6,3 Good
Cons: Was assigned a room with humidity evident by the room paint stained and tearing
8,3 Excellent
Pros: No hot water in the shower which the front desk wasn’t really concerned about. The woman said she would send maintenance up to fix it, but that never happened. The restaurant staff were great. Food and drinks were very overpriced. If you walk out the door there are a bunch omg great little restaurants for much less money. The roof top pool was very cool. It was close most of one of the days we were there for cleaning. It would be better if that was done in the evening. The location is perfect to explore the Malecón.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, good food, walkable location, very clean, friendly staff
Cons: Our room was under the gym and we were awoken at 5am to a person on the treadmill, it sounded like a strong subwoofer in our room. Knowing this was a problem, the hotel moved us to a different room to let us sleep (after 3 phone calls and a visit to the front desk finally demanding a move). They gave us free breakfast for our trouble, around $25. It's a know problem for them, but they take the risk knowing the odds of someone using the treadmill in the 24 hr gym is low.
7,5 Good

Pros: The location is excellent! The view from the room.
Cons: The pool is always very crowded. The breakfast could be better stacked.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great room in a great location. Ninth floor spa was nice. Lots of restaurants on the boardwalk near the hotel.
Cons: Issues at check in that should have been avoided considering I had a reservation for a specific type of room. Reserved a deluxe room with two queen beds for my adult daughter and me. They tried to put us in a smaller room with a king bed and a roll away. Eventually got it worked out but the experience was frustrating.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: New, very friendly staff. Nicer than Oro Verde. I will stay here the next time I'm in Guayaquil.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything
7,1 Good
Cons: A little disappointed about the airport free service. Not a big money to take taxi from airport to the hotel, but shall do what you advertise at booking.com. Not put ad there but instead saying ‘you need to take taxi on your own as our car is under repairing’ after booking. This is not the spirit of a 5 star hotel. Do what you say, otherwise better amend your ad at Booking.com.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Most welcoming and helpful hotel staff!
Cons: Was most pleased with everything.
7,6 Good
Pros: Good service and very clean.
Cons: Kitchen is open until 10:30pm so if you flight arrives there after that then you will starve until the next day. The shuttle service starts at 6:15 am which means if you have a flight earlier than that then you must take a taxi in which can not be charged to the room since they dont do that. So make sure you have cash at hand cab ride toairport is approx $6.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was exemplary. They will bend over backwards to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I wouldn't consider any other hotel in Guayaquil . Really make you feel appreciated .
Cons: Nothing, all good
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I live in Cuenca, Ecuador and flights from Guayaquil are frequently scheduled to leave in the early morning, or arrive late at night. The Holiday Inn is the easiest place to stay because it's so close to the airport. It's only thee or four hundred yards from the airport. You can get up in the morning at the last minute to catch a flight. There's no worry about traffic. If you arrive at the airlport late at night you'll be checking into the hotel in about five minutes after passing through customs.
Cons: I think the hotel is pretty pricey for Guayaquil, but the convenient location makes it worthwhile, and you don't have to pay for a taxi. Breakfast is also pricey, but I find that at the hours I usually leave Guayaquil, it's easier to eat breakfast at the airport.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: rooms internet cleanliness bathrooms check in check out
Cons: Service in the restaurant Service on the seventh floor
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel walking distance to the Airport. Great breakfast!
Cons: Nothing in particular.
5,0 Okay
Cons: The sound isolation is very bad, it seems like you sleep in the middle of a busy road. The interior design of the room is not what you are expecting from a 5 star hotel.besides that, there was a gap between a plint and the wall in the step-in shower, so when taking a shower, water was flowing in the room.I complained however nothing was done
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location for an overnight transit, shuttle availability, check-in friendliness, the pool & surroundings plus the restaurant for dinner and continental breakfast selection.
Cons: It would have been good to be able to fill reusable drinking bottles with water.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Close to airport and clean
Cons: Lights didn’t work with my card. Noisy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The pool was amazing and at night it was heated and turned groovy colours. The restaurant was excellent and staff very helpful.

Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and clean room, perfect for an overnight stop-over
Cons: Breakfast was tasty but definetely overprized
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is wonderfully convenient for people arriving by air at night - can't beat it and they were there with pick up service right on time. The breakfast was very good, and we found the staff across the board to be helpful and pleasant.
Cons: My husband showered in the morning and couldn't get hot water. Not sure if this happens often or was just a fluke.

Pros: We were in the hotel only one nigth but I can say that the service in general in very good .
7,7 Good
Cons: This hotel staff has the strange idea that calling your room multiple times to ask if you need anything is a good idea. It is not! Twice they woke me. I asked that they stop calling the room but they did not stop. I had to unplug the phone.

Cons: The room was a bit old. Air in the room not so fresh. There was no ventilator in the bathroom. Cocktails not very professionally/tasteful so we had no appetite to order more cocktails after tasting one. Food in the hotel is nothing special.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fast wifi. Clean rooms. Nice pool. Good happy hour. Friendly staff. Prompt shuttle to/from the airport. Excellent buffet breakfast.
Cons: Paid for a deluxe queen room as a treat after a lot of traveling. Put in a room with two beds, doesn’t exactly feel like a deluxe room when the extra bed takes up the extra space. Also no bathrobes as advertised.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good clean hotel, nice restaurant with plenty of choice on the menu. Beautiful pool area although we didn’t get a chance to use it. Room spacious, comfortable and clean. Great location, Short taxi ride to airport and just steps away from cathedral and iguana park.
Cons: We asked about the airport shuttle but staff seemed reluctant to let us go on it, not really sure why, maybe a language barrier, we ended up getting a taxi at the exact same time that the shuttle left!

Pros: I had a great stay at the Hotel Palace Guayaquil, I actually stayed there on two separate occasions during my trip to Ecuador. For my first stay I requested a quiet room on the top floor, and got just that - a really huge room with lots of amenities. The sound proofing of the window was just excellent, I couldn't hear a peep from the traffic noise of central Guayaquil outside. The complimentary cocktail upon arrival was most welcome, and the onsite restaurant cooked up some lovely food and an ubiquitous breakfast each morning. Reception staff were highly professional, and really accommodating on my second stay with them when they changed my room due to noisy neighbours. Thank you for a great and very comfortable stay!

Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect hostel for one night stopover. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very attentive and welcoming when we arrived early morning to the hostel, it is located very close to the airport and just a short bus ride away. we left our laggage at the reception with no additional cost. The staff was very helpful in giving local tips, helping with printing necessary papers. There is a laundry place at the begining of the block (3$ a basket). The place is very nice and clean, our room was cosy, the bed was very comfortable, two pillows each and white spotless sheets, two fans (ceiling and wall-mounted), many electric sockets and even 2 usb sockets. It was not hot over night. Towels and soap were provided. The window had a mosquito net. The shared shower was good, great pressure and hot water. Nice breakfast was available for additional 2$ per person. Overall great value for money. In summary we enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay close to the airport!
Cons: Wifi is working good only at the reception, at other parts it is sometimes very slow (did not work in our room).
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff and clean room, comfortable bed, good kitchen and lots of good food options nearby
Cons: . Low rating on value as we have to pay $1 a day for baggage storage - never come across this before in 10 months of travelling and I feel it should be a free service to paying customers.
7,9 Good
Pros: Staff were awesome, super friendly and helpful. Good wifi, $5 taxi from the airport and bus station. Bed was super comfy.
Cons: My dorm was right beside reception, its super loud and we were all woken up at 6am to the cleaning lady chatting really loudly with someone outside. The fan didn't work in the room, just made a tonne of noise. the little paddling pool was pretty gross when I first arrived but they did clean it while I was there.

