Pros: "The crew did their best. The company, the policies, the times ... a different story."
Cons: "Stop boarding pets on a transatlantic 11.5 hours long flight - if the owners are nuts (although they swear they love their pets) air companies must be more responsible. The first air company that will refuse to cabin board pets will be my only company to fly for the rest of my life. Sometimes, saying NO is the right answer."

Pros: "On the plus side, the food, service, entertainment, and comfort on Turkish are the best of any Economy class overseas flights. For that reason, they are my top pick."
Cons: "I can't understand why I was booked with an impossibly tight connection. It's a huge airport, with multiple security checkpoints with long lines. I had an hour between flights, and the first flight landed just five minutes late. The gate for the second flight had already closed by the time I cleared the first security checkpoint. It would have been completely impossible to make it to the gate on time. Turkish put me up in a hotel, etc., for the night, and there were dozens of people in similar situations. But the airline shouldn't offer connections that are totally impossible."

Pros: "The food was delicious. I loved that there were blankets, pillows, and headphones for everyone and they were not at extra cost. We also received care bags with lip balm, socks, slippers and a night mask as well as a toothbrush and toothpaste. The flight did not seem like 12 hours. Thankfully."

Cons: "Retrieving the electronic equipment was a chaotic nightmare. There was no order. There were two lines where passenger did line up in than others cut the line claiming they had connecting flights. Those in charge never verified whether they were connecting to another flight. Never asked for their boarding pass. I heard some laughing saying they did no have connecting flights. I better job and method of handling this situation is needed as long as the ban is in effect. Otherwise, Turkish airlines is fine. My wife and I have traveled most airlines and travel extensively. So, we are aware of good service and bad. Your service minus the electronic equipment is good."

Pros: "Travelling with Turkish Airlines was pleasantly surprising! I'm used to domestic flights in the US which are no fun but as soon as I boarded our flight, the crew was so kind, I appreciated the pillows, blankets and extra care package provided with ear plugs, socks and an eye mask! It helped make the trip that much more pleasant to be able to sleep! I tend to get motion sickness and the crew on all four of our flights were so kind to give me water when I boarded the plane to be able to take my medicine. The flights were on time for the most part and the on-board entertainment helped a very long flight be more tolerable!"
Cons: "I had an issue with a passenger on our plane from Zanzibar to Istanbul but that was at no fault of the airline or the crew. One crew member was so sweet to allow my husband and I to move further back in the plane once boarding was finished. We were coming home from our honeymoon and the rude woman wouldn't get out of our seat so we could at least sit next to each other! It was unfortunate, but again, at no fault of the crew or airline and we were so thankful for the crew member helping us find somewhere we could sit together! I wish I would have gotten his name but it was on flight TK567 on May 4th. To whoever he was, thank you!!!"

Cons: "I was told that I can get a free Hotel since I had to wait for my next flight almost 16 hours. But when I got outside the airport at the Hotel Desk they told me that I couldn't. They told me one thing but in the end they didn't keep their word. I find it unprofessional and cheating. And on the way back I had food poisoning. Really disappointed about the whole trip."

Cons: "I've flown Turkish a few times before, and they're generally pretty good for the price. This trip was different. Despite Turkish Airlines policies outlined in their "Customer Rights," I received no notification that the flight was delayed 3 hours, and there was no notification at the JoBurg airport until you go to the counter to check in. JoBurg staff - which are Menzies third-party contractors, not Turkish staff - were disorganized, uncommunicative, and unhelpful. Only one person at the check in desk seemed to have authorization to make any changes, so all other agents were running back and forth to speak with him, and not communicating with passengers. It took over an hour to get clarity on the situation and rebook my connecting flight to Washington for a different flight 8 hours later. The only compensation offered was one meal voucher worth R100 (roughly $7). They would not even look at other Star Alliance flights for early arrival in Washington, and said they were not authorized to consider upgrading my ticket. When I called the Turkish customer service, they essentially said "What do you want us to do about it? You have to submit a formal complaint." Boarding was totally disorganized. In theory there are boarding groups, but after business class and all the high-ranking loyalty members, it's pretty much a mad rush. This seems to be the common practice for Turkish now. In general, Turkish has a great entertainment system on all their long-haul flights, with tons of movies - including very new releases - music, games, etc. They also provide complimentary kits with socks, slippers, eye mask, earplugs and dental kit, even for economy passengers. The meals are fairly good for airlines. However, legroom in economy isn't great. I'm 6'1", and had difficulty getting comfortable with my knees jammed into the back of the seat in front of me. On this particular flight, I was in row 18. The cabin crew were frantic, disorganized, and shouting to each other across passengers. One half of our row was served the meal, and the other half had to wait over 30 minutes to be served for some reason. By that time the vegetarian option was no longer available. Crew also had to run back and forth between service carts because they were frequently out of very common beverages (like sparkling water. And ice.), and on two occasions crew left a drawer from a cart full of trash sitting in the aisle. There were several times that crew ran carts into passengers - including once into my knee that was not in the aisle - and didn't even acknowledge doing so. They also stopped the carts in front of occupied lavatories, temporarily trapping passengers. So not terribly professional. While not specifically on this flight, the experience in Istanbul airport with Turkish Airlines' staff was awful. Zero interest in helping, rude and dismissive, and overall terrible."

