I almost never ever give 10/10 reviews! Well done, Paramount Hotel Seattle! We travelled to Seattle from Asia specially for the Alaska cruise. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I did take pains to call to verify information with the hotel reservation department beforehand, there was an unexpected complication after we checked in. There was great service recovery from the front desk staff and duty manager and everything was settled without additional fees. In terms of service, I would like to especially thank Mara for her all-encompassing thoughtfulness and care for our stay. I had several requests or queries during my stay and she took the time to take them aboard patiently and helped me through every single issue I had with a genuine and solicitous manner. The warmth and care emanating from almost all the staff was very obvious and I felt that they were very willing to go above and beyond to make the guest feel welcomed. We even had a touching welcome card and little gifts in our room upon checkin. Many of the staff were also local to the area and were able to give practical travel tips/ restaurant recommendations readily if Eric, the concierge staff, was either busy or off-duty. During my travels, I have come across many hotels have staff who aren't from the area so they aren't able to give such good tips for the area. They also provide coffee/tea all day in the front reception area. The room we had was also big and spacious with a nice coffee maker for artisan coffee sachets and a super plush, high quality bed which is more akin to the kind of beds I have encountered in top 5star hotels. We really got to sleep very well at night! =D In addition, we chose the hotel because it was close to the airport link at Westlake Centre and close to places we wanted to go to. The area around hotel was also not that noisy and we didn't feel unsafe when walking around the area at night.
Would have preferred if there was automated doors along the Pine Street entrances of the hotel. It is a bit of a struggle to get luggage in or out through the heavy double doors when entering from Pine Street. I wish it wasn't so expensive but, to be fair, prices in Seattle aren't cheap.
This hotel is good and the only reason I am giving a bad review is the properly ran out of bread, TWICE! in a week stay How does a hotel ran out of bread not to mention within stone-throw of places that sell bread! I phoned up twice in the morning for "toast" to be told had run out of bread! whoever does there ordering should be under review and the fact you could have just walked to target and buy some is acceptable
Front reception amazing
The staff and overall service was very good. Excellent location to transit, Pikes and downtown. Great happy hour.
