It was very clean and close to the subway, which made the trip much easier. The staff were very friendly. It rained Wednesday and we didn’t feel like going out for dinner. They have take out menus at the front desk. When we couldn’t decide between two, the front desk woman was kind enough to give us her true opinion on the restaurants. We took her suggestion and we’re very happy with our meal. Breakfast is very basic, but good to get you started in the morning. If you want something else there is a deli and a cafe near the entrance to the subway. Loved the view from the roof area. We checked it out in the morning and at night. I got up early on the last day to watch the sunrise over the city.
The only problems we had were the noise. Our room was on the side of 21st street so you could hear a lot of the traffic and emergency vehicle sirens throughout the night. My friend had an issue with the AC making a weird noise, but if we turned it off it got too stuffy and hot in the room. We just ended up using our noise canceling headphones so not too big of a deal. I would still recommend this hotel to my friends and family that don’t want to stay in Manhattan or are budget conscious.
Central location. Very Clean. Friendly staff.
Nice room with plenty of space. Great location, just a 2 minute walk to the subway then 10 minutes into Manhattan. The roof top terrace has a great view of Manhattan. Almost half the price of any Manhattan hotel I found for the same dates.
The door into the room has gaps around the edge that let light in, I prefer a fully dark room.
Clean and well run hotel. Very close to subway. Good sized room and breakfast included
Aircon unit quite noisy. Also a bit of traffic noise.
