Pros: Nicely located hotel with a sea view. Nice rooms.
Cons: The breakfast room is somehow odd, but also with a nice sea view. The access to the sea is very limited and you need to drive to get to a sand beach.
Cons: Breakfast. Fairly basic. Scrambled egg provided, fried eggs are an additional €5.
Pros: Staff really nice, hotel near to the beach, spa no so expensive
Pros: The bed was good minibar I like it
Cons: Toothpaste were not found no slippers and just coffee without milk
Pros: The food in the restaurant was a bit pricey, but really good. The room exceeded our expectations, had a beautiful view to the sea, really comfortable beds and was generally clean. Would definitely come back.
Pros: Sheraton standard for Sheraton prices. Great view. Good breakfast and massage
Cons: Really ancient hairdrier, had to clean it from old dust. Tiny SPA-area. Food in restaurant is overpriced
Pros: staff kind and with a smile locazione is great and the views are incredible facility is easy to find and very simple to view
Pros: Clean, nice customer service, quiet location but a bit far away from any local shops and activities. Shuttle bus to Catania centre only for €2 per person for round trip :)
Cons: That was shame that this hotel doesn't have any interior pool as external swimming pool is open from April
The NH Catania Parco Degli Aragonesi hotel is located in La Playa on Sicily’s East Coast. There are 124 rooms at NH Catania Parco Degli Aragonesi. With their neutral color scheme and hardwood floors, the rooms are cozy spaces in which to relax. Guests can enjoy the glorious Sicilian weather on their private balcony. Each morning, the hotel serves up a huge breakfast which includes a variety of foods and beverages. We can host your events with space for up to 280 guests in our 5 meeting rooms.
Pros: Great hardware look Lo
Cons: Staff is a little retarded
Pros: Overall nice hotel and helpful staff
Pros: Outstanding breakfast and food.
Cons: Unable to control the temperature of my room. What's the point of having A/C controls in the room if they do not work and are controlled by reception? Totally unacceptable for a supposed 4 star hotel.
I must have called reception about 5-7 times because my room was too warm. I kept getting told that the temperature for my room specifically was lowered which is untrue. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport, I was hoping for a good night's sleep and didn't get it. Extremely annoyed.

We also offer services such as complimentary shoe shine. For business, there are 7 meeting rooms that accommodate up to 140 people.
Pros: All was great. More English tv would be great.
Cons: Could not get air conditioning on. Room was a bit too warm.
Pros: Service the best , location very nice. Staff very friendly
Pros: All was perfect. Great location, breakfast, staffs . Thank you for all, sure I’m gonna back
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Quiet too.
Cons: Bathroom was a bit unclean. Only cold food for breakfast
Pros: Check in staff were friendly and chatty and very good at giving information about the local area.
Cons: The area is not what I had imagined, but its not the hotel's fault!
With a stay at Plaza Hotel Catania, you'll be centrally located in Catania, within a 5-minute drive of Massimo Bellini Theater and Palazzo Biscari. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Beds super comfy and amaeing huge shower. Nuxe toiletries. True that this hotel is not central but there is a lovely seaside promenade and great views.
Cons: Nothing - was a shame the roof terrace was shut! Very steep to get to the carpark.
Pros: Stayed in this hotel several times and the overall good standard is pretty consistent. It has a good lock-up garage and a very good breakfast and there is a very good restaurant just next to the hotel.
Cons: This time round the shower was not working well and kept changing from very hot to very cold and this made showering quite annoying. Breakfast is still being served in the basement; refurbishment of the breakfast room on the roof is taking too long (same situation prevailed when we were there on New Year's Day)
Pros: Location view of sea
Cons: Building work being done so no roof top terrace access which is why I booked it!! We should have been told this prior to our visit. First day no hot or cold water. Not told in advance. Loud banging or hammering right next to us in the morning ☹️
Pros: The bed was firm, but surprisingly comfortable. About the eggs that everyone talks about - if you have breakfast around 7, the eggs will be runny. Around 8, it's slightly runny and around 9, the eggs are no longer runny. Other than that, we loved the fresh orange juice, the water pressure in the shower was great and our room was spacious.
