Pros: Where do I start... The location couldn’t have been better, it was central and a short walk to shops, parks, the zoo and if the footy was on it wouldn’t have taken long to get to. The room was amazing, I didn’t want to leave. Staff were great and friendly. The biggest plus for us was that they had a parking spot for our 2.4 m high car, no where else in Adelaide had a spot for us. Highly recommend, will be returning if I make it back to Adelaide.

But it also meant we heard the load music from the hotels that were behind the Soiftel -the music stopped at 4am so it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. Pros: We have stayed here twice on visits to Adelaide to see family - once when I was pregnant and more recently with a 7 month old. It is a great spot to stay - the accommodation is lovely, comfortable, clean and spacious. It is nice and quiet and looks out onto lovely gardens. You are just near a nice pub, restaurants and a few cafes and walking distance to the zoo. I would highly recommend a stay here and we will always stay here when we come to Adelaide.

Milk wasn’t replaced during our stay so I couldn’t make my early coffee this morning before our early departure - wasn’t worth calling housekeeping at that hour. The cup I used yesterday was replaced into “clean” draw but it still had my lipstick on it.

Pros: Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, making the check-in process easy. One of the few city hotels that has an undercover car park on site, that can be accessed via the hotel’s lifts. Our room had been recently refurbished, so everything was new and comfortable. Bathroom was new and well appointed. The King size bed was very comfortable. Great location with shops a short walk away, hotel bar and restaurant was excellent, but other restaurants close by if you want to eat elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again.

The carparking on the internet was specified as $12 per day yet we were charged $18 but there was no advice on the internet of the difference in charging for valet parking. No attempt was made by the staff to rectif that situation so for the difference of $6 and the non-help in this situation we will not consider staying here again nor recommend this to friends and work colleagues.

Cons: This is a party hotel where people come to spend a night in the city. Rooms very noisy, plain and lacking in style or ambiance. 1st room had a dividing door and we could hear every word that was spoken. We moved rooms. 10.30 at night a party started in the room next door of that room. We called down to reception. The hotel staff knocked on the door many times before they were noticed by the party going on inside! We cannot express how disappointed we were. We will never stay in another Hilton as standard is not guaranteed.

Cons: It was noisy with an interruption at 3 am of drunk patrons returning to their room. Also someone was smoking in the corridor-yet again in the early hours of the morning- which meant the smoke leaked into my room causing me to have a coughing fit. Most unpleasant. The lack of natural light also caused some consternation.
