Pros: The care they brought into preserving and showing travelers the beauty of the building and all the Chiapas art. Our room was big. The king bed with a living room. We had fires at night. It’s close to everything! The breakfast were delicious! I really appreciated the attention of the staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location, breakfast, facilities, the experience in Santa Lucia was amazing. We will back for sure!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff is super friendly. The special wishes we had for breakfast ( more of this fruit instead of ... etc) were always met immediately. One day we had to leave early for a trip and they prepared us a delicious lunch box. At the check in we were provided with all very helpful recommendations- all the places they recommend us for dinner were great! We had the room on the upper floor amatenango “ which is beautifully decorated. It only has an upper winder, so there is hardly a view but it really does not matter.
Cons: Nothing - everything was perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Santa Lucía count not have been more accommodating. They even brought a birthday tart and small bottle of champagne to our room on my husband’s birthday!
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was spectacular. I did not want to leave.

Cons: Low shower, no air-conditioning or window in the room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing welcome and gorgeous property. I would definitely stay again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My family and I felt welcome upon arrival at the hotel. The staff is amazing very polite and helpful. The rooms are beautifully decorated and a good size. We rented five rooms and we were happy with all of them. They have a good and tasty selection of food for breakfast. I definitely recommend it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A gem of a hotel. The lobby and rooms were beautiful, with individual artwork and textiles. It felt calm and peaceful. The staff were some of the friendliest we encountered. The breakfast was delicious and a highlight.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super nice and accommodating. The breakfast options were delicious to an extreme. The location is great - close enough to walk to the main attractions and restaurants in town but far enough to be quiet. The parking lot is only a few steps away from the door.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: They are very accommodating from airport pick-up and drop-off (for a cost and they disclose the amount when you set it up via email, phone call or in person). Sending you off with a box lunch if you can't make breakfast (give the front desk a 24 hour notice) You get to choose your breakfast off the menu so it's made fresh. They are available to assist you at anytime and suggested great places to eat, shop and site see within walking distance. They suggest where to eat, but if you want something other then suggested just ask. Not a typical 5 star hotel like USA, but definitely 5 star service. Great experience and wish we stayed longer, but we know better next time. More expensive then other hotels, but worth it in my opinion. They lock the door so just knock or right the bell and someone will come. Loved the decor within the hotel photos do it no justice.
Cons: Shower can be slippery be careful and be careful when you shower the knobs are not label water can get very hot.

Pros: Early check in after getting off the night bus.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and nice
Cons: The rooms are dark, and illumination could be better
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The room was great. It faced into a large picturesque courtyard. The bedding was good. The hotel reminded me of being in a hacienda. The breakfast was good as was the coffee. There's a street about two blocks away that's open only to pedestrians and it's lined with shops and restaurants.
Cons: The location is a little out of the way. It's about four or five blocks from the main square in San Cristobal de las Casas and the sidewalks are narrow, uneven and sometimes slippery. That's not the hotel's fault.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Large comfortable room. Beautifully decorated. Hot, hot water. Very short walk to main pedestrian walkway. Staff always friendly!
Cons: May just be a one off event, but WiFi was incredibly weak/lacking inside the room. Had to sit outside to use it.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is really charming, located at walking distance of the centre and has a restaurant service. The courtyard is a wonder. Great value for money
Cons: The room is a little bit dark. WiFi signal a bit weak in the bedroom.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice building, delicious breakfast, the personel was really helpful and very nice. The location is perfect, very close to the main square but at the same time a quiet and calm place.
Cons: There was no Internet in the room (only in the public zones like lobby, patio, restaurant, bar, etc.). The room on the ground floor was a little bit cold and humid.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, large room&bathroom, very clean. Kind English speaking receptionists. Roop top restaurant , garden very nice.
Cons: Maybe club around the hotel but you didn't hear when bathroom door closed so didn't bother me at all.