Cons: During our stay, the hotel was undergoing renovations and it was noisy. There were times electricity was shut off (although they called us to let us know). The walls are also very thin, so you can hear everything. I'm sure the hotel operates better in the summer time.
Pros: In my view the price/quality ratio for this hotel is very good. For someone with a car this is a very good place to stay in in Catania. It is right on the coast with nice sea views and the hotel has a good underground garage. There is also on-street parking across the road. We note improvements every time we stay in this hotel; to the rooms and the common areas. The memory foam mattress was really really nice. The buffet breakfast is also really good and plentiful. There is an excellent restaurant right next door to the hotel.
Cons: Pity breakfast had to be served in a (nice) hall in the basement because the usually very nice rooftop breakfast room is undergoing refurbishment we were told.
A stay at Katane Palace Hotel places you in the heart of Catania, within a 15-minute walk of Massimo Bellini Theater and Via Etnea. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast especially orange juice and free baverages in minibar.
Pros: - close to the train station - central position - clean
Cons: -the wall of the room was terrible - the receptionist was not kind
Pros: Location Cooperation of the staff Breakfast
Cons: Everything was ok
Pros: By far the best breakfast we had in Sicily. Fresh fruit, freshly baked cakes and pastries, proper coffee. The staff were particularly helpful, from helping us drive into the minuscule gateway to the underground car park, and how to get out of Catania when we left (not straight forward).
Cons: Light came under the door of the bedroom which I was able to keep out by using a rolled up towel. Perhaps the lights could be dimmed at night.
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Hotel premises and facilities are outstanding.
Cons: Only not so positive aspect was distance of hotel to places of interest, and difficult parking.
Pros: We liked the handyman, he was always smiling and nice to us.
Pros: - Location, close to everything (stay on the main streets during the night, not sure if unsafe but in some streets there were a lot of homeless people and beggars). - Parking, just drop you key at the reception and they will park your car in the hotel’s garage (€10 per night). - Friendly staff - Mini bar is free of charge (soft drinks+water) - Hotel building has a nice ambiance - Spacious room
Cons: - The room looked clean, but with a closer look the minibar was dirty inside. And on the last day we found a cockroach in the bathroom.... - I would rate it as a 2 or 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star hotel....everything is just a bit outdated and there aren’t any facilities you would normally expect in a 4 star hotel. But overall we had a wonderful time in Catania!
Pros: Breakfast was very good. The staff were very obliging and kind to us when we arrived very late due to a delayed flight. They directed us to park our hire car and took good care of watching it.
Cons: Nothing to complain about
Pros: Stayed here second time. Not so thrilled the second time, but when in Catania and want a decent hotel, I think if you like to walk to the center, this seems like a good choice. Decent size room, quite clean, good breakfast.
Cons: The room I've got the second time was not so good, it was facing the street thus noisy and there was a disturbing smell coming from the AC vents, which at night was pretty hard to endure. Also, we've got only one set of towels even if we were 2 in the room, This is not acceptable from my point of view for a 4 star hotel.Even more, the days that followed the situation continued, still a single towel for 2 persons.
With a stay at Romano Palace Luxury Hotel in Catania (Contrada Pantano d'Arci), you'll be a 1-minute drive from Catania Beach and 8 minutes from Ursino Castle. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: The room was perfect amount of space. Breakfast room service was fast! The bathtub was amazing!
Cons: I was on the ground floor so my "balcony" wasn't impressive. The breakfast was just okay.
Pros: The grounds
Cons: The jacuzzi in my suite didn’t work. The coffee machine didn’t work. When reported to the hotel they apologized and that was the end of it
Pros: Staff at reception, room with balcony, beach facilities, breakfast,
Cons: Could really do with children's pool, lots of kids splashing and screaming in pool takes away fifth star
Pros: The room was beautiful and so comfortable! I just wish I knew how to work the A/C, because it was a little warm. staff was great, everything was so clean.
