The location was okay if a bit grungy. As far as chinese hotels go it was decent but that is a far cry from what I am used to most mid- level hotels. It wasnt the worst but I would definitely prefer alternatives.
The place felt dirty and run down. The sheets were rough and it clearly had seen better days.
Good hotel, excellent location for metro. Surrounding area was OK. Staff very helpful and polite. Good restaurant attached to the side of the hotel, nice food.
This is my repeat visit/stay and I noticed that Double and Twin-bedded Business rooms differ in layout and sizes despite being priced the same. I like the Business Twin room as the furnishings appear newer and nicer. Business Double rooms on the other hand have older furnishings and the rooms seem to differ in sizes - corner rooms are attractively designed and more spacious while rooms facing the lifts are cramped and dusty. I personally find that rooms on level 5 are much more appealing and better maintained compared to rooms on level 7 which look very worn, poorly maintained and are not thoroughly vacuumed (very dusty!).
I find most of the receptionists in this hotel very friendly, patient and helpful except for one young lady with long hair who was very curt, blunt and unhelpful in her response when I politely asked for a cleaner room. As a front-desk staff representing the image of this hotel, she certainly left a very bad impression on me. Fortunately, a different (better-trained?) staff was able to help me sort out the room option very quickly and efficiently in the end.
The hotel is within walking distance to Hanzhong MRT station and one station away from Shanghai Railway Station
The staff was not helpful and infomative enough to assist about famous places in Shanghai, which is something very basic service for customers upon checking in in many hotels in China and the rest of the world. The room I was given was facing the hotel sign board on the top of the building where there are roof top where your room is visible from outside. And the noise can be heard from the room making the room slightly uncomfortable to sleep. It was very much different than the 1st day of my stay in the hotel where I was given a 3rd floor room to stay which was more comfortable
This hotel enjoys a prime setting in Shanghai, sitting close to the south-north elevated highway. The hotel is conveniently located just a short distance away from Shanghai's main railway station and the Hanzhong Road Line 2 metro station. This charming hotel enjoys a wonderful design, complementing its surroundings with a splash of contemporary chic. The guest rooms are elegantly appointed, featuring refreshing tones and a peaceful ambiance. This hotel offers a wide range of facilities, assuring guests of a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy a high-quality dining experience in the restaurant, where delectable dishes are sure to impress.
