Overview Reviews
Nestled among 90 acres of vineyards, our European style estate is the ideal environment for business and pleasure. Perfectly located in Sonoma County, the heart of California wine Country, just one hour north of San Francisco and 4 miles from Downtown Santa Rosa. You can enjoy hot items from our breakfast menu in the beautiful Vintners Inn Cafe. A bottle of wine will be in your room upon arrival. Adjacent to the Inn is the nationally acclaimed John Ash & Co. restaurant and The Front Room, our new Bar and Lounge. From the warm welcome to the Old Style Service, the ambience and the beautiful vineyard surroundings, we are confident youll have a memorable experience. This is also the perfect location to explore the wine appellations of Russian River, Dry Creek, Alexander and Sonoma Valleys.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Time of year perfect to be in 800 building with views of golden vineyards. The recreation facilities are VERY poor for such an upscale property, I’m a swimmer and pool is size of an oversized hot tub and room around it for only a few lounges. This is a HUGE mistake to not have a beautiful pool outside area in my opinion. Otherwise get a little highway noise but great location and nice rooms... also not sure if they have bathtubs but our room didn’t and I forgot to ask. If I can’t swim I soak.
Cons: See above
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The spa was amazing!! The pool was the perfect temperature and the couples massage was fabulous. The staff was so attentive to iur needs. The grounds are beautiful with the vines and olive trees and the fountain in the middle of thw courtyard.
Cons: Honestly, there is nothing that they could have done better. The spa was fantastic, the food at John Ash was amazing and the service all over the resort was world class.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Vintners Inn is such a lovely resort. You feel like you are in Italy when on the grounds. The rooms are spacious with nice balconies or patios. The restaurants on site were top notch. John Ash & Co food is AWESOME...one of the best meals ever. We were disappointed the fireplace was electric with fake flames and not gas. But overall we loved our stay and will be back for special occasions.
Cons: Electric fireplace, not gas so fake flames. Also no coffee maker in the rooms.
7,5 Good
Pros: When booking through booking.com they gave us the outdated rooms so be careful and ask for the updated ones. The staff was super helpful but our room was old and needed updating. The property was great and the food was delicious especially the breakfast ricotta lemon pancakes
Cons: Our room was old and dinghy

6,0 Good
Pros: The hotel looked nice and the location was convenient for our event. The staff were really friendly. The front desk staff even brought up sheets for our sofa bed and made it for us.
Cons: The matters was totally broken down on one side. It felt like I was sleeping in a hammock. But the other side was still kinda firm. The sofa bead was a joke. There were no sheets for it when we arrived just a blanket. Sheets also had stains on them.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Grounds were beautiful, well kept. Adjacent to a vineyard. Accessible for walks.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds of this Property were immaculately groomed and fountains, potted plants, and bushes were so attractive. The walkways meandered through property and included a lit Bocce Ball court and a walking trail. Our King Bedroom included a patio facing the vineyard accessed by an attractive doorway. Our room was nicely decorated and included two stuffed arm chairs for our comfort. We also had a credenza and a work desk with chair. There was plenty of room and the bathroom was very nicely appointed. We ate in their dining room which was beautifully lit with tiny lights and elegant décor. Food was fabulous and plenty of choices and excellent presentation. Every bit was delicious. We also ordered one breakfast through room service and our eggs benedict were perfect! Coffee hot and O.J. cold and flavorful. Complimentary bottle of wine & 2 waters. We would definitely stay again!
Cons: This is not really a dislike, for me the large bath was a little tall but my husband loved it. It was a nice oval soaking tub in the shower enclosure. They had grab bars for safety so that was easy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds and rooms

Pros: As I answered above the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. Staff were friendly.
Cons: The room we were in was very cold. The heating system did not work. When I told the check out person, her suggestion was to ask for a room in the main building next time. We also noticed small paint chips on the bathroom floor.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has a lot of architectural features not found at a hotel/motel chain. You know you aren't in a cookie cutter establishment. The staff is friendly and helpful. You feel like a guest, not just a customer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was my first stay at La Rose. Because of the solid construction, I never heard a peep from my neighbors. Great restaurants less than a block away as well as the SMART rail station. Friendly, helpful staff. I'll be back.
Cons: A step stool to be able to climb into the antique 4 poster bed would have been nice, but I managed without one.

