The spread of seating on the plane made no sense with many open seats but also many squashed rows of people. The crew was visibly tired and irritated, they also ran out of a few catering items. It seemed as if last minute, a few different flights were combined into this one which lowered the quality."

Cons: "At Mumbai airport, during check-in I was told that my carry on bag plus personal item together should weigh not more than 7kgs!! I have never had any airline actually weigh my personal item (laptop backpack) before this journey. Eventually I ended up stuffing my check-in bags with everything I was carrying in my carry on bag before I was allowed to check in. The weird thing is, I was never told about this rule on my journey from the US to India."

Our media system did not work for one leg. ** way to many ads on your media system. Every time you watch a new TV episode, you have to sit through 5-6 ads for stuff that is not interesting and the same each time. ** plane info on media system keeps reverting to Arabic even when English is indicated as preferred la gauge. We had to place our iPads in checked luggage for flights from harare to USA as we went through Qatar. *** I asked for quiet seats and was given seats near kitchen and toilet even though I booked in hours in advance. One leg had my ten year old daughter and I in different rows even though I checked in 4-5 hours in advance Of flight . ** staff moved my hand luggage without my permission and without informing me - it was stressful trying to find it."

I had no problems with my layover. The baggage allowance was great as I had extra luggage from my trip. I'm very happy with their customer service, the day before my first flight I received a phone call from Qatar's customer service saying that due to delays I wouldn't be able to make my connecting flight to Edinburgh so they would like to book me on another flight instead of me having to wait 24 hours in Doha. I was thoroughly impressed with this service."

This was the connector out of Dubai and back to Johannesburg. I've flown with them many times and I've picked up one or two small cut backs they've made like no hot towel when you get onboard, only before your arrival, and the meal seems a little more slimmed down (but still pretty tasty), They used have one or two extras which they've now taken away. Not sure why?"

Despite this they did help people without complaint, but you could tell they didn't want to be there. Again on this flight the TVs were an old model that was difficult to use, you had to push really hard and finagle your finger to get it to read what you were pressing."

Cons: "Flight initially was said to be 1 hour late and then it was cancelled altogether. There was no information about why and what are the next steps. People were just following blindly as the group moved, finally everyone was led out of the airport after immigration cancellation, then to baggage claim where we had to collect all checked in big bags and board a bus to take us to hotel . The hotel was good but getting there with the big bags for just a few hours and then the flight was scheduled for night (12 hrs later than original schedule) They could have just held the checked in baggage with them, or arranged an alternate aircraft to arrive sooner."

Somehow they managed a vegetarian meal but didn't provide any cutlery to eat which is highly unacceptable. Apologies don't serve any purpose if the passenger remains hungry just because of ignorant staff. 2. About entertainment option, less new bollywood movie choices"

Pros: "The staff were wonderful and efficient. The toilets were clean and the food was much better than my first flight with emirates although the portions were small on the main meal with only four spinach ravioli offered in a tomato sauce."
Cons: "Passengers do not fit on to their seats and overflow into the space you are occupying which is so tiny as it is. There is not enough room to even reach down to pick something up if you drop it. Overhead lockers are full. I think planes either need to be redesigned with sleeping compartments (such as the second class compartments the trains have) for overnight flights or seats need to be slightly larger to make up for the fact most people are larger today."

However, the staff member told me that 'if' RwandAir found my luggage, I would be responsible for going to the airport as RwandAir does not have lost luggage delivery like most airlines. For the six days of my holiday, I waited for phone calls and checked emails expecting to hear from RwandAir. I heard nothing, RwandAir had made no effort of any kind to locate my luggage they had mishandled. Upon flying back home, I checked with the initial airport (DXB), the transit airport (Kigali), and my final destination airport (Brazzaville). My luggage was not in any of the airports mentioned. In each airport, and the RwandAir office at the Brazzaville airport, I presented the initial lost luggage form from the prior week and it was apparent that nobody, no airport, and no office was interested in finding my luggage. RwandAir, at no point, apologized for losing my belongings or in any way attempted to make up for seriously harming my holiday- not to mention the fact that it appears I will never see my possessions that were last seen being taken by RwandAir staff at the beginning of my holiday travels."

You have to pass through another security checkpoint at the entry to the airport building, and a third security into the boarding area. The final security check even takes away any empty bottles you have. And don't take any fingernail scissors in your handcarry, even if they have blunt points. You may have an hour or more wait in preboarding, and without water or bathroom excess. So takke care of these needs in advance."

Chaos ensued, my bags got lost, I got stuck in Nairobi, etc. in Nairobi, one of the Kenya airways agents literally said to me 'avoid Rwandaair and precision airlines - they are both airlines that do not follow any regulations, and not just operational, but safety as well.'"

On top of the scheduled delay we were delayed an additional hour because boarding did not begin when it should have. I was also less than impressed with the movie selection on the plane. I will not be flying with Kenya Airways again and now understand why they were the cheapest option!"

I had already checked in and had a emailed boarding pass, but wasn’t let through security without the official airline printout. Although the Kenya Airways Nairobi flight was also delayed and was still several hours from boarding, their staff was nowhere to be found and none of their 10+ customer service numbers was working. I finally managed to get a hold of a representative over the phone via the airport’s information counter, and she swore that a staff member was on the way to meet me. Two hours and several calls and assurances later, the flight took off without me and the Kenya Airways staff stopped picking up the phone. Then there was a crazy several hours of back and forth as a single employee emerged and demanded that I get a letter from Air India taking responsibility for the initial delay, before disappearing again for several hours. The disorganization, unprofessionalism and outright lies I encountered were frankly bizarre and unlike anything I’ve encountered while flying before."

