Pros: Staff were a delight and the ambience was incredible. One of the loveliest places I’ve ever stayed in. Perfect setting. Road access could and should be improved.
Cons: Road access put me off going out of the property in the dark, a real issue for us.

This environment-friendly farmhouse has won the Green Key and offers spacious gardens and country-style accommodation. The main farmhouse of the property offers rooms and suites with LCD TV and wooden furnishings. The communal dining area includes a fireplace and there is also a communal lounge where you can relax with other guests. Quinta da Dourada has a seasonal outdoor pool, a children’s playground and table tennis. Guests can enjoy their scenic surroundings with a walk. The farmhouse has free Wi-Fi throughout and free parking.

Pros: This place is so atmospheric! Everything looks like it came live from pages of a fayritale. The house was very neat and clean with fully equipped kitchen and the owner stands out with his hospitality. Also he gave us some fresh baked bread for breakfast and the fridge was full of healthy food. People who keep this place really care about the guests.

Pros: It is in a very lovely area, with lots of nature, quite peaceful.
Cons: The bathroom needs updating and the shower was claustrophobically small, my husband had to get out of the shower to wash his hair, cause he couldn’t move his arms while inside it. The walls were so thin that we could hear other peoples conversations from the other side and the house we stayed in was very dark. There was also a funky smell coming from the sinks.

Pros: Very friendly welcome on a cold, rainy and foggy evening! The room was cosy warm with facilities like videos and a kitchen for us not having to venture out . The gardens and grounds looked fabulous - surely a great place to be in summer.

Pros: Lovely one bedroom house, everything you could possibly need. Fresh bread and croissants delivered in the morning for breakfast, also cold meat, cheeses, yoghurts, fresh juices in the fridge for yummy breakfast.
Cons: No restaurant or bar facilities when we arrived but it was out of season.

Cons: Personnel on sight did not speak english. "Paying method" for us was very unclear. On check-in nobody told us that we need to pay on sight and they don't accept payments through booking. When we left we got unpleasent calls of need to return and pay up. After check-out the property "cancelled our resevation" - left shady impression of the management. Pool area was kind of sad and warn.

Pros: We had a superior double room which was very spacious and had a balcony. Everything was of a very high standard. The bathroom was immaculate. The breakfast was fabulous with wonderful freshly prepared fruit, lovely bread and a good variety of cheese, meats and conserves. Staff very nice too. We have stayed at the Rossio before and will book there again. There is a lovely traditional Portugese restaurant called Restaurante "O Escondidinho" nearby. Owner speaks excellent English (menus in several languages). Food v. good. Also the Tapestry Museum was great and learning about the production of a modern tapestry was fascinating.

Pros: Exceptionally well run! The room was large and spotless. Staff in the breakfast room was very attentive. The hotel was well equipped for families: It provided us with a cot in the room and a baby chair at breakfast.

Cons: When we went to check put the credit card machine "conveniently" malfunctioned. We tried with 6 c cards, all denied. I will not recommend this guest house.

Surrounded by nature, Quinta Paraiso is 15 km away from Castelo deVide. Crato and Flor da Rosa are about 10 km away. Free private parking is also available on site.

Pros: Very suitable for travelling with a dog. Out of season so everything was as expected.
Cons: Room could have been warmer, but plenty of blankets provided. We don’t like sleeping with the air conditioning on.

Pros: Easy to get to as driveway off a main road, yet still quite rural feel. Manager/owner was very friendly and helpful, and it was a joy to play with the mix of house cats and dogs!
Cons: Some traffic noise due to location, but it wasn't really a bother for me personally.

Pros: The location of the hotel is amazing - you can go to most of the central places on foot, and the bus station is close. The room was beautiful - full of light, warm, with amazing painted furniture, a comfortable bed. The breakfast was great, too - especially the coffee! The common areas were cozy.
Cons: It feels like there was nothing that I didn't like! Everything was great.

Pros: Beautiful countryside. Staff were excellent, charming with children and breakfast stunning (amazing selection of local cheeses, homemade jams etc). Evening meal well worth having. Had outdoor pool to ourselves. Children play area clean and well maintained. Overall, a quiet place trying to make a name slightly off the tourist route but central for exploring the Alentejo by car.

Pros: Fabulous hotel: friendly, courteous staff, beatifully appointed rooms, very very clean. Air-conditioning, great pool. Overall though, the staff, particularly the manageress, were excellent and that alone was invaluable.

Pros: The pastoral setting and views from the hotel were very nice and scenic. The breakfast was well above average with very nice selection of local cusine. Manuel the proprietor was very nice and helpful and suggested a good place to eat dinner in the local town.
Cons: No we were very pleased with our stay although it was only for one night.

Cons: in the facilities text of the hotel is mentioned they have a restaurant. indeed they have but it is not in function, a pity because we searched for a hotel with restaurant.