Cons: Everything was great!
7,1 Good
Pros: Staff very helpful, can't remember the guys name , but he booked us a taxi, printed boaridng passes and ordered food for us in one night. He was great in general.
Cons: WiFi was dog rough, kept coming and going, wouldn't really reach room and was very dodge, but sure look. Wasn't any cups at the kitchen, had to keep asking the front desk for some anytime I wanted to make my own cup of tea for a cup. Didn't really know what was going on with food in the kitchen, wasn't any clear place to leave the food, we left our food in the corner of the shelf away from everything else but some of our food was gone the next day. Maybe if they provided a few baskets or labels so that people would know not to take? Plugs in the room we're a bit dodge.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Window view. Many restaurants and juice bars within walking distance. City Mall approximately 1 mile. Cold cervesas in the lobby.
Cons: WiFi was weak or non-existent on my room. Backpacker kids were sometimes noisy at night.

Cons: Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and good value at $2.

Cons: The pool had plastic and trash floating in it and the hot tub was a greenish yellow color. Maintenance could be improved in the common areas.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: All of the staff that we encountered were very helpful and friendly; the room was quiet and comfortable; nice selection of food on the menu.
Cons: Perhaps some quality control on some food items is needed. Some of our food arrived nearly room temperature; some of the cheese on the buffet table had mold; when brought to the attention of the server, the cheese platters were removed.
7,5 Good
Pros: A lot of options
Cons: Expensive
4,2 Okay
Cons: Breakfast expensive
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to airport, which is what we were looking for. Staff was great and took very good care of us. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the restaurant was very good
Cons: Not much to do in the immediate area, but that is ok since we only used it for an overnight layover.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very secure environment and is clean , the cleaning lady Christina was always helping to keep a spotless room . The front night manager has excellent people skills, Bolivar went out of the way with helping me on my late check out. Kuddos to those 2 persons
Cons: For a hilton hotel chain , I took the chance too work from my room . My job represents considerable amounts of money while i’m connected to the internet. Due to the horrible internet connection I had to cancel webinars and important online meetings. Not suitable for business environments sorry but that was a plus for me .

Pros: Great run down of the places to go and not go. The recommendation for food was great! Breakfast was nice. Good place if you have to stay in Guayaquil like we did for the Galapagos.
Cons: Floor was not clean when we arrived. Wifi was not good
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Security, welcoming and efficient staff, comfy beds, excellent balcony views, close for walking to Las Penas, Malecon, historical sites. Love it, have stayed here at least twice a year since 2013.
Cons: No negatives
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Late check out, excellent efficient staff, breakfast eggs/ham to order, balcony view, cleanest/best equipped hostal community kitchen I have ever seen, AC, comfy beds, security, location to Malecon, historical sites. Have been stayed here 6 times since 2013. I give it 5 stars!
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Really nice, modern and spacious property!
Cons: A bit noisy because of the streets right in front.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Our flight got in late and the driver found us right off the bat and got us in without any delay. A very friendly man, as were all the staff. The breakfast was simple (eggs and toast), but nice. The location was about a 7-8 minute walk from the iguana park and downtown boardwalk. A vegetarian restaurant was next door.
Cons: The bathroom was a little small.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Especially liked the staff who were proactive in providing information. Room was large and quiet but a bit stuffy, although we are talking about the equator. Inner city location made opening the balcony door unfeasible. Great to get genuine hot water in the shower. Pretty decent breakfast too.
Cons: Wasn't much that worried us apart from the city's humidity, but not much a hotel can do about that. Traffic noise was just a by-product of us choosing to stay in the CBD.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kind and helpful, they spoke English. Location was good and central and we had access to the balcony! WiFi was fast and the breakfast was tasty. Also, convenient and cheap laundry service!
Cons: The windows don’t quite prevent the street noise.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Central location
Cons: Very very loudly in the room because of the big street close by.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It’s central location and that it had a kitchen and fridge. Also the staff were very friendly. One night when there was an earthquake (epicentre was Peru) staff were extremely calm at getting all guests out to the ground floor and then waiting to it was OK to return. This was very well done- excellent work.
Cons: The road noise was considerable, but as a Central location this would be hard to avoid.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It is a very nice hotel in the centre of Guayaquil with a lovely breakfast and a very supportive staff.
Cons: The taxi organised by the hotel had 1 hour delay, (the company’s fault), so best to take a taxi at the airport with the rate discussed ahead by the hotel