Cons: just that I wish I known how to make the room cooler, like how to work the A/C
Pros: The place was clean and the staff very friendly.
Cons: The lighting was too bright in the restaurant and the pillows on the beds needed refreshing with new ones
Located in Piazza Verga, in the heart of Catania, the prestigious Mercure Catania Excelsior is ideal for both leisure and business travelers. Built in 1953 and newly renovated in 2001, it has 176 rooms, including 12 Grand Suites. Its conference room, banquet room, 7 meeting rooms, restaurant with garden, American Bar and Fitness center make it the ideal solution for business and international meetings.
Pros: Location, room space
Cons: Some small renovation works should be carried on in the rooms to bring the hotel to the next level (I.e. painting)
Cons: the hotel is almost run down. It desperately needs to be renovated
Pros: The hotel is in a good location and our room was big, if a bit dated, with a fabulous view of Mount Etna. The levels of cleanliness were high, all the staff were friendly, the breakfasts offered a plentiful choice and the bar area was comfortable and welcoming. We were presented with tasty little canapés with our drinks and the two dinners we ate there were cooked perfectly.
Cons: The hotel is in need of some refurbishment. The dinner menu offered the same choices each evening.
Pros: Spacious room, bathroom comfortable, breakfast good, all staff very helpful. Great Location and car parking and guest pick up access was very convenient. The overall hotel building was quite grand however, generally needs restoration throughout.
Cons: Carpet and furniture throughout was very dated and threadbare. Elevators not safe, due to door closure not sensitive to obstruction either by a person or object. Room/Door was squeaky, Light fittings were loose and coming away from the walls. Again, the building is quite grand and is in dire need of updating to it's former glory.
Pros: Staff at reception, bar, dining room extremely friendly n helpful. In my last night, standing outside the hotel I was bothered by a drunk, and the receptionist immediately came to help.very appreciated
A prestigious building dating back to the early 1900s, in the artistic and commercial heart of Catania, was already an historical luxury hotel. The restoration project has been carried out in the view of maintaining the Sicilian style and traditional cultural heritage. The hotel provides 94 rooms and 9 meeting rooms, fitness center, Turkish bath, indoor parking, elegant banquet room, roof garden, panoramic terrace with restaurant and American bar.
Pros: BREAKFAST EXCELLENT AND LOCATION ALSO EXCELLENT
Cons: - A bit on the expensive side but all worth it
Pros: Perfect location at the heart of Catania. Next to best coffees, restaurants, shopping areas with a good restaurant at the roof.
Cons: The bed was so hard, it's like sleeping on a stone. The room was hot (not well air-conditioned). TV was not mounted on the wall, it was located on the console and occupied a lot of space. The bathroom hygienne could have been better.
Pros: Great location. Very beautiful breakfast, both in 1F buffet and 7F roof.
Pros: The UNA hotel is very very well located. Catania is one of those cities where you can easily end up on the wrong side of the town. Before booking I have done my research about the recommended neighborhoods for travelers. I am glad I was not disappointed with my choice. The facility is super clean, modern yet authentic, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the views from the terrace are breathtaking... This hotel is the real deal!
Pros: The breakfast was very nice. The view from the roof top terrace is excellent. The location is excellent.
Cons: Regulating the room temperature was an issue.
Pros: Beautiful building but decor is tired looking
Cons: Property will look absolutely amazing if painted and decorated
With a stay at Hotel Villa del Bosco, you'll be centrally located in Catania, a 5-minute drive from Via Etnea and 9 minutes from Angelo Massimino Stadium. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Spacious room, nice interior.
Cons: I do not think that staff was helpful to us. The hotel is outside city, you can get to city by bus but there was no information that the bus comes every hour if it arrives. There is no place around hotel to buy bus ticket and the driver do not sell tickets on the bus. I hardly got any information from the reception. I will never be back to this hotel.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent with wide variety of food from sweet to savory, and espresso drinks available. Only minus was that the scrambled eggs were too salty.
