They charged me nearly $800 for a nearly invisible chip on the windshield that I am pretty sure was already there. Hertz refused to release documentation from prior rentals to confirm.

My experience with Hertz on Toronto International airport was excellent in general. First car they offered me was a bit smaller for my family and on my request they changed it to a different car. The staff was efficient and polite to work with.

The tire pressure was not properly maintained, and the warning light kept turning on. I had a concern that needed to be addressed while driving, so I attempted to contact customer service, but was unable to get through.
Everything from the pick up and drop off was flawless, the vehichle it self was new and so comfortable. I'm extremely pleased with the experience

When I booked I ordered an all wheel drive, the rental collection desk tried to change to a rear wheel drive, but the big issue was they changed my drop off time from 6pm to 5pm even though I never asked them to, I dropped the car off at 5:10pm, only to be billed an extra $50.

Rented an EIGHT seater for 2 families. Showed up and was told they don’t have any EIGHT seaters, only 7. Ended up renting 2 vehicles with another company paying triple because I couldn’t plan accordingly.

The car was excellent, however it's controls were quite different from the car I'm used to. It would have been nice to have had someone explain the operation of the car to me.

Great experience. I had a moment of frustration due to my credit card being expired but the agent was very patient even though I was clearly angry, and he didnt take it personal. Overall great experience
Kayak advertised a 5 series bmw electric . I drove over 100 km to the airport location for this specific vehicle . When I arrived thrifty informed me that they do not carry the bmw 5 and that kayak wrongly advertised that car.

The staff were friendly enough and did their jobs. I had a one way rental (pick up and drop off at different airports) and the car they gave me had out of date tags, snow tires in July that made a lot of road noise and a potential wheel bearing issue that made the car vibrate on the highway.
I booked with the unlimited mileage. But the moment to pick up the car. The employee office change the contract to limit mileage and don’t tell me about it. No explanation, no full information.

In their online listing the agency claimed to be in the terminal at Toronto airport but in fact we had to find our way with poor signage to an airport train that took us to a shuttle pickup which in turn took us to the offsite agency location. The second problem arose at checkin when we were surprised to learn there was a $17 per day fee for a spouse to be a second driver. Both the off-site location and the second driver fee should have had prominent mention in the Expedia listing.
I wish to report extremely arrogant, unprofessional and unacceptable behavior from the rental car company manager. They have charged my card without any authorization or reason and are now not responding to calls and emails. Further, they tried to create and inflate minor issues to wrongfully charge this to my account. They tried to force me to sign the paperwork where I am made to accept the “new damage” without allowing me to take a copy for my records nor allowing me to add my notes and signature. Upon making it clear that I will not sign any blanket statements with misrepresentations, they became aggressive and asked me to leave the office without the proper documentation or explanation. Further, I was denied the shuttle to the airport that had been advertised by them at the time of booking. This has been a very unpleasant experience and I want my money back. Please refund the full booking amount along with additional compensation for harassment to my credit card.

We requested a vehicle that would accommodate 8 people. Surprice assured us the vehicle we rented would accommodate 8 people - it did not, only 7 people. Our rental agreement stated 4000km free and then 0.18$ thereafter. The car rental company said only 1400km were free and we needed to read “the fine print”. The windshield was covered with ice and snow. There was snow on the roof and hood of the vehicle causing it to blow off on the 401. The vehicle only had half a tank of gas. The windshield washer fluid container was empty. The car did not have a snow brush to clean the ice and snow off. This was incredibly dangerous as we rented the vehicle for a week in Toronto during Christmas. We had to purchase both windshield washer fluid and a snow brush. The car rental staff were rude and just shrugged their shoulders when we questioned the kilometre issue. They said they had no staff to clean the snow and ice of the vehicle despite 4 people sitting behind the counter watching a hockey game. Never. Ever. Again.

They did not honor the details of my reservation. In spite of my reservation clearly stating a limit of 4K KM, they charged me per km after 200km. When challenged, they gave no reason. Furthermore, be warned: it took over an hour to walk quickly through the airport, take a train, then take a shuttle to the car rental counter. It would have been even longer if I had to pick up bags.

Was a good car, they didn't clean it before giving it to me, and when I went to return it the found "new damage" on the car, which wasn't obtained during my rental time, and now charged me 1500 to fix it. Wouldn't rent from there again.
