The only thing i can suggest is the points program then the sky will be the limit for you. Keep up the good work guys BIG UP."

Pros: "Seats were noticeably more spacious than comparable airlines. Good entertainment system and selection of films."
Cons: "Location of plug sockets, very difficult to use."
Cons: "The staff at Vic Falls airport tried to charge me several hundred dollars for extra bag fees. The fee kept changing depending on who I was speaking with and when I agreed to pay with my AMEX they said they did not take AMEX so they eventually waived the fee. This was only done after showing the manager a printed copy of my booking which listed that passengers are allowed 2 checked bags each. This was all done in the office of the South African Airways who I assume was managing the Airlink flight."
Cons: "Johannesburg Airport was terrible and every where we turned in the airport we got misinformation and people tried to scam us for tips including airport employees."
Pros: "It was good just the way it is."
Cons: "Why put cheese on the cross bun not good at all."
Pros: "Boarding was on time, and flight went smoothly. Loved the timing, giving me the whole day to explore the area and move on to the National Parks in the area. Breakfast at Uppington Airport is the best!"
Pros: "Flight was on time. Efficient crew"
Pros: "Airport check in went quickly and smoothly! Waiting lounge was excellent!"
Cons: "Nothing to report."
Pros: "Pilot effectively communicated about the fueling delay and the imminent storm."
Cons: "Refueling issue : After boarding we had to sit on the aircraft to wait for the refueling driver to arrive and fuel the aircraft. This resulted in a delay of some 20 minutes. ssue"
Pros: "We were on a small cramped plane. The food was horrible."
Cons: "Rude employees at the counter in the airport."
Cons: "We were very upset as we missed our flight to Maseru due to circumstances beyond our control. As a result we had to pay for another set of tickets and pay for s hotel room as no other fflights that day. We arrived to airport in plenty of time however there was a backup at immigration. We waited 10-15 minutes than an employee had everyone in line move to a different line. By the time he slowly walked us over our plane had already boarded. The bus was still there but we were not allowed on. Also, the representative said the boarding was delayed 3 minutes. Actually they boarded early. All along way we were assured there was no problem making flight."
Cons: "With over 1.5 hrs to check in, guards allowed others to cut in front and my son was told no problem, he would not miss his flight. He did miss his flight and couldn’t apply his ticket to another flight. Had to pay in full to buy another ticket for a flight 5.5 hrs later. Not good!!"
Pros: "Easy process to get to Joberg. Flight was on time and comfortable."
Cons: "Similar to some other reviewers we had to completely exit the terminal at JNB and then check in for our international flight sequence on Qatar, this was easy but caused a little anxiety, especially after learning that the total checked baggage for one person on the air link is 30kgs (66lbs) which is less than standard international weights. We had to pay extra for the “overweight” bags but the cost was reasonable. I would use the airline again."
Pros: "Quick cool spacious"
Cons: "They left us in a hot hot bus for a long time at terminal and on the run way."
Pros: "The plane from Antanarivo as on time - quite an accomplishment for Madagascar!"
Pros: "the seats"
Cons: "Food was cold"
Pros: "Comfortable transfer to Skukuza from Johannesburg"
Cons: "The flight was not listed on the departure monitors in the hall where we arrived. We had a hard time finding the terminal and then the check-in counters and the departure gate. If the flight would have been listed it would have been easier, no asking around required."
Cons: "Staff not so friendly"
Pros: "seats were nice"
Cons: "food was cold. no entertainment for 3-4 hour flight"
Cons: "The flights were not operated by South African Airways, so when we arrived to Johannesburg we had to take our luggage and register it again and make a second check-in. Because both flights were operated by airlines different from South African Airways we were not able to accumulate our One World miles."
Pros: "Everything was good - timely, service, check in, etc."
Pros: "The flight attendant was really friendly and accommodating. Flight was on time."
Cons: "Can add a few more options for snacks. The chips and candy are pretty crappy."
Cons: "No priority boarding. 15 minutes waiting inside a cramped bus. First three rows in plane are curtailed off but seats are exactly the same as the rest of the plane. Beverage selection was poor and again same as in economy. The lunch was the only difference: a plate of chicken instead of a sandwich. SO WHAT DID I GET FOR PAYING BUSINESS? a curtain, a plate of chicken and exclusive access to the toilet at the head of the plane. Shame on SAA for selling this as a SAA business flight. Or Kayak for wrong advertisement. In the future I will definitely not pay for business as it is absolutely not worth it and will try to fly this portion with Air Botswana"
Pros: "Left inn time and arrived a bit early only 12 14 passengers in a 36 pAX plane..."