Dec 5 NBO to Entebbe was an hour late due to "passenger problem and luggage taken off" - LATE. Dec 10 Entebbe to NBO left an hour late due to "plane arriving late" - LATE. Dec 10 NBO to Johannesburg was an hour late due to "technical difficulties" - LATE. All 4 flights were at least an hour late leaving and arriving yet the pilots all said thanks for flying Kenya Airways - the Pride of Africa. This is what Africa should be proud of ?!? and Kenya Airways is proud of ?!? Passengers I talked to all were negative in their comments about Kenya Airways. All said there is ALWAYS something of a problem on a Kenya Airways flight. Lady on NBO to EBB flight next to me as we boarded plane and I said everything has gone smoothly so far, replied - the flight isn't over yet - and then we sat in the plane for an hour while they "removed passengers luggage". A man in NBO departure area as we waited to board JNB late flight said, the procedures and organisation are terrible with problems most of the time, which was why he was using up his reward miles because he didn't want to fly Kenya Airways again. This is the culture of this airline which is allowed to continue with seemingly no regard for the paying customers. If the powers that be such as the FAA, imposed a $100 credit to each passenger for late leaving or arriving, I would have received $400 back on a ticket that cost $750. Maybe the airlines would do something practical to remedy their problems and care for the paying customers rather than just saying "we are sorry for any inconvenience "."

They just kept telling us they didnt know when the flight would take off (or if it would) nor when they would have any additional information. An hour later they made one announcement over the speaker at our gate that our flight was boarding at another gate. However, many people had fallen asleep on the floor as I had and I would have missed it if one of my fellow passengers hadnt woken me up to say that we were boarding. We then sat on the tarmac a while longer for reasons that were not explained and finally landed 7 hours later than scheduled. Very little effort was put into communicating to us, making our wait comfortable nor apologizing for the inconvenience. It was a very frustrating experience."

Flight took off two hours late and not even some drink was offered. Very poor quality food. I called crew members for some help and they didn't show up. In the recess area also no food or drink was kept. We were kept hungry, thirsty and dissatisfied. Can't be worse than this."

If you miss a flight due to long lines at Indian passport control and / or security check then, unlike other airlines, Air India won't book on their next available flight as a courtesy. Rather, Air India makes passengers purchase a new ticket. In my case, I managed to reach the gate for my Chicago flight 15 minutes before departure but the gate had closed 5 minutes earlier. Next, Air India insisted I pay $1,400 for a new one way ticket. They said it's my fault that I showed up at the airport 90 minutes before departure instead of "4 hours". So even after getting a boarding card, for Air India it's the passengers' fault if there are long lines at passport control."

They provided snacks at night and then breakfast and in the early morning they provided lunch. The sequence should have been reversed. Choices for food were very limited. Chicken was served as only non-veg item. Fish or anything else was not a choice. Bottled water was provided and in the lunch item instead of yogurt or anything else, they provided another small container of water. Food quality and quantity was insufficient."

Pros: "Am a loyal air india flier from last so many years.But from last 2-3 years disappointed with the services."
Cons: "The person at the chek-in counter was so slow n rude.Even for 1kg of extra weight I was asked to remove.I flew with the same bag from delhi to mumbai n it showed as 23.3.The scale at mumbai showed 1kg more.Very few movie choices.Remotes never seem to work.Food quality goin down."

Pros: "Absolutely nothing"
Cons: "Everything! The staff didn't care about the passengers at all. The food was terrible. The TV's didn't work for the whole flight both ways - Headphones didn't work and we weren't even given one on our return flight. My dad's flight was delayed both times - he spent over 11 hours at the airport with no proper information from the staff. It was my first and most definitely the LAST TIME."

Please go to privatisation otherwise this brand never change air India always in loss. Bathrooms more than worste . Head phone won't work . It's a hell man but because of easy traveling v choose AI, govt should think about this flight attendants old n rude fellows. They r not friendly m a frequent flyer trust me officers . This is the time u should think iam a film actor from AP ."

Pros: "The flight took off at scheduled time."
Cons: "The TV and overhead reading light did not work, so I could niether read nor watch TV for 14 hrs of flight. Out of 4 Lavatories in my section, 3 stopped working halfway into the journey."

Pros: "I liked that we got there safely"
Cons: "The plane was very old. Things didn't work very well or not at all, such as the headphone jack & the remote control. My seat was broken and the leg rest would not retract which really restricted my comfort. The food was shocking, we did not receive any hot food for around 6-8 hours into the flight. Only got offered and Indian pastry and peanuts within the first 6-8 hours. For a 17 hour flight the food was not acceptable plus the choices were very limited. We did not get offered any alcoholic beverages & the staff were not very helpful I felt & the toilets were not kept clean or tidy at all throughout the flight. Overall not good!!! Would not fly agin with them. Lastly... I am Star Alliance Gold member and was misadvised at check in regarding upgrading."

Pros: "After the baggage checkin and boarding everything was great."
Cons: "The morons told me that i was on the US no fly list. Then we all had to go through three checkins . I think someone should run some background checks on the ground staff."

Pros: "Crew was good, departure & arrival timings were spot on."
Cons: "the aircraft was dirty, as if its not clean from sometime, threads coming out of seats, food was just ok, 40% of the TV screen doesn't work or the remote is not functional."

Cons: "Kept us in the aircraft for an hour and a half before taking off without any obvious reason - kept giving us conflicting stories. Some politician was seemingly using the flight as his personal jumbo jet."

Pros: "Friendly and courteous staff. Very helpful"