Pros: Breakfast was amazing.
Cons: Nothing, all was good.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice Mexican atmosphere and friendly staff Great location close to main square.
Cons: TV in restaurant and horrible bathroom light
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a large white building on the corner of 1° de marzo and 16 de septiembre, one block north of the Cathedral and square. A somewhat complicated layout with patios and various stairs, but well located and pleasant. NOTE: One leaves the highway on Crescencio Rosas Street, which becomes 16 de sept. at about the level of the Cathedral. Café La Selva is also on Crescencio Rosas.
Cons: Perhaps a few ramps to replace some low and somewhat irregular steps.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Stayed for 3 nights. Excellent service, great location and good food. The rooms are small but nice. Very clean. Recommend
Cons: Not all the staff speaks English.. A
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service by the staff. . The breakfast was delicious!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place , elegant yet historic design - you could watch Netflix on the tv ! Upscale feel but very affordable - great shower-
Cons: You had to get up to turn the reading light by the bed on and off. It should be on a separate switch - no big deal The rooms can be a bit dark unless you have window on the courtyard
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms and location - beautiful hotel
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was truly beautiful in the most subdued Mexican way. The main courtyard was very inviting, and every little design detail was tasteful. Our room was quiet, and nice, in spite of the fact that it was a bit dark. I did not mind since I specifically requested a room that did not have a window to one of the noisy streets. As a result, I was very happy with our quiet room, with no street noise. Breakfast, although not included in the day rate, was good and inexpensive. The location of the hotel was excellent.
Cons: During check in, I did not like that the person at the front desk, who by the way was very polite, missinformed us about our first day trips we took to Canyon of Sumidero. He stated it included a visit to the "lookout" on top of the mountain, but it did not. He also stated the hotel worked in conjunction with "Viajes Itzza" to take care of our day tour needs. Although their hotel sponsored day-tours were about 50% more expensive than other tour operators [such as "Jalapeno Tours"] we decided to use them for the sake of convenience. We were sorely disappointed because instead of providing us with good, personalized service, they made us wait for about an hour at the Rio Grijalva docking area before boarding our boat, while the same process was taking the other tours about 5 minutes to depart. The explanation we were given is that "we" were waiting for another two people arriving from the nearby airport! On top of that, we did not get to go to the top of the "Sumidero Canyon" even though our tour was sold to us as such. Conclusion, in our experience we were not provided with good service by they hotel concerning the day tours they offered. At any rate, we solved the lack of good service by Itzza by choosing "Jalapeno Tours" [which did provide a good service to us] for our next three day tours.

Cons: we loved all. but be aware that my parfum was taken from room
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The property, staff and location.
Cons: The WiFi doesn’t work inside the rooms.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic building just a few meters from the main plaza. Street parking is difficult, but the hotel provides free parking nearby. Staff was very professional and friendly. Rooms are spacious, nicely furnished and very clean. Beds are super comfy!
Cons: The rooms are not soundproof, you'll hear noises from the street and everything that happens in the corridors of the building. No heating system, which means in winter months it will get cold in the rooms during the night. This is typical in most of Mexico. But the hotel provides many blankets for the beds.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location Room size
Cons: TERRIBLY noisy at night, so poor quality sleep - moved rooms, still noisy Breakfast ordinary Showers not always hot
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect. The hotel has some extra free services : free snacks and beverages at the happy hour. Staff very professional. Parking very close from the hotel. A lot of space in the room.
Cons: Wifi not very fast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very close to the center. Great location. Very pleasant and comfortable. The staff is very attentive.
Cons: The room is a bit small, but it was not a problem for us. Not all staff spoke English, but everybody did their best to help and were very friendly and attentive, so we could manage although we did not speak any Spanish.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: A lot of noise at night, room looked bigger on pictures
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location & the free drinks at the bar in the early evening.
Cons: The room - it was damp. We noticed the smell of damp as soon as we walked into the room! The bed clothes, towels & even the toilet paper was damp ! We complained & asked for a change of room but we were told that the hotel was full , so we couldn’t change the room !! Unfortunately we had paid for the three nights as we checked in before we saw the room ! I don’t recommend this hotel.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Is located in the downtown at walking distance of the major restaurants and museums of San Cristobal, facilities were clean and with a great design
Cons: I don’t think I have major complains about the property it was a great value overall
5,4 Okay
Pros: Good central location and good toiletries
Cons: We asked housekeeping whether our room was quiet at night as the window overlooked a roof top bar and a rock bar too. She assured us it was tranquil, but we could feel the bass after hours and had bad sleep for the first two nights before asking to move room. They did, which was great but feel annoyed they were not honest initially. Despite what the advert says front desk staff do not speak a word of English. Thank god my husband speaks Spanish. Little bit disappointed. The tapas that is available in the evening is quite basic and they do not publise it well so we didn’t even know about it until the third night. They don’t have any in house catering apart from breakfast which wasn’t included. Decor Seemed really dated and eerie - surroundings and public spaces are not utilised by guests as seems unwelcoming. Lastly the toilet in the second room kept blocking!