Pros: I booked this Hotel Villa del Bosco - Catania and then was not able to travel . However, my companions who were able to continue on the trip; this is their review: " We enjoyed our time at this hotel. Being out of the city centre made it nice and quiet. Shops are close by , however no really suitable places to have dinner. The hotel's restaurant is very good. Taxis are readily available (15-20) Euros into the city. Receptionist was very helpful and provided information on tours etc. The breakfast has a wide variety of choices. This hotel has great views out to the bay.
Pros: Breakfast was great. The food and the view.
Pros: The breakfast buffet is standard, not surprising or disappointing. Location is outside the center, but the arrival to the center is not a big problem. The hotel has an atmosphere.
Cons: The street in front of the hotel is quite noisy, sleeping with an open window makes it difficult.
Pros: Guseppi was fabulous! Gave the place a warm and welcoming feel. Always had a smile and went out of his way to be helpful. Local shops were delightful
Cons: Airconditioner was very loud and housekeeping did not refresh paper products.
With a stay at Hotel Nettuno, you'll be centrally located in Catania, within a 10-minute drive of Massimo Bellini Theater and Palazzo Biscari. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Catania? This hotel has facilities measuring 3767 square feet (350 square meters), including a conference center. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The view from our balcony was fantastic, breakfast was superb, dinner service was beyond our expectations for friendly and courteous service. The maître d' at dinner was understanding and thoughtful. I couldn't have asked for better service.
Cons: I don't think anything could have been better. There was nothing negative in either the room or the service and the location was perfectly situated for our needs.
Pros: Very good hotel parking and staff is very helpful
Cons: Breakfast was very basic, and the coffee in the breakfast was made with a self service machine, and it was not so good.
Pros: The hygiene and standard of cleanliness.
Cons: No kettle in the room and basic plastic table on the balcony.Nothing special.
Pros: Staff very professional and ready for any request. Great views, very good breakfast, free private parking, no car noises, comfortable bed. Center very close by, would repeat!
Cons: The air conditioning was very noisy, i couldnt keep it turned on for the night because of the noise. Not many connections with public transport, but by car is ideal.
Pros: The staff are really patient and helpful, and breakfast are in high quality.
Pros: Sea view was excellent. The bed was great. Room service and breakfast were really good. Staff were great. Free parking was a great bonus, as was the location north of Catania centre which made it easier to get to Etna and Taormina. The whole place was friendly, respectful and practical. There were also some good eating options around in Ognina.
Cons: We have reached that time in life where a kettle and tea/coffee in the room is a ‘must’. Nettuno did not provide this, preferring room service. Lunar park next door to the hotel gets cleaned up on Monday mornings which was unavoidably noisy. The pool and private beech wasn’t open til later in the year.
Pros: The view was nice from the terrace. Nice bar and yard.
Cons: The breakfast has ended earlier than it was told. There were only plastic cups at the juice and water. There were no chairs on the terrace, it would have been more comfortable.
With a stay at Villaggio Turistico Internazionale La Plaja in Catania (Contrada Pantano d'Arci), you'll be a 1-minute drive from Catania Beach and 9 minutes from Ursino Castle. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Turned up quite late - treated politely. Very nice breakfast, espresso coffee on request. Bed comfortable, clean sheets, clean floor, shower worked. Close to nice beach. Convenient for airport.
Cons: It was as expected but there was only one towel.
Cons: Near airport runway and flight paths. Very noisy. Very bad public transport from there. It was on the beach, but you would have to pay for towels and beach chairs anyway.
Pros: The man working at the reception is a very helpful and sympathic, he made us feel at home there.
Cons: Price and cigarettes smell in the room
Pros: The beach
Cons: The noise, the fact that the staff was not friendly
With a stay at Il Principe Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Catania, steps from Via Etnea and 3 minutes by foot from Greek-Roman Theatre. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: The location of the hotel is very nice. They also provide a parking service. The girl at the reception was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The toilet was not clean... it had a lot of brown spots. There were a lot of screws in the locker. The rooms don't look like a 4 star hotel. Internet was slow.
