9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, comfortable bed, friendly staff
Cons: Room lighting
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting and great atmosphere for our snowmobile trip.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great time there, from the moment we walked in the door the smell of the firewood was a wonderful aroma. The room were of good size well laid out and very comfortable beds. The bar was an awesome place to get a drink, pizza and other food. It was wonderful to hand out in the big fireplace lounge area. Very convenient to ride snowmobile ride out on the trails from there and if you don't own or want to haul your own sleds you can just rent for a very nominal price.
Cons: The bad part of our stay was there was a wedding party and we were only able to enjoy the fireplace lounge area the 1st evening of our three night stay
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: When we left
Cons: Room next to hot tub was noisey had to call front desk to shut down the music poor service at the bar no internet service for cell phone place like this should have decent Wi-Fi but slow to nothing
7,9 Good
Pros: The room was comfortable. The restaurant across the street was fantastic. The location was great for hiking and driving around the canyon.
Cons: Hot tub wasn’t working. Front desk staff was absent at check out so we waited around because we didn’t know if we needed to do anything to check out (our bill was slipped under our door but there was no indication whether we still needed to check out). When the front desk person returned it was a few minutes after check out time and they threatened to charge us more because we weren’t checked out by the allotted time! In the end, they didn’t charge us but we had to wait to confirm that we the manager.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: We totally enjoyed our stay. Everything was first class, less internet service which was spotty. The restaurant served excellent food. The absolute beauty of the area is well worth the stay at Spearfish Canyon Lodge.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful ! Staff was great !! We loved Beth a the front desk!
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This lodge is truly a great find in the middle of the Spearfish Canyon. I found this place while looking for somewhere to stay as I was traveling through Spearfish into Wyoming. My only word of advice is be aware of where you are. Kayak.com told me it was located in Spearfish and it's actually in Savoy. The staff was helpful and friendly. The main entry is gorgeous with comfy chairs all over the place to relax and sit by a crackling fireplace. I had a standard room and was overly pleased with it. The decor is very fitting, room was extremely clean, bathroom was great. They even leave a cute stuffed bear welcoming you on the bed. Large bathrobes are in your room if you feel like taking a dip in their outdoor hot tubs which I also highly recommend. You can stare at the stars while you unwind. Try and get a creekside room...you can be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the water. I highly recommend this place to anyone!
5,1 Okay
Pros: Beautiful surroundings
Cons: Uncomfortable furniture (headboards), nor adaptable for ADA, Inconvenient distance of restaurant for handicap.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful area and beautiful lodge! Spacious, clean rooms. Cozy little bar and warm, huge fireplace to sit by.
Cons: My pillow was hard! I love a soft pillow

Pros: Great location clean good food
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Our MOTEL room was dirty! It smelled horrible and the carpet had stains all over it. It was also a converted motel because we had doors to the rooms on the outside of the building. This was a terrible Holiday Inn and they should pull their name from it.

5,4 Okay
Pros: Good quick store nearby with good beer, coffee, and sandwiches. Walmart across the road for travel resupply. Decent dining in spearfish isn’t far. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. We didn’t complain to them about the hotels shortcomings. Breakfast was nice.
Cons: Room was dated and not very clean. It smelled musty and moldy and I developed sinus problems after the first night. Should’ve asked to change rooms because another guests room I was in didn’t smell. Dated rooms don’t have enough outlets to charge your gizmos. Really annoyed by how luxurious their website presents this very mediocre Marriott property. There is a Hilton property next door. I’ll stay there next time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to freeway, easy to find. Clean and very comfy beds.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding staff, friendly, professional and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable
5,0 Okay
Pros: The staff were wonderful! Very friendly and helpful! Location was great next to stores and restaurants.
Cons: Our room was not cleaned well. I had to clean something off the toilet seat with my own Clorox wipes before my kids went to use it. We found garbage (straws and a medication blister pack) on the floor. There were hairs on the floor of the bathroom.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The lady at the front desk when we arrived was fantastic. Personable, professional and went out of her way to be helpful without being asked. The room was nice. I always love having a coffee pot and coffee in my room. I wrongfully assumed all the rooms had a whirlpool bathtub from the bookings site, so I was disappointed but know it wasn't their fault. I loved having nice brand bathroom samples and the front desk even gave me a couple extra at checkout. I was very pleased with the breakfast. Hot scrambled eggs, cheese omelettes, sausage, waffles along with your typical cold stuff but what impressed me even further is they had gluten free bagels. My son is gluten free so I really appreciated having something like that for him. The pool was adequate, clean nice. Just cold and small-ish for me, but having the hot tub helped that.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Well located
Cons: Needs to be refreshed.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Old matresses. Way over priced. Breakfast was horrific. Cleaning lady was very good. Most of the counter ladies were nice. The pool was nice.
1,0 Poor
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: We were put in a room that had not been remodeled and it stunk. The room was not clean and the floor was wet.
6,3 Good
Pros: We had a double bed room, thank God as one bed had hair in it and dirty under sheets.
Cons: The bedding dirty
7,0 Good
Pros: The breakfasts were really good. A nice selection of food.
Cons: The pool seemed really cold. The elevator was having problems and there was NO sign saying so. We got on and it got stuck. We had our grandkids with us and the 5 year old freaked! They should of had signs up immediately!
5,4 Okay
Cons: We could hear people walking in other rooms and down the halls. The floors sounded like wood with no concrete between floors.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast looked good.
Cons: I was dissatisfied with my stay. When I checked in I found the hotel under construction, you could not go through the lobby the floor was torn up, the elevator was not in operation, they had us on the 3rd floor, no other rooms available, my wife has COPD and barley made it up the stairs to our room. Went to the Hot Tub, none of the Jets worked and the ceiling above the pool looked liked it was ready to fall down, the floors in the hotel were very dirty. For a $120.00 I don’t feel like I got much of a deal.

Pros: We had a great time there, from the moment we walked in the door the smell of the firewood was a wonderful aroma. The room were of good size well laid out and very comfortable beds.
