What are the pros of staying at Hôtel de Pavie?
Great location, fantastic restaurant, good rooms. Divine restaurant: TWO STARS! Wonderful setting in this beautiful French village. Outstanding location and unique decor and design. Superb property in the heart of the village. Tastefully decorated and superb service. Everything. Location, view from bar patio, staff’s help with booking wine tastings and dinners, room size, etc. Fab place to stay. Beautiful location, gorgeous room which just exudes quality and luxury. Friendly staff - special thanks to Kate who looked after us at breakfast. Also the valet and reception staff who were so smiley and so helpful! It is expensive but once you've committed might as well enjoy it! It was perfect for a treat for us and I'd love to visit again. The Bistro for dinner was absolutely delicious and amazing with our young children. Staff were amazing- so helpful and courteous. Room was really nice and position of hotel is outstanding. The Gastro restaurant was a great experience. Lovely. Great location on the terrace and excellent service. Everything! 5 star all the way! What are the cons of staying at Hôtel de Pavie?
Unfortunately our stay was too short. Very loud in our room from outside noise. A bit of a maize to get to the rooms. My wife and I thought the restaurant was overrated - but no flaws with the hotel. A bit hard to navigate to if with car, but once you find it, it has easy parking for valet - it was Google’s fault for taking down some very narrow and dead end streets! Maybe some more options for complimentary tea in the bedroom? The only option was green tea for us. Minor, minor thing! Breakfast was disappointing. No swimming Pool. Can't think of anything. Not a thing. Perfect!! Parking area are a little far away as there are some renovation going on when we are there. Not sure if that is normal. very very little. only small grumbles were sone teething problems with the room, that was newly built - eg the kettle socket didn’t work and took 2 days to fix. the terrace door was difficult to lock as newly painted. but that’s literally it - everything else was perfect and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. breakfast was poor, staff was slow. n/a. Staff is very unfriendly. They were 30 mins late in picking up our luggage. We had them picked up bec it involved 2 different elevators and multiple steps and my husband had a slip disc. despite scheduling this the day before, it wasn’t done and I didn’t get an apology from the receptionist. Instead she says “you won’t miss your train” very coyly. We had to rush to get to the train station with our rented car. room was a bit hot and air conditioning didn’t function properly. All restaurants and bar were closed and the room service is limited. So we were starving at 9:00pm. No creamer/ milk on the tea/coffee stand in the room. Modest gym equipment ( elliptical machine would be nice to have). I know the hotel and restaurant are separate but, I do wish we could have had Pavie wine as a part of our pairing with the dinner. . Other than that it was all perfect!
