Pros: Without doubt the very best B&B we have ever stayed in. The room was very spaceous and the bed very comfortable.A small fridge was provided on the balcony-from which the view was breathtaking, looking over the pool and wonderfully manicured gardens to the Mediterranean and yacht harbour in the distance! The bathroom was very clean and more than adequate in size, soft good towels also provided. Lots of cupboard space and tea/coffee facility provided. Good parking on site and also very peaceful and quiet. Valerie our hostess was always on hand to help with directions and general enquiries and was also very welcoming and generous with her time. The breakfast provided was possibly the most comprehensive and tasty we have ever experienced for a B&B. Valerie exceeded all our expectations with the food and beautiful presentation-it could not be faulted. The whole experience of our stay was simply wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable in a superbly beautiful environment. The property is only 5 minutes from supermarkets, shops and abundant restaurants and the beach and sea. Of course you are on the côte d'Azur with Saint Tropez 15/20 minutes away and Rayol-Candel-sur-Mer only 10 minutes away in the other direction. Highly recommended and will definately return and stay again in a blink of an eye! Merci encore Valerie.
10,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, spotless rooms, and hospitality without limits. A lovely, charming stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were lucky enough to be the only guests staying at the time and it was a lovely experience. Valerie and her family were so friendly and generous with their time and house, they truly did everything they could to make us feel welcome. The view from the double room with balcony is fantastic. We recommend taking a stroll down in the garden and taking a dip in the pool.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great views from the property. Philipp and Valerie are the owners and perfect hosts.

Cons: Absolutely nothing!
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The Owner, Valerie. Full with tips for restaurants, great. And ofcourse the location.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The property is in a very nice place. Hosts are taking a very good care of the guests, can recommend places to visit or to eat, but are not intrusive in case you like privacy. We got an amazing room with a spacious balcony and a perfect view. Great bathroom with daily changed towels, fridge in case you would like to have a snack anytime of the day, tea and coffee at your disposal. Breakfast could be served at the time you choose.

Pros: lovely boutique style rooms, entrance and dining area. The hostess was very nice and friendly.
Cons: The host was unpleasantly aggressive about my being unavoidably late. He said I should sleep elsewhere and wore a Putin t-shirt the next day! I felt like a criminal during my stay. The garden has a large plastic lawn and there's a noisy main road outside the hotel wall.

Cons: Not near enough to the beach
7,0 Good
Pros: we love the position and the staff were really great. It’s a pity, for international visitors that there is only French television chanels. One really big problem for us was the lack of a fridge in the room- it is very inconvenient to have to go down and up stairs every time one wants a cool drink.
Cons: As above

Pros: Good location, and a very quiet room despite being by the road. Loved the design of the room, the colours and the modernity, it felt fresh and spotlessly clean.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: A very nice family hotel! Beautiful view from the room, comfortable bed, silence and good sleep. Also, every day room cleaning and very nice personnel doing it. The coffee and breakfast were very good, quality products and a constant atention paid to guests. Christophe was always nice and helpful, offering good advice about restaurants, weather, routes etc. In the neighbourhood we found good restaurants for lunches and dinners. Also, the parking place was a big plus. Thank you!
Cons: Can't think of something serious. Maybe the smell of cleaning products, but this was not a big problem. And products can be changed.

4,6 Okay
Pros: Close to water. Reasonable size room.
Cons: It was run like an old folks home.Strict meal times and the food was dull tasteless and served soo fast it was frightening! One of the weirdest places I have ever stayed at.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Couldn’t get a better spot on the beach. All the staff that work here are friendly and some speak really good English which is great for us that don’t speak much French! Breakfast was lovely and room was nice.
Cons: Only that there is no elevator and to get to the top floor is via stairs with a Heavy suitcase. However the effort is worth it
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast at sea
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, food, staff
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location with the beach on the doorstep is great and the view of the sea from the room is nice. One can book the nicely laid out deckchairs for a fee and they give you great towels. Breakfast was decent and the staff attentive - it was nice to have it outside seated by the beach. Overall, a cosy nice hotel which looks good (not ugly like some of the neighbouring squat buildings).
Cons: Thin curtains so you'll need eye masks if you are sensitive to light.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully maintained and immaculately clean. Fantastic location with wonderful sea views and private beach. The food in the restaurant is outstanding. You can’t help but relax in this well managed family run hotel.
Cons: It would be great to have a mini bar or small fridge in the room so you can keep water etc. cold. That said, there is a brilliant bar On the terrace and room service is also available. Sometimes our room wasn’t made up until the afternoon which made retreating for a siesta tricky, although there is the option to indicate you don’t want your room serviced. Last time we stayed this wasn’t an issue but we were on a different floor. Despite these minor points, we really can’t fault anything and will definitely be going back again.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable air conditioned room with balcony and lovely sea views. sufficient wardrobe space with a safe. Very good continental breakfasts and good four course dinner in restaurant (on half board tariff). Staff are very pleasant and very helpful. Has garage facility but with limited spaces. Plenty of help with luggage to and from 2nd floor room. Excellent location directly on the beach.
Cons: Unfortunately does not have a lift although there is only three/four floors. There are no tea/coffee/drinking water facilities in the rooms.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Just about everything! Attentive and friendly service. Tasty and interesting menu and generous portions. We’ve stayed here before and will be back again soon.
Cons: Nothing