Cons: "Small Cramped seats No power plugs...average food"
Pros: "Seats wider (or seemed to be so) than most economy flights. Flight crew courteous."
Cons: "Have lived in Madagascar for almost two decades and have never seen such disorganized boarding. No signage, staff all the same uniforms (thus no visual clues), no gate noted on boarding pass. Very frustrating. Two Airlink flights were leaving at the same time due to a delay for one flight, so better communication needed. Plane toilet disgusting and would not flush."
Pros: "Efficient on time no hassle"
Pros: "Small plane but a very short flight, so its fine."
Cons: "Cold food. SAA used to serve hot meals. What happened to that?"
Pros: "short, easy flight"
Cons: "Lost baggage. Sent to Jouburg instead. Second day at Cape Grace in dirty safari clothes. Still no bags."
Pros: "Pilot and Stewardess were good and airport was nice. I appreciated the flights from Cape Town to Skukuza and from Skukuza to Johanesberg."
Cons: "Airport crew not able to answer questions outside of their scope of responsibility. I asked a question several times and reply was "good afternoon". finally another person helped and directed me to another part of the airport where I asked the same question and received blank faces until supervisor showed up."
Pros: "It all went as expected. Today, that is excellent"
Pros: "South African Airlines is like flying years ago when you were given respect and special treatment. It's my favorite airline, by far. Actually, it's the only airline I like to fly. I've flown Delta, Lufthansa, KLM and United to South Africa - big mistake. SAA is what I wish all other airlines are. They are first rate."
Pros: "Pleasant experience. Gate personnel and crew were friendly and helpful; plane and seating were comfortable."
Cons: "No flight information signage at gate, and gate boarding public announcements were distorted. Besides being distorted, it was hard to understand the 'English' translated announcement."
Cons: "Delayed flight due to airplane malfunction and caused late arrival and could not make our connecting flight. Had to argue for support to stay in Johannesburg due to the inconvenience"
Pros: "Stewardess was very professional, spoke clearly, was very helpful. On time and affordable rates!"
Pros: "Quick check in"
Cons: "Quants needs to upgrade they are falling behind in th bussness class game quiet badly This is my third trip in 4 years from Sydney to JHB and the service, seating etc is the same Tiered plans tiered overall"
Cons: "People were not the friendly except for the stewardess"
Pros: "Efficient, pleasant experience. Coming from the US, it was unusual to have complimentary meal and alcoholic beverages on a short domestic flight."
Cons: "Boarding was a bit confusing and disorganized. I think better communication of procedures would've helped."
Pros: "Great time to arrive in Cape Town. Late Afternoon, head into Cape Town against the flow of traffic so it is an easy ride. Quick, convenient."
Cons: "It is an expensive flight"
Cons: "Seat antiquated, food was more economy than business"
Pros: "reliable, on time, clean and efficient."
Cons: "Boarding was a bit of a cluster. Partly the JNB airport design, partly the lack of order and organization."
Cons: "Improve entertainment ease!"
Pros: "Wonderful crew and flight"
Pros: "Friendly crew and punctuality"
Pros: "The stewards were so kind and helpful! One of the best flights I've taken."
Pros: "Best soft landing ever!!!! Great pilots."
Pros: "Took off on time. Seating was fair. Service prompt and courteous."
Cons: "Bus translortation should we replaced with walkways. The equipment exists but for some reason we had to use busses to get from plane to terminal."
Pros: "Crew was wonderful."
Cons: "The plane was absolutely freezing even with a winter coat and two blankets. The website would not let me and my friend choose our seats prior to getting passes so we had to keep asking people to switch on both legs of the journey. The bathrooms were disgusting. Pillows are reused."
Pros: "The check in staff"
Pros: "Good service, good food. Landed on time even though we left slightly late."
Cons: "There wasn't a TV per seat and you can't select what you want to watch, but this was not really an issue as the flight was only 2 hours."
Pros: "On time. Nice plane"
Pros: "crew, that the cabin was dark and quiet, good for sleeping."
Cons: "wish I had the budget for a roomier or more fold-down seat for sleeping."