Cons: Nothing really..we were impressed with the facility and location.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Room service
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff at this hotel treated us like royalty throughout our stay. Our every need was met, and service from check in, to room service, to placing our bags in a new room when we moved to a bigger room on our second night, to the outstanding server at breakfast each day, and to the shuttle driver to the airport was first rate. The rooms were clean, updated and spacious. Parking is ample and the hotel is in a nice area, next to a vineyard. Will absolutely stay next time we are in the area.
Cons: Only negative was the noisy parents and kids slamming their door on the deadbolt next door to us our first night. The hotel dealt with this effectively as soon as we complained. I have NO complaints about the hotel facilities or staff, which is rare. This place does everything right.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was very nice and comfortable. Very clean.
Cons: Prices were a little high for a Hilton Garden Inn. Charged for breakfast.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: I like its proximity to the Costco Shopping Center, and freeway - yet it is very quiet. I live North of Sta Rosa and every so often go there for Dr. appointments and shopping. It's a very convenient location for that. Also I like the garden

Cons: The hotel seemed old. Beds were not very comfortable. Carpet seemed old. Room service menu was over-priced.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was outstanding room was very nice
Cons: Food wasn't great - both of our chicken dishes were really over cooked but the manager and server were really good about taking it off our bill and offered us free cocktails to say sorry
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was well above average. Excellent, friendly service.
Cons: Located alongside the freeway, noise not an issue in room.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a newly built tower. Beautiful and new! Definitely nicer than your average hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location with walkable food and shopping.
Cons: We were in an ADA room. It was nice but there was no hook to put the shower at a regular height. So the shower hit our stomachs. It would be easy to install a hook. Then there would be the option of heights.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, newer, AC works great, tv is big, close proximity to the downtown area and freeway entrance. Front desk was welcoming...told me about the champagne toast and s'mores hours and I love how check in was quick

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms, staff and areas to relax such as lobby & pool.

Pros: Intimate and upscale. Firepit and pool areas were terrific. I am a repeat customer at this property and liked the renovations.
Cons: Staff in the restaurant -- short and rude. Bathroom sink clogged -- notified front desk.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent except, see below.
Cons: I didn’t like being charged a $25 destination fee without being told about it. I probably would have tried to remove it from my bill. Do you pay a destination fee if you arrive late at night and leave early the next morning?
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the rain shower shower head!

3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing, no frills, pool looked like mine in my back yard. No room service. No water in the room but hey you have coffee and a coffee machine in the room. Put drinks in the mini fridge and all our drinks froze. 731.00 two night was a joke. Paid taxes on a conference room which we didn’t use in fact paid taxes in every but the kitchen sink but I’m sure it was there hidden in others things we did t use. I would never stay or recommend the Marriott. Oh your bistro is nothing but an over priced Starbucks. I will stay with Hilton... for my next trip.

9,4 Excellent
Pros: Facility is nice, clean and staff especially the housekeeping was very friendly and available.

Pros: Salad and other produce was fresh. My friend ordered regular black iced tea and they brewed it fresh for her and gave her the extra in a cup to go.
Cons: Salad was a little tasteless and the salad dressing was extremely thick. The dressing did not easily poor from the small pitcher it was served in. Turkey sausage for breakfast lacked much flavor. Fruit substitution at breakfast was extremely small portion. The cut up fruit was served on the plate in a separate cup and the cup was about half empty.