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was awesome and also our room was nice, realy big and bed was comfortable. It was realy close to the city. I have to say it was the kind of hotel you enjoyed you stay in this city
Cons: We do not like that it was allowed to smoke in the sitting area near the reception because we smell the smoke also in our room
7,1 Good
Pros: The Location is very good - Close to the main Center. Of course there is some noise but it was ok. There is coffee in the room that one can prepare for himself.
Cons: The Hotel doesn´t offer breakfast, but there are nice Options nearby
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was absolutely great, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We need to bring our accommodation forward one night in palenque, the reception at our next accommdation didn't speak English, the receptionist here kindly called on our behalf and arranged for us. The location is incredible. The room was very clean and spacious, Wi-Fi worked great and shower pressure was excellent. The room itself is dark however you just keep the lights on in the day when occupying. Highly recommend and would 100% stay here again. Breakfast not included however still excellent value for money.
Cons: The ground floor room can be a little bit nosey from people in the seating area but really wasn't a huge issue.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Hotel was genreraly very clean
Cons: I don't really unerstand why nobody mentioned here before that nearly all windows of rooms overlook very busy and noisy street?! At 5 o'colck we were awakened by loud engines and could't sleep anymore. Our problem was that we had to pay by "Booking" for 3 night reservation ahead and we lost money for 2 as it was non-refundable and there was noone to talk with about any changes as hotel service speaks only Spanish. Most of hotels around has beautiful patios where you can sleep in calm and quiet. If you want to relax better choose one of them!
7,1 Good

5,7 Okay
Pros: The location in proximity to the town centre was very close, it only took 5 minutes to walk anywhere we needed to.
Cons: The bed was awefully hard, not very comfortable at all. The bathroom was pretty basic. Could do with updating. The room was very noisy.
7,3 Good
Pros: Nice design and very comfortableVery friendly staff. An oasis of calm !
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Gloria, the cleaning woman, Mateo and Eder - two of the excellent waiters and Alfredo, one of the managers come to mind as "Muy Muy Amable", however everyone who I met that worked at the Hotel Tierra y Cielo were very friendly and helpful! I felt like I as a member of an extended family! I highly recommend this hotel to people visiting San Cristobal Las Casas. I definitely plan on coming back! I thank all the beautiful people of the hotel Tierra y Cielo very much - "Muchos Gracias"!

Set around a tranquil arched courtyard, this colonial-style hotel offers free WiFi in common areas and free parking at a nearby location. San Cristobal Church is a 10-minute walk away. You can drive to the border with Guatemala in 2 hours.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Too much noise at night mainly from customers. Not the fault of the hotel per se but if they had someone on night duty they could have quietened them down
6,7 Good
Pros: Location was great, on pedestrian mall & near lots of restaurants & main square. Nice courtyard.
Cons: The rooms were tiny, with the double bed jammed up hard against the wall on one side. The room was noisy, we could hear other guests talking and laughing until very late at night. Power points for re-charging electronic devices were inconveniently located ie above headboard of bed, and up high where I could barely reach.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, very good staff, comfy bed
Cons: A bit dark room and luggage has to be on the floor, but that'all!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Best thing about Casa Margarita is the location, situated right on the pedestrian-only portion of one of the main shopping and dining streets in the city center. Walk out the door of the hotel and you are seconds away from dining, bars and shopping as well as the central park and several historic churches. Despite this location in the heart of things, it was quiet at night as the rooms are set back, away from the street surrounding and behind a large central courtyard. Also good were the friendly staff and great cleanliness. Also free bottled water.
Cons: I didn't like that my room had no table/chair or desk/chair which I prefer when working on the computer. As I saw some rooms did have small table/2 chairs, I could have asked to change rooms or have one added to mine but did not as I was not doing much computer work. Also, wi-fi was fairly slow at times. OK but not good if you're doing business. Main complaint, important to me: No coffee in the morning. I like to make coffee in the room or have it available from the hotel. Perhaps they have coffee makers in upgrades? Basic, clean hotel and it's a good value if you don't need much.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Casa Margarita is a very beautiful mansion built in colonial style. It's located in the very heart of San Cristobal de Las Casas.
Cons: They don't have heating and the night is cold.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Great general atmosphere. A caring staff - willing assisted in promptly organising a Dr for an ailing member of our group and ensuring our well being. A very secure car park was available and assistance provided to transfer luggage from the vehicle to the accommodation. Highly recommended!
Cons: All was good!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A perfect location and the room was very clean and a comfortable bed!
Cons: The noise from other guests was horrible. I think in checking in, they should tell the guests to be respectful in the hallways and keep the voices in the rooms, and with that, the noise travels. My neighbors decided to watch their TV loudly at 6am!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, large rooms, many areas of extra space which helped w the kids. Free potable water. Kind staff. Clean. (In pictures the rags were bc they were cleaning- they weren’t there for long!)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. I loved it.
Cons: Everything was excellent. Great experience.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Our suite was well appointed with a very comfortable bed, functional kitchen, balcony over a beautiful courtyard with a pear tree. The bedspread was handmade from local Chiapas weavers and really added to the experience. All staff was responsive and friendly.
Cons: There was a rooster in a coop nearby that interrupted our sleep until we realized the hotel had provided a heater/fan that had enough white noise to drown out the rooster :). It worked well.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very good hotel for older people or a couple looking for something rustic and cozy atmosphere!
Cons: In fact, everything was amazing, maybe the restaurant isn't the best. To rustic for a young couple in my opinion!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful, calm, big and the fireplace, we didn't expect, was incredibly romantic! The staff helped us organizing a horse trip, nice restaurant to go, printing our boarding cards and finding a good priced transport to the airport! Just awesome!

