
Cons: Could have done with a freezer for ice cubes when the drinks were flowing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment you arrive and see the breathtaking view, you know this stay is going to be special. The stairs can be a little daunting for some, but the staff at Villa help you with all your bags (going down and up) and once you are at the resort, you find it was worth that walk. Assunta was SO nice--even helping translate when my husband wanted to rent a Ferrari--and everyone there went out to make our stay comfortable and easy. They even helped arrange a taxi for us to go into town to eat dinner. One bonus for us was that the feast of St. Andrew was going on in the nearby town of Amalfi, so I was sitting in the hot tub at around midnight, watching fireworks...which made a great evening and stay even more spectacular. Other bonuses are that they have great breakfast and drinks onsite and there is an amazing restaurant within walking distance of the Villa...so if you want to just go to relax and take in the view and the ocean, that is totally doable as well. We highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back as soon as our schedules allow! :)
Cons: The stairs can be challenging, especially if you are not used to heat. Wasn't a problem for me and my husband, but if you are not in shape or have physical impairments, it is good to know so you can plan ahead to make adjustments (start practicing stairs, ha ha).

Pros: Lovely hotel, Luca and his crew really made everything to make our stay perfect. The room was clean and nice, the view from the terras ,were we had our breakfast, was just magic. The staff helped us to book restaurants, bath boats and gave us tips for nice trips. I can really recommend Villa Lara.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is only 2 minutes from downtown where all the restaurants and shops are. Just a couple more minutes you are at the Ferry and Beach. It feels like you are on your private castle the soonest you go true the gate and up the 116 steps (also they have a lift). You leave your busy life behind and just relax. It is so quiet and still so close to busy downtown. The staff will do everything for you. This would be my place to escape anytime I go to Amalfi.

Pros: The location, the amazing staff, the service
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so lovely and friendly and really made the stay so enjoyable. I have never felt so welcome in any hotel before. The view from the terrace is stunning! The hotel is in a great location, a short walk from the main square. The breakfast was wonderful. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The personnel are so kind and helpful
Cons: The lightening was not so good in the room
9,6 Excellent
Pros: the view was amazing. the best staff i have ever seen at a hotel. my advice is listen to the recommendations from the staff on were to go eat or swim or anything else they will not steer you wrong. Nice breakfast included and eating it out side on the balcony with the amazing view is priceless.
Cons: the only thing i did not like is that i got a single bed and it ended up coming apart where the bed frame was because it was made from ply wood and attached with plastic, so when you sit down on it hard or fall on it the frame would come apart. i recommend making sure not to get the single bed but a queen or larger bed
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The staff was super helpful and kind! Our favorite stay in Italy!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The view is incredible and the location is quite interesting. Situated right in the valley and on top of what seems to be a rocky hill, you get one of the best views without having to climb upward for half an hour thanks to the elevator right in the mountain. Stuff is super friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious, very clean and modern.
Cons: Loved everything about this place, but I think breakfast could be improved with some freshly baked pastries etc.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was our (my fiancé and I) home base for a week while we took day trips along the coast and enjoyed Amalfi. Excellent place to stay! Nice big room with a private bath. The staff clean the room every day. The breakfast is excellent and includes croissants, fresh fruit, bread, cereals and made-to-order eggs, meats etc. Also cappuccinos! The staff are super friendly and helpful, they gave lots of tips on best ways to travel along the coast and things to do. Short walk from the beach and they have an elevator so very few stairs!
Cons: Everything was excellent.

Pros: Our room had great views of the mountain side and the ocean views. Our hotel was at walking distance to everything and yet in a quiet beautiful area. The staff was amazing in every way. Very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was great . Rooms are lovely and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Loved everything. Would highly recommend. Thank you Villa Lara Hotel.