Pros: Nice Place
Cons: Broken lights, broken mini bar, broken sink. Room was run down, staff sullen and unfriendly. No help with broken facilities. A three night stay not long enough for them to get anything done. Staff at breakfast looked suicidal. Not a great experience all round. Only good thing is the location, close to everything in catania.
Pros: Location and space in the room
Pros: Great location, very friendly staff and good breakkfast.
Cons: Our room was 124 an on Monday morning they had a delivery at 6 - 7 am which was very noisy and woke us up. Our friends in the other parts of the hotel did not hear this.
Pros: The breakfast provided only the classic international choice. Appreciable in all the world but not in Sicily. Complete absence of typical product.
Cons: The room was little and noisy and the window was tough to close and to open
Pros: Location was really good, very central and many restaurants close by. Parking is also available on the street and only a fraction of the cost of the hotel parking.
Cons: Breakfast was very bad - not at all as expected. Especially the coffee is terribly (I believe on purpose, so that you order from the bar). The rooms are kind of dated and there was no way to boil water for coffee/tea on the rooms themselves. Also the water temperature during shower fluctuates heavily every 5-10 seconds (from freezing to boiling).
Pros: Location is perfect. Staff very friendly & room was well appointed and clean. Great value.
Pros: Male front staff service was welcoming and more...
Pros: Professional, discreet and what any experienced traveller requires, Bravo!
Cons: Personal, hotel tour guide, facilitator for ones movements around Catania: local consultant...social, cultural and business.
Pros: The staff was very skilled and able to improvise regarding parking and more. breakfirst fine too.
Pros: Beautifully situated in the centre of Cantania with very high standard of rooms
Pros: Very friendly staff, helpful and competent. Breakfast rich and good. Position of hotel is good and room was quiet. I am looking forward to spend my time once more in this hotel.
Pros: Excellent location, Luigi on the reception desk was exceptionally helpful and even arranged to send on the clothes I'd left to our next hotel in Taormina! We were offered a choice of room and selected a small but well equipped and comfortable room with delightful french windows and balcony. We were on the side of the hotel and this turned out to be quiet. I'd advise you to avoid the front of the hotel at the weekend unless you are going to be out yourself partying late (it's a bit of a gathering place late on in the evening).
Cons: The breakfast service was not replenished - we went there half an hour before it closed and it was pretty sparse to say the least, but the coffee and croissants were excellent. It's probably best to get their early. Our bathroom was a little on the snug side which may be a problem for some, but then we did have a choice of larger rooms had we wanted them.
Pros: Central location, friendly staff, great room.
Pros: Very friendly staff. Room excellent. Breakfast not too impressive - but italians don't do breakfast like brits.. Location fine for catania sightseeing etc.
Cons: No. It was good and we would stay again. Really liked the place.
Pros: Good central location with highly efficient and professional staff.
Cons: A few problems re noise from nearby bars on the Saturday night!
With a stay at Da Gianni e Lucia Rooms in Catania (Catania City Centre), you'll be steps from Via Etnea and 7 minutes by foot from Catania Cathedral. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful, great localization, very clean check-in instructions.
Pros: It is very central and close to all amenities
Cons: No lift
Pros: The room was clean and lovely location.
Cons: Front desk was at the Hotel next door.
Pros: The location is central and the view is very beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. For parking we were redirected to a nearby safe location. I recommend parking because I had no problems although I forgot the bag in the car. Parking was paid.
Cons: Heating based on air conditioning. Bedside tables would have been necessary.
With a stay at Romano House, you'll be centrally located in Catania, within a 5-minute walk of Massimo Bellini Theater and Via Etnea. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel looks very new, nice lobby and remodeled rooms and bathrooms. The room was very small, the location was great, as long as you walk left when you get out of the hotel (if you go right you'll find lots of hookers, waiting, sitting on plastic chairs, i'm not joking). Great restaurants within 1 block, friendly staff.
Pros: Great counter people. Nice adequate breakfast with a variety of offerings.