Pros: Wonderful location
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Basic room, NO wifi, No TV, long walk to rooms while carrying luggage, NO help. Not a convenient location
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff - very friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfasts and great dinners.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic hotel, lovely gardens, Great rooms fire place, whirlpool tubs, comfy beds.
Cons: A bit out of the way.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in the large rambling house of a Danish explorer and his Swiss wife. It is an amazing place, sunlit courtyards, a huge dining hall with a log fire. Some of the bedrooms have fireplaces, and you are allowed to light fires in your rooms! How amazing is that! It gets cold at night but very warm in the day. It is also a museum, housing all the arifacts and personal treasures of the late owners.
Cons: It is quite a walk from the town centre, but has a large garden and birds, rather than traffic noise.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We love the cultural activities going on in the compound ranging from evening lectures, incredible weavers from local villages showing their creations, university students attending a workshop, special exhibits by local artists, and the amazing collection of books in the library, Trudi's photos of the Lacandon Maya, and amazing museum pieces on permanent display. Breakfast is fabulous with home baked bread, fresh fruit and heart entree. We were well cared for by the staff who always seemed to anticipate our daily needs (extra firewood when it was cold, delivering soup when we were sick, arranging transportation, and very, very friendly.
Cons: Sometimes breakfast took a very long time which was fine most of the time. But when we had morning appointments with guided tours or our Spanish language school, we found ourselves needing to eat breakfast in town at places where service was consistent and took less than an hour.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Culturally interesting facility including concurring events when we were there. Easy access to downtown. Firep;lace
Cons: Accommodations are in need of attention. Room was dark and cold, and poor lighting for reading. The worst value for the cost of anywhere we stayed in Chiapas. (Nightly rate more than the Hilton in Tuxtla!) Breakfasts were boring, service much too relaxed/slow even for the culture. We are tolerant and experienced international travelers and this facility is out of touch with contemporary standards including in Mexico.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff went out of their way to accommodate me.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Feeling the culture
Cons: You can feel humidity in the bed...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is unique- an incredible museum of a bygone era, with accommodation. It beautiful, individual, and completely peaceful. The rooms are authentic old style Mexican, with quirky touches- we had a log fire one night, and loved looking at the b&w photos. Its a bit of a walk from the main strip, but worth it to experience such a lovely place. Breakfast was great, and staff were very helpful.
Cons: nothing- but if you like all mod cons and minimalism it might not be for you.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The location is fantastic, only a few blocks away from the center. The rooms are spacious and were clean, overall. The hotel is "themed", displaying various lovely indigenous attires in the hallways with a description of each indigenous group. The staff are very nice and friendly.
Cons: Payment was a very slow process and they issued little receipts for everything which one had to sign (to register, to get the invoice, to get a remote control). The shower was horrible: very thin and few jets of water came out of the shower, which was placed so high that one needed to move from tiny jet to tiny jet to get wet & rinsed. My sheets had a big stain (they had been washed but the dark stain was very visible). The bed was otherwise comfortable. Any noise made outside (including what I thought might be the water pump) is amplified in the room. The curtains are white, so they don't block the light. There was no place to hang a hand towel by the sink (which was in a separate room as the shower). No blow drier either, so lucky I brought my own.
7,1 Good
Pros: The price and location
Cons: The noise and the staff