Pros: The swimming pool and outdoor are is amazing! The staff is really great too.
3,8 Mediocre
Cons: We were displaced from our home in Windsor since the evacuation on 10/26/19. We were not able to return to our home due to smoke damage. The only thing we liked was that it was close to work and our son’s school. Parking was terrible, lots of noise, constant door slamming, staff was very loud in the hallways and early in the morning. People above us had 2 dogs and 2 cats..running back and forth continuously... I understand the need to travel with pets, but not at the discomfort of others guests. Asked the front desk to speak to them about the noise, was told that they allow pets. You would think that since we have stayed here for over 3 weeks, that they would want us to continue to be comfortable and stay here. If we had to stay here under any other circumstances..we would never stay again.
7,0 Good
Pros: The room was as expected. The hotel had a very big pool. We also ate a very good dinner.
Cons: We had to escape the Kincaid wild fire after evacuation orders before sunrise. We missed the breakfast.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything is bad. Worst experience EVER.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The staff at the check in counter was nice.
Cons: Empty water containers in the guest lounge from the time we checked in to the time we checked out, thin walls so we listened to the neighbors very loud argument on the phone along with her barking dogs all night long, less than desirable bed, some outlets didn’t work, and tiny shower my tall husband barely fit in. Glad we only stayed one night.
6,0 Good
Pros: Location

Pros: The location is very good - walking distance to downtown area.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location to walk to downtown. Very comfortable. Only complaint was that the Wifi is slow.
Cons: Wifi is slow.
7,7 Good
Pros: Beds were nice, room size was good.
Cons: The showers are horrible! Comes straight down from ceiling very high up with no water pressure and no door to close so water goes all over the bathroom!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great price for Santa Rosa, where hotels are very pricey. Good central location. Room is clean, bed very comfortable. Rooms have been recently remodeled.
Cons: I would have rated this hotel higher but the night we stayed the heater did not work. The receptionist was very good about coming to the room to see if she could get it functioning, but it did not start. She said they were having problems with their heating system and someone was coming the next day to begin repairs. My husband and I felt we should have been informed before paying and reserving a room that we would spend a very cold night with no heat.
7,0 Good
Pros: The room was clean, staff very friendly.
Cons: The first room I was assigned had not been cleaned at all. I was quickly given another room, though, and it was fine. The bed was a bit hard, but otherwise I enjoyed my quick business stay.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and helpful
Cons: nothing
7,0 Good
Pros: Clean room but no outlets near the bed.
Cons: Very noisy road. Had to sleep with ear plugs.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were modern and clean, the beds very comfortable, Illy coffee pod machine in room for espresso or coffee, fridge and flat screen TV. It is walking distance to The Naked Pig restaurant which is hands down the best breakfast place in town but very expensive. If you like cheap breakfast it is right next door to Adel’s Restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Cons: The rooms are a bit noisy from the cars on the street, this location seems like they upgraded a Super 8 or like hotel. Don’t let that scare you away. It is nice in the rooms and a deal for this town. There is an ice machine that looks like it was broken and left in the parking lot. Adding a box around it would change that appearance.
7,0 Good
Pros: No breakfast. Nice bathroom, comfortable bed.
Cons: No handles on some drawers, mini fridge leveled with paper and stuck in console with door removed - kind of tacky setup.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds. Clean property. Renovated.
Cons: Rain showers are gimmicky. I would prefer a standard shower head with strong water pressure.
6,0 Good
Pros: Location was very convenient for visiting relatives and downtown Santa Clara.
Cons: Our room had a small balcony with an exterior light that you could not shut off, and which glared into the room.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Shower was nice
Cons: Floor, Walls, and Counters were filthy

Pros: Not very fancy, but neat and clean. Great access to local attractions.