Pros: I was bumped up to a bigger room.
Cons: That fir the price the breakfast should of been included. Coffee pit in room was cracked. Called front desk, they didn’t speak English and nothing was done.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect - about 20min walk to the Malecon2000 and 10min walk to the university district, a great place to hang out in the evening and absorb the Guayaquil atmosphere.
Cons: We got upgraded to the Junoir Suit, but the room although large was very basic (coudn't make tea, only coffee machine). To get enough drinking water we needed to buy bottles from a local store.
6,3 Good
Pros: The bed was extra comfy
Cons: The room they ‘upgraded’ us to was right next to the road and it was very noisy (for all those light sleepers like me)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The had a personal taxi service that showed us around & even gave us tips to the city & they were all very nice never overcharged us for the taxi service!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Top hotel in Guayaquil downtown! It's a kind of Art Gallery, not just a 4 star hotel! Room immaculate with all kind of facilities, 5 star room! No louds from the busy street down! Very kind personnel, the hotel is 15 minutes walk from the Malecon 2000 and 30 minutes from Barrio Las Penas! After dusk and particularly at night, the street sorrounding are not safe, so is preferably better taking a taxi. All in all a very nice place where staying in Guayaquil! Well recommended!

Pros: Very clean Hotel. My wife arrived several hours before I did and they let her have the room without the Visa Card which was very nice and professional. It is in an area of the City that we have many places to visit.
Cons: The door would not clock when you shut the door but they fixed in good time.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Bed very comfortable. Hot water for shower... excellent.
Cons: Could use a little upgrading. Some painting and carpet in the hallways. Ask for room away from street. Facing street is very noisy being a main shopping area.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The room was clean and large. It was a perfect resting place before an extremely difficult trip back to Hawai'i.
Cons: The shower never really warmed up which was bad on cold mornings but great after taking the double decker bus when it was super hot in Guayaquil.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice room and a good hot shower. The staff was excellent.
Cons: That advertised a happy hour that is not available nor is there any dinner available in the evening. Downtown Guayaquil still seems a little less safe that I feel comfortable with.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, good internet, good location, helpful staff.
Cons: Average breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is high calibre and very good value. Its location is in a safe area of the city with good shopping close by and surrounded by many restaurants. The staff were very friendly and professional.

7,9 Good
Pros: Close to airport
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and the staff was very attentive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The bed was a bit too firm.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The mini chocolates they give each day.
Cons: I did not like the breakfast, there were not many options and the options that were available were of poor quality. The staff, for instance the doorman, were not as attentive or amable as the one from Galeria or Ramada. The doorman in La Galeria would always greet people and make sure they are safe when getting into a taxi and even walking around the hotel. The airport shuttle, which is included in the 1,210.18 dollars that I paid for this hotel, was unable to take my mother and I to the airport just because we were half an hour late. The bellman told us we would have to take a taxi, meanwhile the airpot shuttle was right there in front of my eyes. When a situation similar to this occurred in La Galeria Man-Ging, the hotel paid for the taxi, Oro Verde, however, did not. I am very dissatisfied with my experience in this hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Shower
Cons: The hotel is a bit pricey
7,1 Good
Pros: the Rooms and spa
Cons: The staff in the front desk they look at you like you going to steal something it was a group of 4 rooms we book spend like 3,000 . I like the hilton colon
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Really liked the authentic Ecuadorian feel of the place all the staff were dressed in traditional clothing. The place had a lot of olde world charm. The staff were very good at attending to all our needs. The rooms were very spacious and most had a separate living space.
Cons: the mattresses were rather hard.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet was great, the complimentary chocolates were a very nice touch. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Pros: Staff! Hotel itself! Shower and toiletries!
Cons: That we didn't get to stay there long enough to enjoy all of the amenities!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything good, nice room, very good service, good food in the restaurant.
Cons: Tiny pool, overcrowded with children, hotel isn’t in the nicest part of town, far from the Malecon
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We have visited every year for 30 years and it is like coming home to our beloved Oro Verde. Thanks! The consistent staff, especially Nevil as the doorman and xavier, the clublevel attendant. Also the bar ladies.
Cons: A bit noisy due to refurbishing