Pros: We has such a fantastic and memorable experience at Villa Rina's. The most spectacular views over Amalfi Town, unbeatable! Rina is kind, friendly and happy to assist with anything. The rooms a spacious, clean, comfortable and well decorated. Rina is a very talented cook, her dinners on the terrace are an amazing experience. Must try during your stay! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful on the terrace prepared by Rina. Highly recommend staying at Villa Rina. Thank you for such a special stay! :-)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our most favorite place to stay out of our 9 days trip in Italy. So personalized. Our host was warm, courteous and personally greeted us upon our arrival. Stunning view and comfortable stay. Air conditioner, and hot shower were lovely to have. Homemade breakfast right out of the garden. Only 7 minutes drive to downtown and the coast. The water was great! Bring your swimsuit (in summer season)! We would return and recommend this place to anyone.
Cons: Lack of parking lot so once the valet parked my car in the garage, we had no access to it until it was returned to us the following morning upon our departure. We couldn't leave at 6 AM but had to wait till 7 AM at their earliest convenient. 25 euros payment to the valet. It appears to us that it is not very safe to walk down the narrow road towards the downtown with heavy traffic. So driving there was the best option. Parking will cost money if you are lucky to find a space.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Rina was very kind and made a great meal for me. The view was great
Cons: Steps were very tough with luggage - highly recommend having her assistant take your bags for an added fee. Unclear how anyone with difficulty walking would manage these steps.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breathtaking views. Peaceful location . 20 mins walk to Amalfi town Felt like home . Rina was a great Host and great cook. Personalised service
Cons: 200 steps to climb up which were a bit steep but got use to them after a few days . Found a short cut
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Home cooking and making us feel comfortable
Cons: Many stairs
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Rina is an excellent owner, hostess and chef! She was very helpful is giving us directions, places to visit and a wonderful cook. The view from the property is beautiful however the only drawback are the 200 steep steps you must climb to get there. I thought I could do it but it was extremely difficult. If you work out daily this climb would be fine. We walked down the stairs to city centre and took a bus back in the evening but beware it is very dark and many steps down too.
Cons: Make sure and book a room with a bathroom otherwise its down the hall and down some steps.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view is amazing, and the owner is very charming. The location is perfect because not far from Amalfi city center by walking, but far enough to be quiet. I strongly recommend.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We all had such an amazing time here. Our car was parked safely in a neighbouring hotel and our luggage was carried up by a very hard working and polite porter. When we managed to climb up the steps we were greeted by a lovely young lady who treated us to fresh home made lemonade. We were then welcomed by Rina who is such an amazing lady and host. She will do anything to help. Rina has great knowledge of the island and gives out great advice on the much needed shortcuts down to the coast. The views from our room were just breathtaking and the villa stays cool. We also had a balcony and a side garden. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful and once again lovely staff bringing out fresh coffee, teas and we highly recommend their scrambled eggs. Most of the produce is actually home grown and home made by Rina herself. We also took advantage of the evening meal. Once again lovely staff, freshly made and very tasty. There was so much and we were regularly asked if everything was “good” and of course we always finished the evening with freshly made Limoncello. Delicious. We were sad to leave this wonderful part of Italy and would recommend this Villa to all our family and friends.
Cons: Nothing...even the steps didn’t put us off
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The most picturesque place I have stayed in my life. Rina herself is a wonderful Lady.
Cons: Well worth it undoubtedly. Be prepared for a nice walk and work out but well worth it
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The views are worth it all! The villa is perchedl on the cliffs over looking Amalfi. While you have to climb 200 steps to get there the view is worth the hike! The owner Rina is amazing and incredibly helpful. Call her before you make arrangements in the area and she will be an amazing help. Her breakfast is incredible too!’o
Cons: The hike is steep! Our shower did not have a curtain or doorway which made showering awkward.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Room quiet and with a superbe view.
Cons: Only accessible through more than 400 stair steps. Almost impossible to do by night. No way for those with any kjind of health or locomotion problems.
7,7 Good
Pros: Rina, views, food - all incredible !!!
7,7 Good
Pros: Everything was excellent. The house is in an amazing location, overviewing the sea and the hills. It was the most beautiful place we ever visited. Rina is a wonderful host and she took care of us like she was a part of the family, from greeting us with lemonade and giving us indications about what to visit, to searching for transport connections when we wanted to leave. Also, the food was excellent and we we would love to go to her cooking classes. We will for sure return here when we will have the chance.
Cons: It is not easy to walk the steps to the house when coming home late and tired. But Amalfi is built on a hill and you have to make a little effort to enjoy all the amazing things it has to offer.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: the view ,the natural place, the hospitality, the cusine.
6,3 Good
Pros: Hotel owner, Rina is very kind and friendly. Nice view from room. Dinner was good but costly for menu. If you bring heavy bags, I wouldn't recommend you the hotel, because there are lots of steps to reach hotel from the parking.
Cons: I will never stay hier again.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Villa Rina was beautiful with excellent service and very friendly and helpful staff. The location was excellent, the rooms were clean and most had a great view of the water. Also, the food provided was very good and made with all fresh ingredients from the garden. We had a great time staying here and would definitely stay here again!
Cons:
6,3 Good
Pros: Very hospitable, excellant food with a homely atmosphere. Definately not for the faint-hearted the hotel is up a lot of steps or down a lot depending on where you start from but it is a) well worth the climb and b) Victor will carry your baggage making the trip up a pleasure. The view from the hotel is amazing. If Rina offers to cook you dinner say yes, we had the best meals we have had since arriving in Italy.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The location could not be better - buses and ferry’s within a minutes walking distance. Fantastic staff who assisted in organising a boat tour to Capri and made dining recommendations. Very clean room and excellent breakfast on offer. I would only stay here if I visit Amalfi again!
6,5 Good
Pros: Best location. Very central.
Cons: Not very modern. Beds not so comfortable. AC turns off automatically when you leave the room.
7,5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very nice Although if you turn up with 20 mins to go Then the hot food was a bit in short supply Although a wide selection of cold buffet choice Nice staff serving
Cons: Found taxi service expensive And all prices equal with different drivers Bus service good but when bus arrives everyone surges forward in a bid to get on
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, across the street from the beach and around the corner from many shops.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent - overlooking the seafront and just round the corner from the Duomo and all the shops, cafes & restaurants. I loved sitting on my balcony after a day out and watching the world go by (and in August, there are a lot of people to watch in Amalfi!!). Although the town was extremely busy, when the balcony doors were shut, it was peaceful and quiet. Good air con in the room and a very spacious and comfortable room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was not cheap - but I considered it well worth it (but then, I love Amalfi). Breakfasts were typical Italian - the hotel catered for gluten free (I am coeliac), and did have scrambled egg/bacon for those who like a hot breakfast. Rooms also had a kettle & coffee/tea making facilities which was a definite bonus. Also getting laundry done was very good value as the laundry was priced per kilo....ok, it wasn't ironed but that's a detail that didn't bother me. The hotel also arranged a transfer to/from Naples airport - not cheap (but probably standard rate) but so much more convenient than trying to do it myself.
Cons: To be honest, I can't think of anything that I didn't like. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel and would not hesitate to go back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at check in and check out were exceptionally friendly. Nice room in a great location. Jet tub was. Nice touch.
Cons: Nothing.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect.
Cons: Room quite small for the price..... I guess you pay for the location.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Residence is situated at an awesome location. It is right across the beautiful sea and around the corner from the main square. You can easily leave the hotel, walk around the city and do some shopping, return to the hotel to change your clothes and rest for a while and leave for dinner. If you want to go to the beach there are options across the street - or you can take a boat-cab from the port a few meters away from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely take the Lemon Tour when you are staying!

