Pros (+) The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The room was clean and the shower was fine.
Cons (-) The decor is bland. The checkin is a fully manual process. I thought I could walk 20 mins from Warrington Bank Quay station. 15 mins into my walk I was directed by Google Maps onto an unlit footpath alongside the Mersey, through a pitch black tunnel under a disused railway bridge.