7,0 Good
Pros: Location was nice, with glances over the gulf and on the main road connecting Cavalaire with La Croix-Valmer. The rooms were neat and very clean. Mine had a balcony overlooking the main road and the sea. The staff was rather friendly, though not quite inclined to speak other than French. Good continental breakfast.
Cons: The whole building looks rather old and in many points in need of maintenance - e.g. cracks in the wallpaper and walls, old fittings, etc. Moreover, the window of my bedroom showed clear signs of housebreaking where the locks had probably been broken. Apparently, they were also never replaced, which let my bedroom feel not quite safe.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Lovely people running it, great room with balcony, very clean and comfortable for the str rating, great fresh breakfast, and amazing location, as just across the road is a magnificent beach. Free private parking, too. Would definitely stay here again. In fact we extended our stay, and thinking of booking again soon.
Cons: Leaving for home!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great position, very near the sea and neighbourhood shops. Welcoming staff and simple comfortable accommodation. Easy to find.

Pros: very good breakfast fro EUR 8.00 two pastries, bread and yoghurt and juice. A big jug of very good coffee, the owners were very accommodating.
Cons: My room was quite noisy as it faced the road, but the room itself was very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities. Great location being so close to Cavaliere Sur Mer.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, very close to the beach.

Pros: The availability and responsiveness of the staff was excellent.
Cons: It would have been good to have access to the bar in the evenings.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, just a couple minutes walk to the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was extremly friendly, the distance to the beach is negligible. If you look for a calm room, you should take one with a balcony to the hillside.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A very nice small hotel witth friendly staff and close to the beatiful beaches
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed ours stay. The hosts are very kind and always helpful, and the breakfast is very nice and light. The hotel is nice, clean, quiet and good value for money. The location is amazing, 1 min walk to the beach and loads of places to eat out within walking distance. We have really enjoyed our stay and we are definitely going to go back.
6,7 Good
Pros: Very Good breakfast
Cons: No facilities and very small bedrooms
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It's really really close to one of the calmest beaches in the area. The staff was very kind and helpful.
Cons: Inside the shower box there wasn't a place to put the shampoo and soap. The bathroom was clean and renewed, but it would be good to have this place to put the stuff while on the shower. All other things were very good. If there was a frigobar or place for us to storage food (maybe a microwave too) it would be perfect! And we could save some money.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We were very well looked after throughout our stay: the management and staff were friendly and efficient; the room was bright and sunny and welcoming; breakfast was delicious.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Rayol is beautifull. For the region the price is reasonable. Lovely clean hotel with very nice staff. Spaces room even with the extra bed for my child. Parking on site. Close to the beach, just take the monumental staircase. Bakery and small supermarket at the beginning of the street (up hill). There is an old railway walking trail right next to the hotel, which also goes to the beach at Canadel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, breakfast, swimming pool
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location & facilities
Cons: Standard of breakfast food sometimes poor
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in the lovely garden area, in a few minutes you can reach the beach. We stayed in the room with the big terrasse with a very nice view to the sea. Even though the beach of the hotel was fully booked, we found a place an the private beach next to the hotel territory with a nice bar and a restaurant.
Cons: The breakfast could be better provided the price we paid.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely views from all the rooms & good pool area. Very helpful staff. It’s in a lovely location, not too far from the beach & the area is quite quiet compared to other parts of the South of France.
Cons: Their restaurant. There’s a good one down at the beach but their main one at their sister hotel next door is ludicrously expensive and not worth it. 45 Euros for a main course??!! And it’s not even Michelin class.
6,7 Good
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Nice view over the swimming pool and sea.
