Pros:Thrifty seems willing to refund me the insurance if I send them proof of payment.Cons:I had already purchased insurance through carrentals.com and then was billed for it again on the rental. I asked for snowtires and was told they didn't have any. They driving at this time was very treacherous without snow tires.Reviewed Feb 9 2018

Highly satisfiedPros:The staff were all extremely friendly, the shuttle was prompt and the car was exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price.Cons:My only suggestion would be to be more clear on how to reach the business from the airport. I had to go to another business' rental counter to ask so they could call the shuttle for me. The shuttle arrived quickly after that.Reviewed Mar 30 2017

There's a Reason for the Name ThriftyPros:We got that van switched before something unsafe happened. Tha van had tires that were so worn that wires were exposed. The company reduced the rental rate without a hassle.Reviewed Mar 5 2017

Cons:The car was old. The key fob did not operate properly -- I could not lock the car on several occasions. The windshield wipers were old and did not clean the windshield -- a major problem since it was snowing most of the time we had the rental. The car heater could not be adjusted properly. And worst of all, the car was unable to climb a hill leading to a ski resort one afternoon, because it lacked snow tires or four-wheel drive. In short, we hated this car and deeply resented the carelessness of the Thrifty office. One more thing, like icing on a rancid cake, they took 40 minutes to pick us up at the airport when we landed, though their office was 5 minutes away. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS.Reviewed Feb 14 2017

Pros:I liked that I was able to get a decent car with good gas mileage.Cons:I did not like that depending on the time I picked or dropped off my car, the price changed. I am extremely unhappy that I had to pay 85$ more to drop my car off before midnight and if I had dropped it off after midnight I would be charged a weekly rental when I would only have had the car for 4 days + less than 6 hours. I was also told there was no parking available for my vehicle, when in fact there was. I will never rent from thifty again - no one I talked to was friendly, helpful, had the correct information and I was charged ridiculous prices. I had originally raved about the great price I received for my renatal but when I had to modify the drop off time and was charged almost 60$ more than the cost per day of the original rental price, I was over it.Reviewed Oct 25 2016
