Pros: You can tell that once upon a time it was a nice hotel. Great view from the terrace where they provide breakfast.
Cons: We never felt safe because the first day someone stole my Nike jacket from my room. They tried to reduce cost so there is not enough light, it was really cold because they don’t turn on the heater. It was no internet in the room as promise. The plates and the cups for breakfast were not clean. Is located beside a hostel so is really noisy! And everything is made off wood that cracks every time someone dares to move.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very unique architecture with great views. Pretty good breakfast. Luis is a very accommodating and personable host.
Cons: There is not central heating so it can be cold waking up on winter mornings. Hot water was a long way away but it got there.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: all was superb, you have just found your spot ;)
7,9 Good
Pros: The owner was great, and very accommodating. The first night we arrived the room was smoky due to the neighbor's chimney which was right below our room and we asked to be moved. He was able to find us a room on the first floor. The last night he upgraded us to the nicest suite in the hotel which was nice of him. We had a great view of Valparaiso from our leaving room and the kids had their own suite.
Cons: I guess this part of the charm of this hotel, but rooms are a bit outdated. The initial room we were given was very smoky because the next-door neighbor’s chimney was right beside our room window. I suppose in the summer this might not be an issue. The second room we were given was on the first floor which had very tall ceiling and small windows at the very top so you could not see outside. The breakfast spread was less that what I expected when compare the picture on the website.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, nice room, very nice host.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had a great stay in Valparaiso. The owner was so kind and showed us all the nice places of Valparaiso that we had to see. The room was not that big, but very cosy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really enjoyed our stay at RC Deco Hotel. Great location with a wonderful view, attentive and friendly staff, and a lovely breakfast in the morning.

Pros: Wonderful stay in a beautiful boutique hotel. Anna the hostess was very lively and informative. Staff was great. Rooms were large and spacious and beautiful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A very comfortable and beautiful hotel in a nice area of Valparaiso; staff very welcoming and helpful. Everything was perfect. The possibility to use the hotel parking was a significant advantage.
Cons: nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location and breakfast. Wonderful staff and building. Loved the bay window with harbour views in the room we had on our first night.
Cons: We had asked for a room with a view, but had to move from a room with a harbour view for our second night to a room with a "street view"
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Special hotel for photography and old beauties lovers. The hotel has spectacular views from the room 7 to the bay and port.

Pros: The room was fantastic, the view was perfect and the staff was great. They had Legos for my child and the breakfast delivered to our room was a nice change of pace. The spa was hot and ready on our arrival!!!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location with sweeping views over the city, comfortable and beautifully furnished rooms, and enjoyable shared spaces. Close to some of the best spots for sightseeing, but the hotel is so nice you'll want to spend plenty of time there too! Lovely home-cooked breakfast is the icing on the cake.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely view of Valparaíso from the best hot tubs in town. The breakfast simply delicious! A great experiance overall, would recommend for a romantic stay.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Interesting hotel perched high on the hill with great views. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to help with any concerns. The breakfast was good and plenty of choice. There are steep stairs in the room to access the bedroom and bathroom which could be a problem for some people. Would recommend this hotel.
6,3 Good
Pros: Staff and facilities, breakfast and cheese board were amazing, great location.
Cons: The hotel is a bit overpriced and there were issues with the water from the shower drain upstairs running down the interior wall and dripping out of the downstairs outlet in the kitchen. This issue was 'fixed' by changing rooms but only after the manager suggested that there was TOO much weight in the shower. I am 5'6'' 145lbs. They wanted me to move back to that room after it 'dried' out, but I said if I need to move due to issues with the facilities it mustn't be too big an issue to remain in the new room. Needless to say we didn't move again. Won't stay again, but would moderately recommend it for others with the noted caveat above.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: This old family home being run as a small hotel is a treasure trove of family collectibles and is laid out well, with a beautiful outside terrace. Tea, coffee and filtered water are available at any time of day or night, usually accompanied by biscuits and, if you want, fascinating conversation. Both Carolina and Doris, the sisters who run the hotel, are well versed in Chilean history, politics, the local area and have lived in many places in Chile, so have a good knowledge of the country’s geography too. We followed their recommendations for our two day stay and feel we made the most of our short visit. Transport around the city is easy and cheap, so the location away from the main hotel and restaurant area is not a problem at all.
