Excellent friendly staff.
The furniture in our room needs to be replaced. It was well worn.
The service provided by all employess, specially the ones in the recepction allways with a smile and available to help.
After a horrible night in an AirBnB, we found this hotel at the last minute. It was the best decision of the trip! The staff was incredible friendly and helpful at every turn. The buffet breakfast was great! You’re within walking distance to the Metro though we didn’t love the Chinatown station at night. We couldn’t have been happier!
The room and location, breakfast.
I did not like that a male member of staff named Francis was rather condescending when we were booking into your hotel for 3 nights. He said he did not have our booking. He wanted us to contact booking.com about our reservation even though I had all the details in my email but he said they had not contacted your hotel with our reservation. After some time he 'found' our booking. When I was purchasing some candy from your shop behind reception he said ' you know that's $2?' which I did know and subsequently paid for with cash. I asked him for some water for our room and he said that water was just for Hunters guests but that he would give us a bottle each ' this time!!' but that he would be charging us $2 each after this'. Also he put a security charge of $60 per night on our room which he said is the policy, when I asked him why, although we were not informed of this when we booked some time ago and I checked the policy and there was nothing about that charge . I feel that for some reason your staff member Francis treated us differently to your other guests. We stayed in your sister hotel in Niagara Falls last week and everything about it and the staff were superb. My husband and I are offended by his treatment of us which upset us at the start of our sightseeing trip in DC. When we vacated our room yesterday morning Monday the 30th September 2019, at 11.50am there was a lady member of staff waiting outside our room and asked were we checking out?. We said we were and she then let herself into the room we had just vacated.????????? We stayed in the USA for 16 nights and had a great time everywhere we stayed, apart from at your hotel where we did not want to be after this discriminate treatment of us. We have returned to Ireland and are glad to be home and will never return or recommend your hotel to anyone. Regards Mr and Mrs Michael and Brenda Corrigan