Pros: Simple but covered everything I needed
Cons: Breakfast was late one day.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and simple room for a good price.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very accommodating. Staff is nice and helpful.
6,5 Good
Pros: The hotel was very clean inside and out. There were also not many guests at the time of stay, so it was quiet which is always a plus. They served coffee and small breakfast in the morning.
Cons: The owners of the hotel were very paranoid and a little extreme. When I checked in the owner mentioned to not smoke in the room, which is obvious unless you paid for a smoking room. He then noticed that my boyfriend was smoking outside and reminded me to tell my boyfriend not to smoke in the room. I'm like dude, I'm 30 years old I understand. He then went on to say he wanted to hold a $100 deposit. That's when I got upset because no where on the site did it say that. He then said ok I will not, and only charged me $1. The next day I had things to attend to, so my boyfriend stayed in the hotel until checkout time at 11 am. Room service came at around 9:30am while he was still sleeping and just barged in. For one this is way before check out time and second, KNOCK! 11 am rolled around and I was a bit late to picking him up and the manager called and asked why he wasn't gone, he went to say she is running a bit late it will be another 10 mins. They called 5 mins later asking, then another 5 mins. I thought the hotel wasn't bad if you were paying $65-$70 a night and we paid $90. The owners were a bit ridiculous especially since they didn't have a lot of business in the first place. Overall not a bad stay though.
7,9 Good
Pros: Nothing fancy, but it's a clean hotel with reasonable prices!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The proprietor was really friendly and patient. The accommodations were very neat and clean. It had everything we needed, plus it was centrally located. Easy to get to all of the recommended wonderful cafes and restaurants and not far at all from the airport. As travelers, it was a good choice for our family. BTW, the hot water came on hot really quickly so we didn't waste water!
Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like.
7,1 Good
Pros: Room clean and comfortable. Great location.
Cons: Continental Breakfast mediocre.

Pros: Breakfast was fine. We liked that it was not noisy there. Close to restaurants and we were accommodated and were able to use our room on time to get to a wedding in Saint Helena....although that was far away. Thank you staff at the hotel!!!
Cons: It was fine........

Pros: The hotel had a gym (with multiple cardio machines and heavy weight), a great pool, coffee all day, and lots of parking. The toiletries were also surprisingly nice. Breakfast was of good quality for the hotel stars and expectations thereof.
Cons: The gym was in desperate need of attention. No water, no fan, seemed to have not been cleaned for a while. Pool house closed very early. I wanted to do dinner then come back to the hotel for a drink but it closed at 8pm! Crazy.

4,0 Okay
Pros: It was clean enough.
Cons: Yes... it felt like a so-so 2 star motel, but was marked as 3 star hotel. Outdoor entries, mediocre breakfast, broken shower rod, stained floor tiles, loud drunks waking us up each of the three nights after midnight.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Funkiness, nice smelling soaps.
Cons: Pool was not clean enough to go in.
4,0 Okay
Pros: it was available
Cons: The "new" decor (ugh), the bed, the lack of drapes (light came right into the room...) I used to stay often with my dog. I'll NEVER stay here again.
4,0 Okay
Pros: It was in a convenient location.
Cons: This does not seem like a three-star hotel. The staff was friendly and the bedding was clean, but overall this hotelis more like an old-fashioned motel, with a run-down appearance and furnishings.
6,0 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable, sheets were clean and soft. The shower worked well. The pool looked very nice (Did not get a chance to go in) The TV was a good size.
Cons: The breakfast did not match the 3 star rating of this hotel. Should be a 1.5 star breakfast.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Older motel which has been updated with contemporary room decor. Nice size room with refrigerator and microwave at no additional cost. Bath was a bit dated and air conditioning unit was loud but the charm of the room made up for it.
Cons: Hotel staff was not available when I called the front desk and put on hold for ten minutes. Walked over to the lobby only to stand there for another ten. Probably putting her call on hold and telling me she would be right with me would have been a nice.
3,0 Mediocre
Cons: no desk, impossible to catch up paperwork. Not acceptable for business travler
1,0 Poor
Cons: Bathroom dirty floor and tub. No lamps but bulbs sticking out of the walls. Right next to freeway. People are living there! Gross!

