Pick up in Burlington was great—quick and easy, friendly and helpful staff. Drop off in DC at Union Station was horrible—drove around for an hour trying to find the return location, signs were either nonexistent or just plain wrong, and later got charged for fuel because the gas tank wasn’t full due to the extra hour of driving, even though staff at the drop-off location said they would waive the charges. Even at the drop-off location, almost no staff and signs, some employee had to waive me down and told me to park in a random spot to return the car rather than a proper return lane. No way to protest charges except to fill out a random feedback form.Reviewed Apr 10 2024

First of all, there were no Dollar agents at the rental service and the service was handled through Hertz. Returned the rental car one day early and they stated that there would be no refund since the transaction was made through Kayak. Extremely poor customer service.Reviewed Jun 17 2021

Cons:I was charged extra fees at pick-up that I was NOT made aware of. I would have never rented from here if I knew I would end up paying DOUBLE the offered amount. The woman who tried to explain on customer service was rude. The car smelled like cigarette smoke.Reviewed Oct 15 2020

Pros:The gentleman at the counter I dealt with was very pleasantCons:I paid for an SUV and was given a Toyota Corolla. When I called Dollar, I was given the run around. Mind you I rented this car in Vermont, in a snowstorm with summer tires on the vehicle.Reviewed Nov 19 2019

Cons:There was no one at the Dollar Rental car counter and maybe no one.m at the airport working for dollar rental car. Also, I had the car for less than 10 hours and the car was 70 bucks. Felt overpriced.Reviewed May 5 2019
