Best swimming pool ever - anywhere
The restaurant staff were superb and went the extra mile.
The main reason I chose this 4 star hotel was on price it was 400 euros per week cheaper than my usual go to Hotel Greishof in the centre of St Anton am Arlberg town. It still had a hotel swimming pool which was something I normally go for to. The bad point that everyone mentions is that this hotel is on a continuous uphill walk on Arlbergstrasse just above the main town. In ski boots it takes 15 to 20 minutes to walk back to the hotel depending how you are feeling. They do offer free ski & ski boots storage at a place near the Galzig ski lift to negate this issue and in high season a shuttle van to and from but I visited in April low season. The 3 bus ran frequently going downhill every 10 minutes between 8am and 9am peak time but going uphill from 4pm onwards it only ran once per hour which was not good enough. Personally I adapted to the walk carrying bed slippers in my rucksack sometimes changing into them to do the uphill walk or just slowly walking in ski boots with my skis on my rucksack. If you look at it in a positive manner it was an extra challenge to the end of a ski day and being uphill and slightly out of town there was not any noisy drunk people around like in the town centre. It is an older 4 star hotel with older decor but everything works. The room I had was 301 a spacious double room on the third floor with great WiFi reception, a 32 inch TV with some English channels namely BBC1, BBC2, ITV, ITV4, BBC World there might have been more but I cannot remember. The room was kept clean and you were provided with a dressing gown to use the spa facilities. There was a decent stainless steel rectangular shaped pool ideal to do lengths in cold water which was great to cool down after skiing and helps relax your feet that take a hammering from skiing. Some people mentioned that the water is cold. It is a swimming pool for doing laps so it's supposed to be that way it's not a fun pool for jumping in chatting and generally messing around in.

The staff is always kindly, friendly and quite helpful. Everything was done for me before i thought. The meals were excellent. The main dish is optional. You can select from 3 types of it. i liked traditional tastes much. i do not eat any of carbohydrates so special regulations are done for me immediately. i felt special. The staff in traditional dress which is called "tracht" i think was pretty. i thank all of stuff, especially who likes to take photos :-)