Cons: Very little to complain about, other than mentioning that some of the fittings show signs of age, such as the shower unit in our room, which is fitted with a very modern power shower, but the doors were coming off their sliders, the tray was slightly cracked and the powerful jets went straight over the top of the unit, soaking the room!
9,1 Excellent
Pros: The owners, Doris and Carolina, are the only staff and from the start treated us more as friends than as guests at the hotel. The hotel is on the hill above Valparaiso, but with the information provided by our host, it was made easy to find our way in and out of the area, at very reasonable costs. Where else could you expect the host to provide you with a guided tour of the easy access from the town? The whole experience was enchanting!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing, nice area, great host.
Cons: The bed mattress was too soft.
7,5 Good
Pros: This is basically a museum. Run by 2 sisters whose grand granddad build the house in 1919. Since then it was the family house and nothing has changed. You are in all the old stuff. Great breakfast on a Terrasse with a view over the city private parking (but a bit a challenge to get into the garage) Sisters who run it are perfect hosts Price Value is nice
Cons: The place has this old smell Bathroom was across the floor Beds are kind of old
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very warm attention. Perfect breakfast.
Cons: Slow wifi
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was the BEST hotel we stayed in, during our 3 weeks journey. And this was solely due to the 2 sisters who made you feel at home instantly. Whenever you come in, they offer coffee and tea, make pancakes, treat you like a part of the family! The room was great, filled with antiques and curiosities. We slept like angels and were spolt from the first to the last second
Cons: I personally did not mind, but the house is old, and as such has also an old bathroom. It's also steep uphill, so maybe not to be recommended for people with walking difficulties.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The two sisters who own the property are so gracious and helpful. Beautiful view of Valparaiso and ocean. Loved to see the twinkling lights of the city below at night. Nice to see how people live in this city
Cons: I would never drive here
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners are delightful people. They are very friendly and helpful. The exterior terrace has a very nice view of the city and harbor.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing and delicious. Doris and Catarina are amazing people. A warm welcome and cups of coffee when required. They went beyond their call of duty and Catarina took me down to get the right tour and then when I was taking the bus to Santiago. Their consideration for me not speaking Spanish was making me feel at ease. They have a wonderful business here and deserve the highest accolades. Thank you Doris and Catarina.
Cons: The only fault was the bed. The mattress was uncomfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We couldn't have picked a better hotel in Valparaiso. Our host Doris was lovely and very helpful in informing us about the highlights of the town. Breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand House.

Pros: Very friendly, perfect view, nice food. A excellent small Hotel.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Contemporary industrial style hotel, excellent views over Valparaíso. Excellent breakfast, helpful, friendly young team. Great bars nearby.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was tasty and healthy; the room was clean and with a nice view. The shower was amazing.
Cons: It was a little bit chilly, but ok after a while.
7,9 Good
Pros: The design of the hotel is very impressive, comfortable bed & spotless. Staff very helpful & location is centre of old town,
Cons: Partying took place outside our room on public steps for the 2 nights we were there & kept us awake till after 4am (even with ear plugs) (dancing, shouting, banging drums etc). Whilst I accept that this is outside of hotel's control (they did call the police on few occasions apparently), the hotel should either house guests in opposite side of hotel, provide ear plugs & not sell rooms till protests end. I did explain this to the receptionist & felt we should have been offered a reduction in the room rate. The breakfast offers should be reviewed as it's basic for room rate charged.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great very modern hotel with concrete walls and some original brickwork. Good sized room. Nice fresh breakfast with great views from dining area. Wonderful area with lots of cafes, bars, restaurants very close. Good vibe and great interior design.
