Cons: I did not like the breakfast, there were not many options and the options that were available were of poor quality. The staff, for instance the doorman, were not as attentive or amable as the one from Galeria or Ramada. The doorman in La Galeria would always greet people and make sure they are safe when getting into a taxi and even walking around the hotel. In all honesty, no vale la pena porque ni la piscina es la gran cosa. La piscina de la Ramada es mucho mejor y mas grande. Mi primera y ultima vez que gasto dinero alli. La comida muy cara y dan muy poquito. En La Galeria, costaba menos y dieron suifciente y mejor calidad de comida. The airport shuttle, which is included in the 1,210.18 dollars that I paid for this hotel, was unable to take my mother and I to the airport just because we were half an hour late. The bellman told us we would have to take a taxi, meanwhile the airpot shuttle was right there in front of my eyes. When a situation similar to this occurred in La Galeria Man-Ging, the hotel paid for the taxi, Oro Verde, however, did not. I am very dissatisfied with my experience in this hotel.

Pros: Really liked the authentic Ecuadorian feel of the place all the staff were dressed in traditional clothing. The place had a lot of olde world charm. The staff were very good at attending to all our needs. The rooms were very spacious and most had a separate living space.

Cons: the mattresses were rather hard.

Pros: I had a great stay at the Hotel Palace Guayaquil, I actually stayed there on two separate occasions during my trip to Ecuador. For my first stay I requested a quiet room on the top floor, and got just that - a really huge room with lots of amenities. The sound proofing of the window was just excellent, I couldn't hear a peep from the traffic noise of central Guayaquil outside. The complimentary cocktail upon arrival was most welcome, and the onsite restaurant cooked up some lovely food and an ubiquitous breakfast each morning. Reception staff were highly professional, and really accommodating on my second stay with them when they changed my room due to noisy neighbours. Thank you for a great and very comfortable stay!

Pros: The hotel has a long history and there are old pictures in the hotel which makes me feel good. The bed is really comfortable.

Cons: Breakfast bad. The wash basin is small. The bathtub’s sewer system works with a Jam, the water does not go down. there are few charging plugs and they ware hidden behind the bed tables.

Cons: the receptionist was not polite, my room was not ready at the time I arrived 3pm the made me and my family wait until it was clean, nobody said to me or my family welcome, nobody explained the schedule set up for breakfast, or the policies of the hotel, the bathroom was too small and also the tv, the menu at LA CANOA was very expensive

Cons: Cons: beds were super hard, I actually was sore after my stay, dated rooms with musty smell, closets smelled bad, feet were black if walked barefoot in room. Was charged $40 more a day for one person ( expensive)

Pros: The hotel is nice and efficient, so much that we stayed there again in the end of the trip. The main reason to go back was the restaurant!

Pros: The hotel is in a nice place, close to the Malecón, in front of a square. It is large and has a very good restaurant (La Canoa) that is open for 24hrs! This makes things quite easy. Staff is friendly, breakfast is very good, they have parking beside de hotel.

Pros: Fantastic, welcoming and helpful staff. Great decor and lots of interesting things to look at. Breakfast was better than we expected, with fresh fruit, juice and cereal and toast, as well as coffee. The room was safe and secure.

Cons: It was very noisy and a lot of light as our room (The White Room)overlooked the main street and boardwalk. This is not a complaint, just a fact of being so well located.

Pros: Good location & a beautiful old building. We stayed in a ‘boutique hotel double room’ - perfectly nice but definitely had more of a hostel vibe. Basic breakfast (you have to pay to add anything beyond toast).

Pros: Breakfast was simple but fine and served in good surroundings. Hotel is a nice, old building located directly across from the Malecon. This part of town is business oriented so it was kind of quiet after-hours.

Cons: The mattress sat on a platform much wider than the mattress, so getting in and out meant crawling across the platform to reach the mattress. Bathroom was "old world" and looked it.

Pros: I stayed in a 8 bed dorm with a bathroom inside, it was clean, wifi was good, staff friendly and helpful.

Pros: Really nice to stay in an 8 bed dorm with a bit of space, most hostels cram in as many beds as possible but this one was lovely and spacious so you don't feel like you're living on top of each other and it had the best views in the house. Also the breakfast was a nice surprise, I was expecting the standard cheap bread and jam but this quality stuff.
