PRO: Large comfortable room on the plaza area, near parking garage. Comfortable bed. Nice restaurant on the premises. Con: We were told on the phone the day before check in that we would be allowed to use the pool before our room was ready, but when we arrived in the early afternoon we were told that was not possible.

Pros:We usually stay here and have a good experience, but we are disappointed they gave us a room right next to the tequila bar. We have young children and they were up all night because of the music in the bar. Also parking is a nightmare, $12 or not it was difficult to figure out which building was connected to which parking lot.
Cons:The room key didn't work when we got to the room, the staff had to "check" to see if our reserved room was even available. The breakfast buffet was not refreshed more than once, by the time we ate at 8 am everything was stale and cold or dried out. If people pay for a stay and are allowed a buffet, at least make it seem like you care enough to keep the food fresh. Wait staff was practically non existent if you had a voucher, but if you were paying cash you got all you needed.

Pros:Everything was awesome except for the odd location of our hotel room. However, it was a beautiful room with a beautiful view.
Cons:I stayed in the 600 building. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the location of my room. It is a good walking distance from the lobby. You actually have to go past the hotel lobby, make a right at the next street, go up the hill and then you'll reach the 600 building. The directions they gave were exactly on point and made it easier to find.

Pros:Rooms good space- How CLEAN the rooms are and the small extras provided ..Water btls- coffee extra Towels on request. Hotel in the center on the city street event. perfect for walking no- car traveling. needed. Hotel Cafe available again very nice. all the staff ready to serve and extremely friendly. We have enjoy our 2nd year now at this Hotel. we had a Fabulous stay!!!

Pros:The Hacienda came through for us with flying Mexican colors on Cinco de Mayo Weekend The hotel staff must be commended from Jesus the Hotel Manager to Celine on front desk staff to Kasandra in house keeping. You all deserve a big Cinco de Mayo Gracias!! What a view and sounds of the Old Town Cinco de Mayo festivities from our balcony. Muchas Gracias Hacienda - we'll be back !!!

Pros:Traveling on business - very easy access from airport and to the clients I worked with. There is plenty to do within walking distance being in Old Town - or you can stay at the Hacienda and enjoy their amenities. The staff at the Hacienda were welcoming and accommodating to any request that I had.

Cons:Hotel advertises they have shuttle service, called before booking to confirm shuttle service but was never told its within certain hours and areas. construction going on, detour is pretty bad when you are at the end of the hotel.

Pros:It was in a fantastic location close to Old Town, and San Diego State Park. Rooms had small kitchen with all necessities available for our use. Breakfast was included
Cons:WiFi didn't work consistently, property too spread out. Had to go through so many gates, and up and down stairs to get to pool, and restaurant where breakfast was served. Depending on who was on duty, the desk clerks were rather passe' about helping us figure out how the bus system worked, or answering questions about the property and how to find the pool, restaurant, etc. One night we used the elevator to get up to the restaurant to go to dinner, and by the time we were finished with dinner and on the top floor, the elevator was out of order, and we had to use the stairs. For us this was no problem, but we saw a woman who could hardly walk, and what was she supposed to do in this situation? I do have to say that we liked the location so much that we will probably stay at the BW Hacienda again. If I had small children, all the stairs would have been a nightmare!!

Pros:The view was beautiful
Cons:There was no parking in my section of room stay so I had to park and the other side of the building and to top that off I had to go up 75 stair steps 4 total flights because the elevator was out of service with luggage it was even harder very disappointed with that situation