Cons: Room was very cold, but asked to be moved and a heater was provided. We had workmen outside our window from 9 till 6 both days, which meant no privacy, or keeping the blinds down and thus a dark room. Be prepared for stairs as there are no lifts. We were 2 floors down from street level.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was fabulous although a little difficult to reach since there isn't car access. The transfer the hotel set up to/from the airport was fantastic and Christian helped with the luggage up the stairs to the property. The rooftop restaurant was exceptional and the food fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Very convenient at the top of the Reina Victoria funicular. Thank you for an awesome stay!
Cons: Our rooms were on the lowest level. There was a slight smell of fuel oil (maybe?). The stairs to the restaurant was a good workout!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Fauna is a very nice boutique hotel in the heart of tourist area of Valparaíso. It has very attentive staff who speak and write with excellent English. It has an excellent breakfast and restaurant which has an amazing view.
Cons: Older travellers may be concerned by lack of an elevator but it was not a concern for us.
7,7 Good
Cons: Dont pick up 12 room

Pros: View and location unbeatable. Staff helpful and friendly. Restaurant excellent. Hotel a very neat and unusual design.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, super friendly staff, beautiful rooftop terrace, comfortable beds, great breakfast, friendly relaxing vibes.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, location and facilities. Would highly recommend.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are AMAZING !
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great atmosphere, easy to meet people. Activities organised every evening. Very good breakfast. Amazing rooftop terrasse. Dorms were spacious, each bed has a reading lamp and usb charging outlet. A bit of a party hostel vibe but silence enforced from midnight so you can also get a good night of sleep if you want to. Central location.
Cons: All showers were out of order on my 2nd night, from about 8.30pm till the following order... Bathrooms were very small so getting wet everytime someone would take a shower and then the floor would get dirty as soon as someone would walk in. Also, it was weird to have to throw the toilet paper in a country as developped as Chile (BUT, the floor and bins were cleaned every couple of hours)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, the hostel was really clean, there were tons of activities for travelers to bond and explore together, and the free breakfast was nice!
7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good, staff were friendly. Organised things to do on the evening... again disorganisef however.
Cons: As staff were predominantly volunteers, it was very disorganised e.g. breakfast was late or half set etc.
Hotel Da Vinci Valparaíso - Valparaíso - Bedroom

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request) and a cruise ship terminal shuttle.
5,0 Okay
Cons: Pathetic breakfast. On our second day we decided to skip it altogether and paid to have breakfast at a cafe.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were welcoming and helpful. The lobby was welcoming and comfortable. A keurig style espresso machine downstairs made mornings more special. If you need a beverage or a pick-me-up, there's a cooler downstairs where you can buy sodas, energy drinks, aloe juice, and still water.
Cons: Conversations, footsteps, other people's TVs, cell phones ringing... all of it entered our room as though our bed were in the center of the lobby with zero walls around us. On Saturday morning at 4:30, someone walked back and forth across our ceiling eleven times in five minutes, then down the stars and back and forth across the lobby. They continued up and down the stairs and across our ceiling till well after 7:30. Every footstep echoed in our room and kept us wide awake. Sleep was not possible with the level of noise that carried into our room. Additionally, one entire wall of our room is floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on the center courtyard and the interior hallways opposite our room. Ordinarily, this would be spectacular... except that the curtains that were meant to provide us privacy weren't big enough and only covered a portion of these enormous windows. With the curtains fully stretched as far as they would go, it was still possible for someone to stand to one side and have a full and unobstructed view of us in our room. Privacy was not possible unless the lights were off. This was rather frustrating.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Location, wood fired heater in reception.
Cons: The shower leaked through the floor boards and wet all of our clothes and electrical items. The staff moved us to another room but didn't follow up with us the next day.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice old building with wooden interior. The room was quiet and clean. It had all that we needed. Hosts were very nice and helpful. The location is very good - it is next to the two of the main passages - Fisher and Apolo.