Pros: It had a room available on short notice. It was perfectly located, quiet and clean.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to freeway and clean. Not a great neighborhood and a pool would be nice, but can't complain,
Cons: Would have liked a pool to relax by in the afternoon.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the price. Clean, well appointed room. Had just had eye surgery and staff/owner, was accommodating for my ground floor needs. My room had protein snacks, juice and coffeemaker. Also fridge, ironing board and hair dryer. Comfortable and great value. Will certainly be staying there again.
7,0 Good
Pros: we were given a handicap room upon check in. as a disabled vet I appreciated it
Cons: the electric light near the beds had a loose connection creating a dangerous possibility. we informed the front desk about it, they just said it was fine and that WE weren't doing it right. we explained I have a background in electrical work
1,0 Poor
Pros: This was our go-to spot when our employees would stay overnight in the Santa Rosa/Rohnert Park area. However, on this particular stay, our employees were subjected to subpar treatment from the staff when a Credit Card Authorization form was not ready on file for their stay. Instead of treating them with kindness as any respectable hospitality professional would, they were treated as if they did not have the means to stay and looked down upon while the issue was sorted out. We have left positive reviews for Redwood Inn before; please disregard them. We will taking our business elsewhere from now on.

Pros: . Room was quiet and well away from roadway.
Cons: Though almost centrally located to downtown area, Santa Rosa Ave. can cause problems both arriving and departing due to traffic on the avenue.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room looks clean and nice. The beds were comfortable and clean. Nice coffee available with K-Cups provided. Bathroom was all ceramics and glass and felt clean. There was a microwave and mini fridge/freezer.
Cons: I found a small piece of cheese on the floor next to the night table. It was a little noisy outside, but I turned on the fan to drown that out.

Pros: Nothing completely way over priced. You got to be kidding me, $60 dollar at best. No military discounts, no breakfast in the morning. Quit frankly this establishment needs overtaken and reopened with a new outlook.
Cons: Nothing !

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, quiet, conveniently located. Working heated pool.
7,1 Good
Cons: Way overpriced for location/atmosphere. I expected a bit less busy/industrial like surroundings for the cost per night. No way to go for a walk in the morning and no decent restaurants close by. The hotel itself didn't really do anything wrong...it was clean...but not what I had hoped for on a wine country get away. Would not book again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived to check in and our room wasn't ready, so they upgraded us and got us right into a suite. The staff here is consistently lovely, and accommodating. Have stayed here before and will again!!!!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Good breakfast selection. Nice rooms. Staff was friendly
Cons: Coffee was weak.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Room was clean.
Cons: I was put in a handicapped room which I did not ask for and although I was one of the first check-ins of the day, the clerk refused to change me to a regular room. Shower got much of the bathroom floor wet. Room was tiny and AC was inadequate.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything!!
Cons: Nothing.
7,9 Good
Pros: Close to Santa Rosa
Cons: A little loud when people went by the door.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: the breakfast was amazing
Cons: This hotel was the dirtiest hotel I have ever experienced. It was not fairly represented in the pictures. Its under construction and my guess is that we got an old room-while still paying a premium price. This is the first time I have been unsatisfied.
6,0 Good
Pros: clean and comfortable once you got inside the room. Very quiet. Good breakfast value!
Cons: I got in at one in the morning and it felt a little scary going to to the back of the hotel facing the parking lot. Then there was paper stuck in the peep hole, which was shady. Elevators broken. In the morning light, it seemed much much nicer and clean.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Great breakfast buffet. Great rooms. Great parking. Great complementaries. Two complementary bottles of water.
Cons: I could not stay longer.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and great breakfast