Pros: Central locatet in the city Very helpfoul service from the concierge and antonio Exelent Breakfeast We wish you good look in that special time Regards Marcel
Cons: terrible location !after dark street was filled with drugs and prostitutes Rooms small I had Coffee machine missing in the room 2 small water bottles fly in minifridge
Pros: Excellent location and value for money.
Pros: This hotel is gorgeous, so clean and so new right in the centre of Catania. The service was fantastic. When unneeded some medical attention the staff acted fast and immediate. I would totally recommend you stay here
Pros: Friendly staff and excellent location
Cons: Dark was the room, no lights enough!
Pros: The staff are courteous. Antonio in the lounge is the best bartender in Catania!

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful (they even printed our boarding basses). There is a nice private parking.
Cons: We only stayed one night and left early in the next morning. We got our breakfast at 6:30 am (it officially opens at 7:00 am), but the offer was really poor and limited (we were smelling the delicious croissants being baked at the kitchen, but they never reached us :( - we were too early). Also, beds and furniture are really old (as in the photos) and there was some cigarette smell all over the place (especially in the bathroom, which was so-so - clean, but old).
Pros: We have been in this Hotel several times, its very familiar, very clean and very friendly staff. recommend it to all, family or not. free parking available, good b/fast and not far from centre of Catania.
Pros: Breakfast is good and Parking is perfect. Staff is very friendly and polite.
Cons: mattresse could be better
Pros: Good accommodation
Cons: The air-conditioning didn't work.
Pros: The staff are extra friendly and helpful. The parking is super beneficial!
Cons: very old facilities. The bathroom was extra old and not comfortable to take a shower due to the cubicle
Pros: Every time i go to villa mater hotel it is very helpful, cleanliness and good value for money.
Pros: very clean and convinient and friendly staff
Cons: The area didn't feel safe at night
Pros: Spacious room, amazing breakfast, location is in the centre but not noise. Host is friendly and informativ.
Pros: The flat is very cool, well designed, centrally located. Cristian is very nice and helpful. Would definitely come back!
Pros: Cristian's be able to break the glass and make us in "confiance". He have taked the time to make our check-in. He give us too lots of details and good tips to enjoy at bests our stay. A very good host
Pros: Cristian (admin) very friendly and always help you and give all the information about staying in Catania. Very quite place, feeling likehime.Breakfast is tasty and full.Bath isnt in the eoom ,but closeto and private for every room. Despite the hotel is in black district ,its almost is in the centre and safe, close to the underground and local sightseeings.
Pros: Big room, Comfy bed, friendly host and nice breakfast
Cons: The street where it is at was not the best.
Pros: The room was very big, as well as toillete wich had everything we need and more! The location is very good, near from station and main services (coffes, restaurants, markets). Actually there is a minimarket right by side.
Cons: The building has not elevator, and the apartment is on the last floor. So we have a lot of steps to up with our luggage, but if you like to do some exercice is not a problem to you :)
Pros: It was within walking distance of the catania centre. Charming home. Nicely decorated with lovely old art deco tiles! Very helpful host who even put down notes on a map and helped us with busses. Good & light breakfast. A small market right next door selling inexpensive items.
Cons: It was in a bit of a dodgy street. Late at night the area around b&b is littered with prostitutes and pimps or dealers(?). Made us feel uneasy, especially after getting called & approached twice.
Pros: Nice, cosy interior, romantic position of a room (we got room no.4, in the attic), all needed things was there, lovely breakfast.
Cons: The place was cold, but it is normal as in Sicily they do not have wall heaters, because usually temperatures are high, except for our short stay the weather was horrible, so the room was cold. But the landlord provided us a bit of preheated coal bricks to the furnace in a room, also had thick blankets, so sleeping was warm.
The Best Western Hotel Mediterraneo in Catania is located close to the city centre and it is ideally positioned to reach the harbor, the rail station and the airport. Sixty three comfortable rooms equipped with satellite television, pay television, Free Internet Wi-Fi connection, mini bar, safe for PC and hairdryer. Bar, meeting rooms and private car parking. Modern and comfortable, it is known for the warm atmosphere that welcomes the guests and for the kind professionalism of the staff. Enjoy your stay.