7,9 Good
Pros: All you need is a clean room with a comfortable bed and good hot water (it was hot but took a long time to come through) - Hotel Da Vinci ticked all these boxes. Staff were very friendly & helpful, even with the language differences.
Cons: I chose the single room over two storeys, and the headroom was not good for a tall person like me. This was my choice, not a criticism of the hotel. In hindsight I should have paid more for a room with full headroom.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The owner was really helpful and let us check in early. He showed us where to go and where not to go. Even helped organise a rental car with a local company when none of the websites would allow us to book one online. The location was great because its situated not far from everything. It's a easy walk to the main bars, close to banks and there are restaurants just up the hill on the same street. You have to get use to the plumbing in the showers as you have to run the water for quite a while before it gets hot but there are signs in the bathroom telling you what to do. The only issue was the curtains on the first floor bedroom did not fully cover the whole of the window facing the outside. However, we enjoyed it so much that we returned the following week on the way back to Santiago and got a room on the ground floor which had one of the most comfortable beds we had slept in during our trip.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was outstanding. Location right in the heart of the arts scene. Wonderful food close by. Real find.
Cons: Inside room was musty and so they moved us to a better one.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the coffee and the kindness of the owner and his staff. It was 4 min walk from my work, very convenient location.
Cons: The first room I had was a bit too small. They moved me to a larger room.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Cheap prices
Cons: A bit dirty the rugs outside the room. Breakfast could be better.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location between the bus terminal and all major sights (walking distance to both). We stayed in a double room with private bathroom and had a great view over the Plaza and of the Valparaiso hills. The room is very spacious with high ceiling, the bed was comfortable. There was an electric heater, which was very useful during cool nights in April. The manager is a very nice, friendly, helpful and reliable person. He provides great information on the sights and transport. I wanted to go to some coastal towns to the north of Valparaiso, and he kindly sent me precise information on the bus routes. Overall, a great place to stay in Valparaiso.
Cons: There was some street noise during the day. But the place is very quite at night.
6,3 Good
Pros: Good central location, walking distance to the train station (to Viña del Mar) and bus station (to Santiago). Restaurants and pubs nearby. It is in a historic house which is romantic but run-down. The hostel which actually has been a spacious and luxurious apartment a century ago has been transformed into a basic accommodation which has definitely a character (and a cat) and is run by an enthusiastic owner. It is still a very basic place and should be avoided by those who have got used to hotel comforts. Cold in winter. Triple room at the corner had excellent views to the town centre. Most of the other rooms don't have views.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff provided lots of travel info, really big room with beautiful design, not far from bus terminal, stable Wifi, hot shower.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I like everything about the place, in particular, location, great Wi-Fi, and very nice, helpful and kind host! Everything went so smooth that I can't wait to get back there again soon!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Receptionist is very hospitable and provided information regarding city attractions, etc. Location is good and is walking distance to the bus terminal and a large supermarket. Room is big and basic but comfortable and clean.
Cons: A very long flight of stairs to the reception on the second/third floor. Paying by credit card will incur the tax that foreigners can be exempted from
9,2 Excellent
Pros: My host was excellent, very attentative and enthusiastic. Room was large. Bed was comfortable. The location is excellent. Breakfast was okeyish. All in all, a very good deal. I recommend the place.
Cons: All was very good.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, the staff was so friendly since the minute we arrived, especially Soledad <3 The breakfast was so good and the attention also.
Cons: The room was in the entry of the hotel therefore was too noisy every time anyone entered or exited the hotel. Also the room was in front of the lobby and the common area, it was hard to get a proper rest during the day.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: Not clean, no breakfast so why the name of the place with & No heating, there is a smell of mold

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Charming old hotel. Creaky floors and great views
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely staff, big comfortable room. It is a beautiful hotel and the views from the terrace and the street are outstanding. Loads of nice restaurants in the area too.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit basic and pre-pepared for each table - some bread, jam, cheese and cold meats. We don't eat meat and therefore weren't able to eat everything that was provided, make sure you warn the hotel if you would like vegetarian options.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Authentic decoration of the hotel. Location near the center. Great breakfastbuffet.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely view and good breakfast.