Pros: Convenience to public transportation in a town full of steps. Lovely breakfast room with view and helpful in suggesting smaller, less touristy restaurants. Although on a busy street facing the harbor, my room was quiet at night, which was a bonus. I would go back.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Best location. Lovely staff, organised airport transfers and made reservations at restaurant for us. Porter service was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again. Loved every minute of it.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. Friendly and helpful. She provided us with good places where the locals eat. We were able to leave our clothes for laundry service and it was ready on the same day. Good location, however you have to climb 50+ steps to get to it.
Cons: One of our rooms had a very strong cigar smell. They provided air freshener but it barely helped. We had to leave our windows open during the day so it could dissipate a little, however as soon as we closed everything it still smelled. Climbing 50+ steps with our luggage wasn't fun. We later learned they have a luggage guy that can do it for a tip.

Pros: Absolutely stunning hotel . Highlight was the baroque breakfast salon.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Reception was very helpful. I liked everything about the hotel
5,7 Okay
Pros: Our hotel room was extremely clean and comfortable, though a little on the small side. The view from our balcony was amazing - great views of the sea and the beach. The hotel was located in a great area of Amalfi as it was close to the bus terminal/port and the main town square.
Cons: The breakfast provided was great but lacked variety. We got a bit bored of eating the exact same thing after 4 days.

Pros: Beautiful property on the cliff overlooking the water. Love the multiple floors and the sitting area at the reception. Breakfast was really good. All rooms have a water view. Place was romantic and staff was very attentive.
Cons: It’s a bit of a walk to get to center of town. I would like hotel to offer more times to and from the Amalfi Piazza and maybe to Ravello would be nice.