Pros: The rooms very comfortable and clean. The hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the center. Staff helpful. Superb breakfast. Great selection. Hotel easy to find. Good restaurants in area. Will return for sure.
Cons: replenish of tea, coffee and milk was never replenished. Would have been great to have after coming in from a cold day. A small table for the balcony is needed.
Pros: The really helpful staff. we had booked parking for our Porsche but the steep angle of the entrance mae it impossable to get it in. So the Manager and the Concierge went out and sorted some planks of wood so we could get the car in. This also involved stopping the traffic so we could slowly reverse the car in over the planks and through the narrow entrance into the garage. In the evening the guy on reception pointed into the direction of an amazing local restaurant that was packed with locals and was amazing value for money. All the meat was freshly barbecued and included the local specialaties including spring onions wrapped in bacon and horse steaks and sausages. The wine was excellent and really cheap as well. The 3 euro breakfast at the hotel is definately worth having.
Cons: The problem of getting the car in the parking garage. Not really suitable if you have a wide car with a low ride height.
Pros: all cery good
Pros: Friendly, professional, knowledgeable staff
Cons: Location not great. Difficult to find
Pros: Location is close to the main street. Safe parking is available in garage very close to the hotel (opposite building). Fitness facilities are modern and quite well equipped. Staff is very friendly and was ready to help any time. Breakfast was very good as described. Can definitely recommend this place to stay for longer period as well.
Pros: Very helpful staff, both at reception and breakfast. Clean room, comfy bed, reliable and fast wifi connection (APs on each floor provide very good signal). Very good breakfast with a lot of choice and good coffee. One can choose eggs, cold cuts or a typical sweet Italian breakfast. Local food and fruits available too. Fresh orange juice. Location of the hotel is about one km west of Via Etnea. There are two supermarkets within few minutes waking distance, several restaurants within 10 minutes walk.
Cons: Scrambled eggs could be warmer. I was given a quiet room #510 (as for Italian standard), however, if it is windy, the entire balcony door vibrates causing noise that wakes you up in the night.
Pros: Good location, friendly staff and breakfast great value.
Cons: Tv controls hard to understand- a simple set of instructions would help.
Pros: All staff nice Room nice Breakfast okay
Cons: No restaurant No pool No bar Noisy outside cars and street noises

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: It was advertised they had a bar you could not get a drink . Bar closed all the time . Staff very. Rude. Would not recommend to anyone
Pros: Very clean. Nice size room. Very helpful staff.
Cons: Name of hotel had changed so had difficulty finding it. Cwry nice hotel but it was under construction during our stay. The view was blocked because of this and workers were right outside our window. The noise in the AM prevented us frim sleeping and we had to keep drapes closed for privacy. This was extremely disruptive as we were traveling and needed sleep.
Pros: Very clean, excellent location with beautiful views of the sea, friendly service, very good price, good breakfast.
Cons: Desperately in need of a renovation- hotel hasn’t seen any updating since the late 1980s possibly. Wallpaper peeling off, walls need a fresh coat of paint, beds uncomfortable, showering seems like entering a drain pipe ( water nice and hot though), windows didn’t let us sleep on third night of our stay due to loud rattling because of high winds, carpeting needs replacement as faded and torn in places. Staying here makes you feel like you’re back in the ‘80s. That said, it is extremely clean and the service people are lovely - even though the two extra pillows we requested never arrived.
Pros: Clean, breakfast and comfortable
Cons: Needs uplifting
Pros: Convenient location and parking facilities.
Cons: The hotel needs a re vamp, fitted carpets on wall there is mould, room was too hot asked for ac they said that in winter it can only heat, had to stay with the window open to get some fresh air.

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Great central location. Pretty roof terrace.
Cons: Carpets are filthy!