Cons: So many stairs and toilet paper was hard to come by. We only had a tiny roll of toilet paper and one of the public bathrooms also didn’t have any. We were located three levels down and had to carry our suitcases down the stairs as there is no lift. That was hard.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Charming old world building with character and grace. Great location for exploring Concepcion and surrounding area. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. No lifts available so one needs to be able to navigate stairs. The flight to the upper floor is narrow and steep. World class restaurants nearby. Be prepared for lukewarm showers and noise overnight from revellers, if you are in a room facing the harbour. Extensive selection of breakfast items and percolated coffee. Helpful tips from the reception staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location with good view of the harbor. Staff was very helpful and spoke excellent English. Would definitely stay here again.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely. The manager Claudio was very helpful and pleasant and offered us a free upgrade which was fabulous. The house is beautiful, central for great street art and good value restaurants. Very close to the funicular which is handy
Cons: The breakfast was adequate but basic
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Excellent breakfast. Very clean
Cons: Room was very small for two people plus luggage. Lobby was uncomfortable for reading/relaxing.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Gervasoni is a historic landmark in Valparaíso and has been beautifully restored, with glowing natural wood floors, doors, and trim; interesting antiques; and the original decorative tooled-leather ceilings. The views of the port are magnificent. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of well-prepared traditional dishes with innovative touches. The location of the Gervasoni, in the heart of the Valparaíso historical district, is ideal for wandering the streets, stairs, galleries, shops, and restaurants of Cerro Concepción and the surrounding area. The buffet breakfast was outstanding.
Cons: The bathroom shower stalls are cramped, and one shower was leaking water from the shower head, but the staff quickly moved me to another room with a slightly larger bathroom. Some rooms have better views than others. The first room I stayed in faced the port, but the view was partially blocked by a large, ugly concrete building. It would be helpful for the hotel to post views (and other details) about each room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old house. Fantastic location near lots of street art, cafes, restaurants and shops. Lovely views of the port.
Hotel Ultramar - Valparaíso - Bedroom

8,5 Excellent (749 reviews)
R1 206+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Ultramar in Valparaiso, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Casa Mirador de Lukas and Monumento de los Heroes de Iquique. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful when planning visits, catching buses or booking taxis. Room was comfortable and quiet and breakfast was good.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, beautiful building, and (in my opinion) the perfect location: a short walk to the main bar/restaurant area, but far enough to be quiet in the evenings. Great sea view from the dining room. Secure, onsite parking at no extra cost. Oh, and the room and linens were VERY clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable!
Cons: If you're staying alone, the walk back from the centre might be a little too far after dark (not a dislike, just something to bear in mind). The room was very spartan, so it's a good, clean, reliable place rather than a luxury aesthetic experience -- but I thought that was fine, because the price is reasonable. I would stay here again :)
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Great staff,cool place,nice sheets.good wifi
Cons: Lack of plugs for electronics
6,7 Good
Cons: The breakfast could have been better , but the rest was good !
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our room at the Ultramar Hotel had amazing views of the ocean and of the residential communities that surrounded us in the hills of Valparaiso. At night we were able to enjoy the city lights and the bells ringing in a distant church. I loved walking up and down the hills daily and visiting Pablo Neruda's home, La Sebastiana, within a 25- minute walking distance that was largely on flat ground. I further enjoyed all the walking tours of Valparaiso. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the history of Valparaiso, the architecture and its people. The walking tour of Mural Art was fantastic! The murals are fantastic and made me feel like I had walked into a magical Wonderland.
