Everything about the purchase, check in, boarding, the service, and the food was outstanding. We will absolutely fly Swiss Airlines again. There is one caveat. I kindly request the seat numbered 31K be inspected for its apparent ability to “over-recline” as my husband sat right behind in seat 32K and we quite smashed in. The woman in front of us acknowledged the dramatic lean back and tried to adjust, only to eventually keep sliding back further. Eventually my husband and I switched seats since he is 6’2” tall and I’m only 5’8” tall. We feel strongly the seat 31K needs to be tightened to negate excessive lean back. thank you!

But it was a great opportunity to have a lovely conversation with my new German Friend Barbara and read my book! The Munich-Chicago flight was delayed. At the end of the flight crew didn't bother to announce that people with tight connections should be able to leave the plane first, and a number of people didn't make their flight. During flight crew members were doing something to bathroom door while there were people using that bathroom, which was very disconcerting. Announcements over PA were not made clearly.
My flight was canceled and rebooked which I understood. The second booking was also canceled with no notification. The customer service rep would not allow me to fly into another airport due to a hurricane in my destination city and he hung up the phone on me.
Chairs are hard could be better. Other then that everything is ok
The cabin crew was excellent, efficient and professional. Some were knowledgeable in the passengers mother tongue, and addressed them in that language, a nice extra touch. Entertainment good, the plane kept clean. The food is the weak point: I have been flying Lufthansa quite a bit, and notice that their meals across the Atlantic invariably default to pasta. This summer, I flew both Air Canada and Lufthansa on different overseas flights. The food in Air Canada was better! That did not used to be the case a few years ago.

In Frankfurt we had to exit to the tarmac, bus and then re-enter airport and go through security again. There wasn’t any info and so it was a bit baffling to make the connection.
So now even with a 200€ flight you get only water and a piece of chocolate, no more food. Aircraft was 30 minutes late and no information on connection flights.

My ticket was booked through Lufthansa, but the transatlantic leg of my trip was operated by United. When checking in with United in Newark, I received two boarding passes, one for each leg of the trip. I arrived on time in Dublin for my flight to Munich and tried to board the plane for Munich with the boarding pass I had printed in Newark. After scanning my ticket, the Lufthansa employees at the gate informed me that they had no record of me or my plane ticket in their system. I showed them the email confirmation for my ticket, but they still could not find any record of my ticket in their online system. The employees seemed more concerned with boarding all passengers as quickly as possible than assisting me. After being denied boarding, I had to go back through passport control to change my flight, and ended up getting to Munich nearly 6 hours behind schedule and missed an entire day of vacation. A Lufthansa employee told me that out of every partner in the STAR alliance, United is the ONLY airline they have had this problem with. I find this inexcusable, I will be AVOIDING ANY United/Lufthansa connecting flight from now on."

24 hour delay due to a crew member arriving 1.5 h late. People clapped for this? Obscene. Will never fly delta again. A simple error could have been resolved by holding connecting flights for 15 minutes. But no, not enough passengers to cross the 8-10 person threshold. Lost $800 due to this malfeasance. Never flying delta again.

Cons: "I had paid for an upgrade to sit in the front of the cabin with extra legroom (row 14A). When I boarded a man sat it my seat. He had not paid for the upgrade, but the crew let him stay in my seat. I had asked him to social distance but he continued to sit right behind me bo matter which seat I moved to. He argued with the crew until they gave up and let him stay. They did not check his boarding pass or ask him to move to his assigned seat I found a different seat away from him but I don’t see the point in paying for extra legroom when the crew let’s people who haven’t paid for it sit it those seats. I felt harassed by the man and was very uncomfortable the whole flight. I am considering my next step, I think I should at least receive a refund for the upgrade I paid for."

Cons: "I have never been in a situation were a flight has been delayed due to the co-pilot suffering a knee injury prior to take off. A request for a doctor on board after an hour or so and then having to leave the plane and then re-board after about 40 minutes was quite bizarre."

Pros: "The staff were very helpful and professional. The air hostesses regularly checked if I was ok and showed concern when I wasn’t. They made what seemed a bad situation seem bearable."
Cons: "The food was not very nice and the option I wanted had run out. The entertainment was faulty and had to be reset several times. The comfort was below standard and needs to be improved."
Cons: "My first flight was cancelled my return flight was delayed by 5 hours They made me check my carry on even though it was with in the size limit which cost 85 euros and when trying to ask why the staff was extremely rude and not helpful worst flight experience I’ve ever had"
Pros: "SFO - CDG (Air France) was a great journey in all respects. But the one major reason for that was, the middle seat was empty. I was so fresh after the journey, would definitely recommend this flight to anyone."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by atleast 45 mins and therefore had to rush at the CDG airport to catch the next flight."
Cons: "My entire travel experience became extremely rushed and chaotic due to my flight being canceled and me being alerted -LESS THAN AN HOUR BEFORE IT TOOK OFF! This is unacceptable."

Cons: "Seats were tight and got a bit uncomfortable. This was a long flight. Could use a much better cushion."

Cons: "It is very difficult to get around CDG airport with a disabled person. There is no shuttle. By the time we got to check in, we were ten minutes late. They would not check us in, and we paid over $700 to change tickets to the next flight. When I complained, I was told to stop being rude or I would get no ticket at all. My mother is 94 years old and we did the best we could given the circumstance."

Cons: "We got socked with 40 Euro fees for our carry on plus personal item being 2 lbs over. The biggest problem is they were picking and choosing which bags they weighed. 10 people behind us and before us got in without incident. Plane wasn’t even half full so they were deliberately trying to make more $."

Pros: "There were 4 of us flying from Atlanta, there was a great amount of leg room, tvs were nice, remote control for the tv fit into the seat, the way the plane was laid out, the 4 of us sat in a middle row, which meant no window seat (which my sister was disappointed), dinner options were great, wine was complementary"
Cons: "My only problem was that there wasn't any air flow and until someone told them how hot they think it is, it was a very sweaty situation. I couldn't sleep because of how hot it was and I didn't think to tell the crew because I didn't know they would care."