Pros: Breakfast was good that´s all
Cons: the receptionist was not polite, my room was not ready at the time I arrived 3pm the made me and my family wait until it was clean, nobody said to me or my family welcome, nobody explained the schedule set up for breakfast, or the policies of the hotel, the bathroom was too small and also the tv, the menu at LA CANOA was very expensive
8,8 Excellent

Cons: Not the best area to go out at night
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean
Cons: The breakfast was not so good. Old bread and the scrambled eggs have not been good at all
8,5 Excellent
Pros: pros:felt very safe, staff was very pleasant, restaurant food was good, good plumbing (rare in Ecuador), great location, excellent wifi signal, tv
Cons: Cons: beds were super hard, I actually was sore after my stay, dated rooms with musty smell, closets smelled bad, feet were black if walked barefoot in room. Was charged $40 more a day for one person ( expensive)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is nice and efficient, so much that we stayed there again in the end of the trip. The main reason to go back was the restaurant!
Cons: The parking lot was a little cramped, but not bad.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is very good. They used to have more selections in the past.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a nice place, close to the Malecón, in front of a square. It is large and has a very good restaurant (La Canoa) that is open for 24hrs! This makes things quite easy. Staff is friendly, breakfast is very good, they have parking beside de hotel.
Cons: The hotel is a large building with many rooms, so its a bit impersonal. The restaurant, although very good and nice, is a little expensive.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located 2 blocks from Malacon and 20 minutes from Las Penas.
Cons: The shower was not practical.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic, welcoming and helpful staff. Great decor and lots of interesting things to look at. Breakfast was better than we expected, with fresh fruit, juice and cereal and toast, as well as coffee. The room was safe and secure.
Cons: It was very noisy and a lot of light as our room (The White Room)overlooked the main street and boardwalk. This is not a complaint, just a fact of being so well located.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff, spacious bathroom, fair sized beds, towel provisions..this is definately not something i've found in alot of hostels, also the breakfast was awesome.
Cons: Stairs
7,9 Good
Pros: Good location & a beautiful old building. We stayed in a ‘boutique hotel double room’ - perfectly nice but definitely had more of a hostel vibe. Basic breakfast (you have to pay to add anything beyond toast).
Cons: Veggie friendly restaurant was jokingly slow service and pretty small portions when the food arrived.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy great location
Cons: Perfect
6,3 Good
Pros: The location is good, the room is spacious and some of the decorations are nice
Cons: The bathroom is dated, although away from the roads noise we were close to the kitchen which was very noisy. Was made to pay extra for my partner despite booking for two. Also have to pay extra for a basic breakfast although it is meant to be included.
6,7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was simple but fine and served in good surroundings. Hotel is a nice, old building located directly across from the Malecon. This part of town is business oriented so it was kind of quiet after-hours.
Cons: The mattress sat on a platform much wider than the mattress, so getting in and out meant crawling across the platform to reach the mattress. Bathroom was "old world" and looked it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in a 8 bed dorm with a bathroom inside, it was clean, wifi was good, staff friendly and helpful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice to stay in an 8 bed dorm with a bit of space, most hostels cram in as many beds as possible but this one was lovely and spacious so you don't feel like you're living on top of each other and it had the best views in the house. Also the breakfast was a nice surprise, I was expecting the standard cheap bread and jam but this quality stuff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: Nothing