Cons: My husband and I are fairly fit and we enjoy long walks. For those not in the practice of walking a lot, there are taxis that we saw regularly climbing the hill to deliver locals to their homes and communities. The only annoyance in walking was the presence of many stray dogs and dog poop. Thankfully, the dogs appeared healthy, leading me to believe they are communally fed. Being vigilant about avoiding dog poop and broken sidewalks is strongly advised!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic view to the bay - ensure you'll book a room with view! In-person service was very good and welcoming
Cons: Customer service prior to arrival was bad. Tried to prepay the hotel but emails were ignored - one point to improve.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Have stayed here a couple of times and just love it. It's like a second home.
Cons: I love this place. Would be a 100% rating if there were some restaurants closer.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room with a view to the sea and the city. Very clean and cozy. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: The hotel is far from restaurants and the city center. Location is a bit secluded.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and very good staff.
Cons: A little far from Cerro Alegre.

7,1 Good
Pros: The location of the Hotel is great when you want to visit the city for fun and spending some good time at the restaurants, bars and watching the colorful graffitis.
Cons: Rooms were a bit small and the breakfast was not really worth to go for.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Location, breakfast are good too!
Cons: Not very clean specially the doors (need some paint) They do not have television at rooms! Too expensive for what they offer!

7,9 Good
Pros: I liked the breakfast and I liked that I could request it earlier if necessary. I thought the staff was pleasant and helpful. Room service everyday was nice and I felt that the hotel was safe!
Cons: The tile floors in the rooms made things extra cold. Rooms were very small (I had a single) which is fine, but the bathroom was particularly cramped. I also wish the heating device in the room worked better.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly. The location of the hotel is very good for exploring the Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción areas of the city. Within walking distance to the main square and port. A very comfortable stay, would recommend
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Simple, but it has everything that I needed for a short stay. Staff was nice. There are nice common areas to hang out/work since there is no place to sit in the room. Good value for money
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We forgot our passports in a small bag with $500US cash in the room... ran back about 8hours later and they had found it under the bed and left it in the hotel safe... all accounted for and sweet relief for us!! really lovely people. Highly recommend.

5,8 Okay
Pros: Good hotel location to see the centre area.
Cons: We were there for a difficult time for the city and the Chile. I found the staff had little understanding for the non Spanish speakers in the hotel. We both speak a little Spanish and read basic as well. But there was no comfort or understanding that we too where stuck in a basic hotel from 6 to 6. We understand how hard it was for the staff being away from there families at this time
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy bed, quiet room and very good location.
Cons: The shower could have another additional head so you don't get all wet when you don't want to wash your hair.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is easy to get to as it is just above the metro station at the port - it is really close to the elevators up to the homes and restaurants on the hills above.
Cons: Breakfast needs to be improved - very average.
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location, comfortable bed
Cons: Abit noisey within the hotel, no fridge in room.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Consistent Ibis standard, you know what you get, good room, good showers and hot water, very good breakfast, helpful staff
Cons: There is a privately operated gym on the 3rd floor and the muscle junkies roll and drop weights day and night so ask for a room on sixth or seventh floor on the opposite side to the gym
10,0 Excellent
Pros: convience and clean
Cons: dock worker work night shift. Dinner so so
5,0 Okay
Pros: Good selection at breakfast
Cons: Towels were old ,
7,7 Good
Pros: Staff at front desk were friendly enough and spoke a little English; elevators were functioning and clean, room was minimalist but clean and comfortable and quiet; bathroom was clean with nice showerhead; front desk called a private taxi for us when we checked out. A young man on the staff went out of his way to let us know how long we could expect to wait for the cab and to let us know when it arrived for us.
Cons: We missed the full breakfast, so when we went to the self-serve breakfast afterward, the options were limited to basically bread, coffee, and tea. That would have been fine, except staff did not seem interested in making breakfast easy or comfortable for us. The area was messy from the full breakfast earlier that morning, and we had to ask where to sit and how to get our food, because the staff in the cafe area were not especially attentive or helpful to us obvious foreigners.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Ibis is located right on the docks and above the metro station. We loved the colors of the barges and the city outside our window. The location was so central to museums, the historic neighborhoods and important monuments.
Cons: Breakfast was pretty weak and the pillows were a bit clumpy.