Cons: "Airline dishonest and unhelpful"
Cons: "My luggage was broken into and stolen. They sawed off the zip on my suitcase and broke the handle. Stole a number of personal items including a belt, perfume, t-shirts and cash."
Pros: "Everything ontime"
Cons: "Late departure."
Pros: "Steward was very attentive"
Pros: "Quick flight, everything seemed to go smoothly."
Cons: "Seats were not super comfortable, food wasn't great."
Cons: "Their aircrafts are dirty"
Pros: "How helpful and wonderfully kind each person was. The service was great. I enjoyed the vegetarian options. The briyani was chicken and I was able to eat around the chicken —delicious and tasty. The crew were cheerful and a refreshing relief to the long voyage across this planet. I look forward to my ever increasing abundance so I may travel business for at least one leg of the flight each way. Thank you Virgin Atlantic."
Cons: "Nothing you could have provided other than a business class leg each way. Long, long flight across this planet—half way. I would prefer more English and Foreign movies, please. Unfortunately I left my prescription reading glasses on flight VA602 and Jacques Nortje at Heathrow was kind enough to go looking for them at the lost and found of Virgin Atlantic—to no avail. Black hard case with blue rimmed glasses and a blue cleaning cloth. His service was a godsend—enabling me to stay flight side whilst he went land side so I did not need to go through security for an unaccomplished mission as the glasses were not there."
Cons: "The aircraft could not take off due to a technical issue and we were told by the captain that we would be provided with accommodation for the night. This did not transpire and the whole plane had to sleep in the departure lounge on the seats with cold aircon and no food or drink. The staff went home and left us to survive. We were told that they would not put us on another flight. By 8 am there was a mutiny because no one was keeping us informed about what was happening. We were tired and hungry and they just did care. After a group meeting, which got very angry, we were then allocated a room in a hotel. The lack of help was unbelievable and we were made to feel like criminals. No senior management came to give apologies. No compensation was offered for our 24 hour delay."
Cons: "LUGGAGE going missing! TLVET11960 1. In Cape Town I was told that I would need to collect and check in again on arrival in Addis - that was my understanding of the instruction. 2. At Addis I was advised that the luggage was being transferred to the Tel Avid flight ET404 3. On arrival at Tel Aviv - no luggage. Advised it would arrive Thurs afternoon and be delivered to my hotel. I asked which flight it would come on and when I could expect that it would be delivered. Was told that was not possible to confirm. IN MY MIND THAT INDICATES THAT THIS IS NOT GENUINE CONFIRMATION. 4. I asked what arrangements would they make for me to get an allowance to cover costs of some clothing/toiletry items I would need to buy. Was told this is not Ethiopian Airlines policy!!!!! 5. This cannot be as there are international regulations in this regard. 6.YOU WILL PAY for express laundry service and a couple of items I'll need to buy today!!! 7. Tried calling 039754008 and only get a recorded message! THIS IS TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY"
Pros: "Plane was clean and seats were comfortable. Staff was overall friendly."
Pros: "Excellent staff"
Pros: "Loved the movie selections"
Cons: "The seats are entirely too close together, even for me and I'm only 5"3. Airlines are trying to maximize profits while sacrificing passenger comfort and that is ridiculous. Great customer service will gain more business than any other method."
Pros: "Friendliness of staff"
Pros: "Food was alright, flight was quiet"
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and staff was friendly. Lunch was served, which was good."
Cons: "lost luggage"
Cons: "We ended up at a gate in the International terminal at Tambo (Jo'burg). the plane was a big Airbus. We deplaned EVERYONE thru one little door, descended stairs to the tarmac and had to ride buses back to the domestic terminal. It took forever and I ended up missing my connection. I fail to understand why they didn't dock this domestic flight into the DOMESTIC terminal, and use a regular getway to deplane everyone."
Pros: "No delays (although last minute gate change was a bit annoying)"
Cons: "Meal options ran out quickly even though I was somewhat seated towards the front. They should keep a record of popularity of food options and stock accordingly, in order to prevent running out so quickly."
Pros: "Priority boarding went reasonably well. We left almost on time,"
Cons: "The layout of the business class section was very basic, as was the quality of food served."
Cons: "Technology sucked. TV screens were old and none of the headphone jacks worked."
Cons: "Most airlines on the planet allow headphones during take-off and landing but you guys don't. Chill out and get with the 21st century."