Pros: The workers are super friendly, rooms are comfortable and clean. There’s even lockers outside the rooms to use after your check out. The owner definitely did everything for backpackers to feel at home and cozy!
Cons: Absolutely nothing!! I didn’t expect the hostel to be that comfy for the price! The breakfast is simple but hey! You get the same breakfast in other hostels that are 2-3 times this price!

4,6 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: They still have carpet in the room, and smells really bad. They change our rooms, but still second option was bad. I would stay in a more traditional downtown place, most of them for half the price, but this one had a great location to avoid downtown traffic.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Very good location
Cons: Hallway was noisie, everything echoes, but no alot of traffick. If hotel gets very busy and coming into rooms late, then you will hear everything and wont sleep. Unless you sleep like a rock.

Cons: I didn’t like the bathroom it was too small and the staff weren’t very accommodating and I had gotten the rooom for 70 dollars and when I got there they charged me 92 dollars . I didn’t realize they had overcharged me there until after they fact
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very central and the staff was so pleasant and helpful! They recommended “must see” places and were always so wonderful.
Cons: The only thing we’re alrhough the bathroom in the room was clean , it had an unpleasant odor to it. Don’t know if it was coming from the outside or from where but overall pretty clean.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Great location, beautiful, clean property!
Cons: Not great customer service. Front desk needs training on how to welcome tourists. They didn’t offer much information about tours or places to eat. Online booking request of room location was not honored. We had to sleep in a noisy room near the Main Street the first night. We got an attitude for informing the front desk that the tv remote was missing in the new room.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff did not speak English , No restaurant on site
3,8 Mediocre
Cons: The room was given to us just at 4:15, even when check in is at 3:00, since the cleaning person was still there, supposedly cleaning, (there was plenty other rooms ready). Once we entered the room the `cleaning`person had left on one of the chairs a wet towel, a pillow case with blood stains on it, and some papers from the previous guests. I took a picture and brought it to the front desk, and the only thing the girl at the desk said was that they will tell the cleaning staff. When it was time to leave we requested to leave at 13:00 instead of 12:00, and it was initially denied, until remind them that the room had been given late, and dirty.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely former monastery from 1740. Nice rooms and our master suite was bright spacious and very comfortable.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very good location. Off street parking close by. Friendly and helpful staff
10,0 Excellent
Pros: - Staff very accommodating - we arrived at 7am and they let us check in early with no problems - Good size clean room with 2 double beds and decent bathroom - Beautiful courtyard and common areas - Amazing location just one street away from Main Street full of bars and restaurants - Lots of people complaining about the noise on here but we had no problems. Not sure if it was low season but San Cristobal is not a busy place on these streets and we had 2 very good night sleeps.
Cons: - Breakfast not included (but pretty standard where we’ve been travelling) - We speak broken Spanish so got by but be prepared staff do not speak much English.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The house is perfectly restored. Extremely clean.
Cons: The staff at the reception desk was really terrible. They seemed as they were bothered to check us in. When asked about excursions they just turned their head towards leaflets on the stand. There was some noise ( like a very loud ventilation) in our room, even during the night.
6,3 Good
Pros: - great location
Cons: - very dated rooms - room was very dark - lots of defects in room (shower, lights, ...)