Pros: Very friendly staff, great views from the rooms and the dining hall. The main restaurant has amazing views and excellent wine.
Cons: The property is built into a cliff with various levels that are all not connected to each other. The lifts are small and slow.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room and all over the hotel was incredible. We loved being very close to Amalfi (10 min walk) but not directly in town. The staff was very nice and attentive and knowledgeable. The pool decks built into the cliff were an amazing place to hang out for the day.

Pros: The entire place was lovely! Staff was helpful from the moment we tried to park. Parking was available and secure. The food was delicious and had a full bar. The rooms were perfect for my husband and I! Would definitely come back!
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The family operated hotel was nestled in the mountain side only one km from the town of Amalfi. There was a bus stop directly outside the door of the hotel and another one 200 m up the road where you had the option to catch a number of buses should they be full. Buses run often and mostly regular. The food served in the hotel was all homemade within eyes view. All the food was local, much of it coming from the gardens surrounding and above the hotel. The homemade lemoncello was the best I've tasted. The staff were extremely friendly and anticipated your every need. They were versed in Italian, English and French. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The window shutters made the room pitch black and noise proof. The terrace at the top of the hotel was a great place to sun or just relax for an afternoon. Need bus tickets, no worries the hotel carries them and is quick to book any trips in the area.
Cons: I can't think of a single thing to say that needs to be changed about this hotel.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location is great and rooms were nice with a huge balcony
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, amazing breakfast, super clean, staff very helpful and friendly. It was an amazing time! My husband and I couldn’t chose better. The terrace is so pleasant and beautiful. The restaurant you must try! Food is so fresh and tasty! We had dinner 3 times there and we didn’t regret at all. Caprese salad is the best ever!! Andrea from the restaurant was so kind to us. We would like to say Thank you very much and hopefully we will come back again!
Cons: The bed is not very comfortable but it’s ok.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Dinner at the hotel is delicious and fresh in a comfortable setting. The lemon garden is unique.
4,0 Okay
Pros: The bus stops in front of the hotel (but then this contributed to the constant road traffic).
Cons: Hotel is extremely overpriced, too far from downtown Amalfi, and sits on a busy road. You can't ever open the window to enjoy the view or air because the road traffic is so severe and constant from early in the morning to after midnight. Amalfi is a 30 minute walk along the busy winding road where most of the time, there is no sidewalk. We walked where we could because the bus schedule is very unreliable. We took a bus into Positano one of the days and the bus going back was a full 2 hours late but we kept being told that it's 15 minutes away. Recommend staying closer either to downtown Positano or Amalfi. Mattress and pillows were really hard and uncomfortable. Owner scowls constantly and doesn't even acknowledge guests when they walk by him.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The personal was very helpful. We came by car and there is garage for parking. Very nice beach is located in 15 mins from the hotel (476 steps downstairs). Very-very good cuisine in their restaurant: with vegetables and fruits grown in the own garden of the hotel’s owner. Great view from the terrace!
Cons: Early check-out time.

Pros: The hotel was stunning. Our room with a balcony was beautiful. I loved the elegant decor. Breakfast was great, with some of the best views on the coast. So glad we chose to stay here instead of Positano, which we visited but was so crowded/overated I couldn't wait to come back to swim at Luna Convento. Ah, yes the swimming. The hotels own private beach club really made this hotel for me. Amazing location too and loved walking to Atrani. I really can't understand why this hotel does not have a higher rating. It really made our stay in Amalfi memorable.

Pros: Last came here 22 years ago. Returned with family. It seems virtually nothing has changed. Old school style, great views and wonderful swimming in the swimming pool across the road and off the rocks into the sea.

Pros: Great location and view. Shabby chic interior.
Cons: Just awful. There was a nightclub/party with loud noise playing until 2.30am under the hotel. The bass noise travelled through the floor and made sleep impossible. Then, the hotel started to do maintenance in the room next to us at 9am in the morning. Loud hammering and drilling in internal space continuously. So rude. The breakfast was also rubbish. Even though it is a reasonably priced place for the town, i would avoid.

Pros: Breakfast was delicious (croissants were massive and super soft!) and it was in the heart of Amalfi town. There was live music in the town at night which was super special (apparently the winner of ‘The Voice’ Italy). Friendly staff and room was comfortable and a perfect base to explore the coast. Would stay again!