Cons: "They did not board in priority and my sweet was double booked there was another passenger who had the same set number placing me now in the middle and I specifically asked for an aisle seat"

Pros: "I left my iPad in the seat back of my previous flight to Istanbul and by the next morning they had my iPad to me and Hungary! Very professional!"

Cons: "poor customer service and lack of speaking english made the trip very challenging. I don't think i will travel with Turkish air again."

Cons: "We boarded on time but the flight didn't leave for another 45 minutes or so. This made me miss my next flight when I landed in Instanbul. I think they might have been doing extra checks on the plane so it's fine. Even though I missed my flight and it was out of my control, I was able get another flight within 5 hours and free of charge!"

We got there safe and on time...what more do you need? Oh, and the price for my route was amazing; the next airline was $1000 more and the one after that $2000 more."

Pros: "What mede this trip so poor was that the agent at the desk informed me that as I was boarding the plane my carry on suitcase had to be checked due to limited space in the overhead bins. This is the same carry on that I have stored in overheads on literally over 100 flights including a United flight 4 days earlier. I was the approximately the fith passenger to board in group 3 and after I let her check my bag I walked on to the plane to see not only was it only one quarter full of passengers, most of the overhead bins were completely empty. So I had to go to baggage claim to get my checked bag after we landed which took almost 40 minutes. Very frustrating!"

Although scattered light rain, no seemingly unusual weather at EWR. No special reward once on the flight to make up for that delay (I.e. still charged for snacks and alcoholic drinks). Delay was very frustrating. Also, not a fan of selections on United WiFi entertainment - very limited."

If you find a reasonably priced flight you don't have to worry about paying extra for baggage or stomach during the flight. On the flight home, I realized that they have bigger seats, your bags ( 1 personal, 1 carry-on, and 2 checked bags) are "free" and they give you a little snack to hold you for maybe and hour. Overall I prefer Southwest because of all the benefits you get while flying with them but it doesn't mean I will never fly United again."

Cons: "After I booked my round trip flight to Denver from New Orleans I discovered that my mom had surgery to remove her breast cancer on the day I was originally supposed to depart. I called to see if there was anything I could do to change my flight to the next day and received no help what so ever. They said it would cost $200 just from the start. I couldn't afford that, so I just bought a cheaper one way ticket for the next day, not knowing that if I didn't catch my first flight that my return flight would also be cancelled. When I called to see if I still had my return flight I was told no and one again told it would cost $200 to do anything about it. So in the end, I'm stuck in Denver and bought a round trip ticket for absolutely no reason."

The kiosk lines were full so after having waited for a while I went to the actual counter since there we no people in line and the agent chased em back to the kiosk. I felt that that was a very poor reflect of customer service. I expect more from United."

Cons: "Really sad that you have to pay extra money to watch the monitors on the back of the headrest for a 2.5 trip. That's crappy. And then there is a point when you're out of the Directv Range. We're paying more for flights and then they have flight waitresses trying to monetize the time you're in the air. And when I was checking in in Berlin this guy was asking me a ton of questions, but didn't ask the next 5 people any questions. When I stared at him he started asking others questions. It's really none of your business why I'm going somewhere or what I'm doing. These terrorist attacks are giving people authority they have no business having."