Pros: This hacienda could be easily a museum! I was impressed and my Mexican friends also admitted that they had not seen such beautiful haciendas in their life! You can feel like time stopped there and imagine yourself back in time. This place is 200 years old ( as they say). Breakfasts were very tasty however it was not included in the price of our rooms, but I definitely recommend it.
Cons: -
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, lovely rooms. Very good value for money. Loved the ambience of the place. Fabulous gardens. Peacocks are fun!
Cons: The restaurant wasn’t great. We suspect that this is partly because it is low season and they simply aren’t cooking for enough people to make it economically viable (it’s run separately to the hotel)
5,0 Okay
Pros: The hotel itself is nice but a ways from the tourist area. There are lots of very nice hotels in that area but also without heat. Might as well stay in that area and save a bunch of can fares.
Cons: I gave the hotel 2's across the board because I was rather upset with the whole booking. I pass through San Christabol a couple times a year. My wife was with me on this trip and she suffers in cold weather do to a severe injury. They advertise fireplaces in their booking information and that is the main reason I booked a room there. This area is in the mountains and is cold at night. I also included a note during booking to please have some wood available knowing it would be an extra charge which wasn't a problem. The first afternoon the young lady was telling me I would need to talk to her associate when he checked in later in the evening. When I spoke with him all I received was the run around. So we never had heat that evening. The second day I spoke with a gentleman who told me we could not have a fire in our room and the fireplace was only for display. Later that afternoon I showed up in reception with my Booking.com page and the rules of the hotel in hand. Right in their rules for the hotel it stated fires were to be started by employees of the hotel only. He finally contacted someone and showed up at are room around 8:00 and said if we wanted to move rooms he could get us a fire in another room. By this time my wife was already in bed trying to stay warm and the last thing she wanted to do was get up and pack. Very unsatisfied as the only reason we booked there was for the fireplace
7,1 Good
Pros: Original nice decor - friendly staff
Cons: It was cold, the only heating was a tiny stove and we had to pay extra for wood that only burned for 20-30 min. We had a room with a view on the patio but we couldn’t open the curtains otherwise everyone had a direct view into our room. Poor internet. Basic breakfast.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: just have been 1 night there.. received a lunch-box instead of the breakfast. well equipped kitchen. cheap private room close to the center.
Cons: wifi was not working well in our room. it was a bit noisy (people on the terrace, cars on the street).
7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good Location is also convenient
Cons: The kitchen access hours (10am to 9pm) are not convenient. The hostel rules are extremely strict and we have not been granted the access to the kitchen after 12pm on our check out day (even though we still had food there). Reception closes at 7pm, which is very early.... Last thing is that the shower was almost out of water so that I had to the common bathroom while paying for a private one...
7,5 Good
Cons: private bathroom not inside the room
9,7 Excellent
Pros: It's a cozy staff and I love that the kitchen is open for our use
4,2 Okay
Pros: I didn't like anything about the property. I apologize this BnB isn't to my liking.
Cons: The BnB has two properties. You check into one - and I was shown to the other property. About a three minute walk on a busy street.
6,7 Good
Pros: The breakfast we had was really tasty also the coffee was really good. I guess it is quite a budget option so it was quite cheap. If you would sleep in the main building I think this place would be better but our place was just not good.
Cons: The check-in process was not nice. The guy was sighing while checking us in. We were lead to another building which was just not a nice place. The floor in our room was dirty and we had to walk through the rain to get to to toilet at night. The floors were really slippy. For the last morning we were picked up by a shuttle so we wanted to have breakfast a little bit earlier. However they told us this was not possible. We find this weird because we paid for it and 7 AM is certainly not a strange time for breakfast. We found the rooms to be unpersonal without any equipment such as a drawer or a painting.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money. Best Wifi in Mexico so far.
Cons: Réception is not open 24/7, but they allow us to check-in at 22h. Your room (like ours) could be on a secondary location 100m away. Rooms are humid (the weather doesn't help ;)
7,9 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff, nice breakfast, good location, clean rooms. Was able to store my bags at no extra charge for the remainder of the day when I checked out.
Cons: My room was in the second building. The doors there don't have regular locks, but steel bars that you close and put a lock on. In and of itself this is fine, however, when you open and close these steel bars it makes such a loud, screeching sounds that the people next door could wake up from the sound. I know I did. There was no soap to wash your hands with at the toilets. No curtains either.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Room was basic but we had plenty of space for our stuff and it was comfortable enough. It's literally 3 minutes walking from the main pedestrian street in San Cristóbal. Very good breakfast.
Cons: The kitchen closes at 9pm, and must open later than 10am (we could never use it, because that was the latest we left the hostel during our stay and we always came back later). Breakfast, though very good, is slow to be served on days where the hostel is busy, so if you are going on a daytrip, plan some extra time for breakfast just in case.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice couple running this place. Super breakfast, quiet place just few blocks from the main square. Clean rooms .
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hosts, also speaking english, excellent breakfast, few blocks from the town centre, good WIFI.
