Cons (-) Nothing like the photos. This hotel is super run down. There were some renovations that were poorly done, including a hole in the bathroom wall because the AC was situated between the sleeping area and bathroom. Our door was in such bad shape that the lock barely worked, there was no chain lock, you could see outside from under the door, and you could feel the wind blowing all around it. One of ou...

Pros (+) The location is great and the price was great for SF.
Cons (-) the carpet was wet from a window that was left open when I arrived. The room was musty. This is one of the foggiest places on earth though so it’s to be expected.

Pros (+) It was close to golden gate park so we were able to get up and get to the gardens early in the day when the entrance fee is waived. Also, I have 4 children and it is hard to find rooms that can fit all of us at once but they had a suite which was big enough for all of us. The staff was friendly.
Cons (-) The breakfast was very small with few choices. The location did not seem like an especially safe area although we had no problems.