Cons: The service was not worth a 3 star hotel and the price we paid for our stay. We informed the hotel that it was our honeymoon (both when we booked and upon our arrival). To our disappointment, they didn’t offer any special attention or kind gesture or words, which would have been greatly appreciated considering that the bad weather prevented us from enjoying the relaxing experience the hotel could offer (pool and outdoor areas). After two days of rain, the sun finally came out. We looked forward to a breakfast on the outside terrasse. Unfortunately, although several customers had shown interest in seating there, the staff had not even taken time to dry the tables and seats, which we had to do ourselves. Poorly isolated doors. We could hear noise from the stairs and from the breakfast room from our bedroom. Staff changing all the time, and looking at us inquisitively each time we passed the reception , as of we were not customers of the hotel.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very good and convenient
Cons: The food in the main restaurant was very much below standard for this quality of hotel and a big disappointment. The specialty bourride and aioli dishes were dreadful and the latter was sent back. The pool food was very limited, dull and child oriented. We did not try the beach restaurant as it was difficult to get to for us old folk due the general shortage of external stair handrails.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely two night trip where we enjoyed the facilities of the hotel including the beach and lovely restaurants.
7,5 Good
Cons: The worst coffee....
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent — a bit of everything you could want. The private terrace was perfect for us and our small child. Reception staff were extremely kind and helpful. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The restaurants at the pool and beach offer slightly mediocre food for very inflated prices. Given how excellent the breakfast is, it’s a shame that the same can’t be said for finding lunch and dinner on site.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My husband really liked the omelette and the chef involvement in its preparation I liked the fresh fruit salad [orange and grapefruit] and the freshly squeezed juice The bread was very good and included a dark brown seeded variety which you don't always get in France. We found the service and attention to detail in all of the restaurants exceeded our expectations .The food in L'Escalet was superb .It was both delicate and spicy and innovative .I am very fussy . We loved the sense of security ,the beach ,being able to sleep with the windows open with the sound of the sea .Your staff are great .
Cons: We are old fashioned and really like a paper newspaper .Unfortunately we weren't able to get an english newspaper on the first morning .I appreciate that there is an app for 4000 new streams but the London Times wasn't amongst them.We read the NY times and the London Times when we are abroad and we go looking for a newspaper every day .Minor but important to us .
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beach, pool
Cons: The food at the beach restaurant was not worth the money. The location was great. At the pool was a lady working who loves to kill guests nerves, if a sun bed or sun shade is not in line with her expectations. She fighted with me for 5 cm to keep distance to the next empty sun bed. A strange reservation policy there too. Sun beds where reserved the whole day without guests showing up...

Overview Reviews
Located in Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer (Le Rayol), La Residence du Bailli is a 3-minute walk from Le Rayol Beach and 8 minutes by foot from Domaine du Rayol. Free self parking is available onsite.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay for a few days, beautiful views from the balcony. Had everything we needed. Reception staff are very polite.
Cons: A little tricky to find the reception. Beds are very hard. We had to sleep on the sofa because our 18 month old son had the bedroom, which would had been ok if it was an actual double pull out bed and not two single mattresses... just a though if there are 2 couples staying there.
7,9 Good
Pros: Adequate kitchen. Clean room. Use of free washer and dryer. The beach was small but beautiful.
Cons: One window did not have any curtains/cover so the sun woke our children sleeping on the sofa bed extra early.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and value for money.
Cons: I would have liked a proper oven
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location! Stayed in apartment no 1 on the ground floor. It had ocean view (not as much as the upper floors) and a nice outdoor space with shade, dining space and two sun beds. WiFi and air conditioning was very good and the apartment was fully equipped. Always easy to find parking next to the apartment. We were only 45 steps downstairs from the beach. The Residence shares reception with Terrasses du Bailli, which is located closer to the town. The little town of Rayol is just 255 steps upstairs and has a fully stocked supermarket, two bakery’s, a butcher and several dining options (we had a great meal at Maurin des maures). You can easily walk to the local botanical garden, which is well worth a visit (you can buy discounted tickets at the hotel reception). The garden has a really nice cafe.
Cons: Not anything significant. However, on booking I had not noticed that end-cleaning was not included in the price and I find this strange when you consider the price.
7,5 Good
Pros: Our appartement was open to the beautiful garden. Quite some stepps downstairs was the beach. Not so easy to make a walk as the wole area is hilly. The restaurant Morins des Maures is great. We would come back in may or september. Absolutly great nature
Cons: Very hilly.