Pros: "I got help with the boarding pass and once on the plane was very impressed with the comfort of the interior and cleanliness of the plane. I would definitely fly with that airline again."
Pros: "Voyager programme Efficient and friendly crew On return flight they checked passengers hand luggage and stopped the overweight and excessive bags - brilliant as makes flight comfortable for all"
Cons: "Both flights delayed Return flight was an old plane needing some TLC Voyager customer care sucks - they really need a mobile app On return flight they helped themselves to snack in the front pouch of my checked in bag"
Cons: "Crew pathetic and completely absent and unhelpful."
Pros: "This was a quick flight and similar to domestic flights in the US."
Pros: "The provide a snack and drinks on a two hour flight--that's worth something."
Cons: "I wouldn't bother with a sandwich for everyone--especially during non meal times. Why not offer chips or something lighter rather than wasting all the sandwiches people half eat."
Pros: "The gave us lots of water"
Cons: "Old plain, lost my one mine bags, missing items"
Cons: "Quite delayed, my luggage didn't make the connection due this and all my christmas presents are now in South Africa and since I'm flying to a 4th country with another airline I won't be able to pick it up from NYC. A mess."
Pros: ".Ability of the pilot and in flight communication to passengers during thunderstorm - Excellent"
Cons: "Quality of the in flight meal-poor. Communication to passengers about storm and delays prior to bith flights"
Pros: "I liked the fact that this flight was short. I slept for the almost 2 hours."
Cons: "They could keep the food they serve on this short flight. I would do better with a bag of pretzels than the sorry sandwich they offered."
Pros: "The pilots and crew did well."
Cons: "On both 16 hour flights close to half of the entertainment screens didn't work at all. The vegetarian sandwich out of NY was slices of bell pepper between two slices of bread. But you can have a gin and tonic. In Cape Town the 90 minutes before the flight was spent standing in line to be frisked and have your bags rummaged through. After that everyone just piled on board in no order. The elites were able to skip through and avoid dealing with the riff raff."
Pros: "Price and time schedule"
Cons: "Our flight time moved up one hour and no one notified me. If I wasn't at the airport early I would have missed my flight and my connection"
Cons: "Incident report: August 15, 2016, SA210, When we stopped at Accra, Ghana, Kotoka International ACC for re-fuel and cleaning the aircraft --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- South African Airline violates two accounts stated on the bottle: 1. When it says “dis-infection of Aircraft” means Passengers are not Aircraft. Passengers should not be sprayed on. Passengers should not be in the airplane when this is sprayed. 2. Use for Pre-embarkation means no human in the aircraft. We were inside of the aircraft. It sprayed on our body all over and everywhere. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Major health damages: 3. After the spray, several passengers (our travel group) had severe sneezing attacks and running nose and sinusitis. One lady sneezed at least 50 times non-stop initially and continued to sneeze for the rest of the trip in the plane. Her sinus was swollen and painful for the rest of trip to Johannesburg. You are lucky she did not make a big deal and suffered silently. You may argue that WHO approved it. On the bottle, WHO approve for the use of Aircraft, not human in the aircraft. On August 15, 2016, I witnessed many passengers’ immune system were damaged – some reacted violently. 4. Please do not wait until someone has asthma attack and die in your aircraft due to allergy to the spray. 5. As a physician I prescribe Permethrin for Scabies treatment. Patients were told to use it on the skin for 8-10 hours and then wash off complete right away due to potential neurotoxicity, especially for young children. 6. My medical specialty is Integrative Medicine and Preventive Medicine. I feel I am obligated to bring this up to Department of Health of South Africa in order to prevent passengers being harmed, especially those who suffer from chemical / environmental allergies, rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, COPD, skin disease, migraine, etc… just to name a few. 7. Suggestion and Solution: Passengers should all be off the plane, and escort to an area while aircraft is being re-fueled, cleaned and sprayed insides. This will make the cleaning crews more efficient for their cleaning work and less allergenic reactions, potential fatal, to passengers who suffer dust and / or insecticide spray allergies. This will reduce health hazard to passengers and workers. Thank you for being conscious about environmental safety issues. PS: One crew member, Imraan, is very conscientious. He came and showed his concern about symptoms one lady had from spray. He made SA airlines look better. One crew member was rude because he reluctant to give me one bottle of water for my husband who was sleeping at the time of the drink service. ."