4,6 Okay
Pros: Only the location
Cons: Pretty much everything People above us were pounding and stomping until 2am
9,2 Excellent
Pros: How pleasant the afternoon to evening shift front desk person was, informative and kind. Plus he went above and beyond. Plus the room was beautiful and comfortable. Plus, this was my first time of hotel experience.
Cons: It was good, but the lady in the morning was slightly rude. Also seemed a bit scamish...you'll have to see for yourself when you see her. Also, when the guy in the afternoon says the phone's don't work, but as was working when they called to wake up, to clean the room. I did not care, because I have a cellphone. But still. Integrity is everything. Also. I do not like how they were just trying to come in without knocking, because me and my girlfriend wasn't decent, and they've done that few times, plus the maid doesn't speak English so, they didn't understand, "hold on".
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: It was clean and everything worked well.
Cons: Customer Service was horrible.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Someone was always available at the desk to help; or came to the desk quickly; refrigerator; microwave
Cons: Entrance does not match street address. Entrance is around corner. Guessing old entrance was blocked off. No doors on address side. Made it very awkward dealing with Uber.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Good location. Close to shopping. But also close to a very bad neighborhood. Front desk was nice about giving showercurtain and towels.
Cons: Had to ask for a shower curtain and towels. Rats chittering all night in the wall behind our headboard. Very noisy guests. Toilet wasn't attached to the floor. Very dirty carpet. Room smelled horrible. Filthy sink.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff; clean rooms; flooring that's not carpeting but vinyl planks I think. This looks better and doesn't have the gross factor that motel carpeting can often have.
Cons: Not really anything. The beds were fairly comfortable - about what I'd expect from this type of lodging.

Pros: Very clean , quiet room. Beds very comfortable and staff was Helpful, friendly. Decorating to rebook here. Breakfast was good and we had more than enough to eat. Breakfast room was clean and cheerful. All and all, it was a good stay.
Cons: A sticky faucet but was fixed in morning by maintenance person.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Coffee was about the only plus.
Cons: Breakfast until 9:30, Half way through breakfast (9:30 sharp) they closed the door and turned out the lights and tv... Had no room service, had to make our own bed and get clean towels from lobby. Overall very poor service.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: The desk staff.
Cons: I sent you my review. The walls were thin like paper. Ceiling CO2 monitor and fire alarm and microwave vibrated when a walker went past the room or walked on the floor above. Two snorers behind the wall headboard: they snored in my ears. The room smelled terrible and obviously the fan filter wasn't changed. Both mornings I woke up from a headache and felt bad. Not in a very good area of Santa Rosa, CA. The hard boiled eggs at breakfast were dry and discolored at the end of the eggs, which were cut from a sealed plastic factory type bag: most likely BPA in the eggs from the plastic. The coffee was terrible and watered down. The parking lot smelled like poop.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: When I looked at the pics of the outside of the hotel I was surprised when we arrived the outside was not as nice as the pics on the internet. Looks a little rough on the outside. Inside was fine.

4,0 Okay
Pros: we didn't get breakfast
Cons: we had to evacuate at 5am and we were not notified. If I hadn't called down to the office we wouldn't have known we had to evacuate. That is very distressing. I called the motel 3 times before we left home and they said there shouldn't be any problems from the fire. I know the fire wasn't their fault but the fact that I had to call down to the office to see if there was a problem is very concerning.

Pros: Nice comfortable room

Pros: The location makes it very convenient not only for Santa Rosa city activities, but also for the coast as well as Sonoma County vineyards.
Cons: The room did not have a hair dryer or iron although both could be requested at the front desk, a bit inconvenient.

Pros: Meeting a lot of helping people. And. Being new to the area ..... I Love this Area of California and will retire here....!!!!r
Cons: To many forgotten people - left behind.....!!
5,4 Okay
Pros: Really pretty sub-par. We needed a place to stay in SR late at night for around $100, so this fit the bill, but it’s the kind of place where you really don’t want to touch anything. I guess what I liked was the price, however anywhere else in the country this is a $50 room.
Cons: Just didn’t get the feeling that things were very clean.

Pros: Hotel breakfast was nice, breakfast staff was helpful & friendly. They made waffles & quickly found tea when not on the counter. Nice little breakfast area.
Cons: spiders found in room. the staff advised us to 'be safe' at check-in! It made us feel that there was something to be wary of, not adequate parking near the room, we thought someone might break in the car. Furnishing were old/ugly. Noisy outside.