Pros: In general the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our room, although large, was dingy and dark. The carpets , both in the room and in the corridor, were filthy; a disgraceful situation. Also our ‘non smoking’ had had a smoker staying in there and there had been an attempt at deodorising the room. We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night and the street noise was outrageously loud; even through double glazing. If you would like to sleep do not book a ‘superior’ room under any circumstances. For what they were, the rooms are over priced.
Pros: The old maison was adapted to the hotel, rooms were beautiful, location just in the center closed to opera house and via Etna, super roof terace, friendly stuff.
Cons: You can hear well the neighbours, carpets on floors need refreshment, there are mostly sweets and fruits for breakfast
Pros: An extremely convenient location, right at the historic city centre and only a 15 minutes walk from the train station, a historic bulding, a simple but comfortable and clean room, an outstanding breakfast, and, above all, a super friendly and helpful staff: we have absolutely enjoyed our stay.
Cons: An English speaking tv channel such as BBC news would have been useful. Generally no complaints.
Pros: Liked the location, staff were excellent.
Cons: Bathroom was always smelling of damp, most unpleasant. The carpets in the room was very dirty. Breakfast was ok but have had much better.
Pros: the location was central
Cons: in the first it is difficult to find the hotel as the location known as a Manganelli, you can find Manganelli Square, Manganelli restaurant around there and yes, after I asked 2 people we found Manganelli Hotel. Hotel staff's English is not excellent. Hotel is very different than the photos, not reflecting realities. Breakfast is very limited, and only one staff responsible to serve, to top up the buffet, to clean etc. they are offering two different types of cheese and cheese are thinly sliced and limited if there is no cheese or any other food hotel offers, you need to wait the staff availability to top up the buffet.
Cons: Fabulous stay, excellent location, especially loved the outside terrace for breakfast, clean rooms and friendly staff, a great choice....

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Very spacious bedroom and a very spacious toilet with bathroom in another room all to myself! Very good value for what I pay. There is a metro station nearby; unfortunately I do not know how to get there till the day of departure when taxi driver pointed to me its location. Although kettle is not provided in the room, hot water is readily available from the reception.
Cons: Limited choice for breakfast, I spent quite large sum of money on taxi fares for my 4 days stay at the hotel.
Pros: terrific location, to visit cousins, close to public transport. Staff very friendly, helpful, especially the manager, great asset for the business
Pros: The mattress and pillow were orthopedic and very comfortable. The room was spacious.
Cons: The location is by a busy road and very isolated. You cannot walk anywhere. The heating via aircon wasn't great and the room could have been cleaner!
Pros: The staff kept the room very clean and reception did try to help with directions if we wanted to go somewhere, though there was a bit of a language gap. ( I'll have to learn Italian). It's just a pity they couldn't put their attention to my safe and TV.
Cons: As has been said in other reviews, the hotel is in a poor location. From the subway at San Nulo you have 1/2 mile trek to the hotel. Not for walking with suitcases. You have to negotiate some hefty bushes as you walk up a very busy road, one is in the grounds of a police station, just before a very busy bend. Get a taxi if you're going to stay at the hotel and you're coming from the airport. During my stay, the safe didn't work ( it only needed a battery) and dispite telling the staff several times, nothing was ever done. Fortunately I had come with friend's and used their safe whilst staying at the hotel. The swimming pool advertised on the web, was out of action, ie you couldn't use, which was a big disappointment and the TV didn't tune into Sky also advertised in the booking. I was in room 423. If I'd been on my own I would have made more of an issue of the pool and the safe.
Pros: size and modern character of the rooms, parking facilities, help of the staff
Cons: not easy to find via GPS
Pros: Clean comfortable and away from the main town, but 15 mins walk from the Metro station. Location enabled easy access to the main roads running north south to Syracuse and Toarmina
Cons: First impressions can be misleading, the reception is dark and decoration not maintained well the room key had a number taped on!! But the room was nice and had a large balconey we rather grew to love it
Pros: It was a good stay . It exceeded my expectations.
Cons: The only thing was the bathroom had a low ceiling because it was the top floor.
