The Arctic club is located in a beautiful building and is decorated in an Edwardian style to a very a high standard. This is a premium establishment and sits squarely in the cost bracket for such a hotel. We were kindly upgraded for our honeymoon which we very much appreciated and received a pleasant balcony room on the 10th floor. The room was a very good size with a luxurious bathroom in addition. Mini-bar and extras were available and priced accordingly. The staff were intensely helpful and no request was too much.
No complaints on the property. Just be aware that on a Sunday morning your breakfast choices will be the somewhat costly bar/restaurant on the first floor, joining an enormous queue at a place dedicated to selling biscuits (scones), or traipsing uptown to find anywhere open. Not a complaint just something to prepare for in advance.
Comfortable bed and excellent bar service.
A free shuttle to the cruise line should be offered. On the site advertising the hotel, the distance from the hotel to the ship states 3/10 of a mile. It appears to be walkable, but because of the hills and uneven streets, walking is not doable with luggage. For this reason, staying at the Marriott would have been a better choice because it’s right across the street from the loading dock.
We loved everything about the Arctic Club, including but not limited to the facility itself, the entire staff, the flavored fruit water and welcome hot cookies! Thanks a lot!
Loved the old style of this place. Close to the Clink. We walked there in no time at all. Loved the throw back style and upscale feel.
Nothing. Staff was more than pleasant and very helpful. Would stay again.
