Family run hotel. Spacious rooms. Clean. Friendly owners and staff. Modest but sufficient breakfast (not included in the price of the room). This hotel could be recommended to the travellers who are exploring the neighbouring regions of Switzerland, France and Germany with a car. Relatively easy access to Basel: there is a train once every hour and bus – twice every hour (though only until 20:00). Train station and bus stops (there are two) are very close to the hotel. Freiburg (Germany), Colmar (France), Rhein waterfalls (Switzerland) are at the distance of one hour driving time from the hotel. Excellent supermarket “REWE”, which is in the next building, is open until 22:00 on Monday-Saturday. There is quite popular among the local population Greek restaurant in the hotel “Axion”, which at 5 minutes walking distance.
Dim lighting in rooms Very low WiFi signal. At least in the room 38 at the second floor. If you stay in the rooms which are facing south and keep the windows open at night it may be quite noisy because of the industrial ventilator which belong to the supermarket in the next building.

The breakfast was very good. We most enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Basel is extremely easy to reach by public transportation. You can just leave the car on the premises and take the bus or train.

Friendly welcome and help with tourism ideas for Basel. Several restaurants within walking distance. Excellent breakfast. Good English spoken (always easier!).
