This place is NOT a Renaissance....
The staff did what they could to assist me and try to make up for my complaints. When I asked the staff about quality of the breakfast buffet, they told me they were under-staffed and could not keep up with expectations because of the economy. The front desk was mystified why I would complain about the rooms because the Lobby was so nice. I had to go to the front desk to find a hostess at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Tables were left a mess at dinner and breakfast.
Room was SMALL and full of old outdated, scuffed up furniture. Bed was terrible and loud, full of creaky springs. The bedding was like a hospital or a dorm room. The bathroom was tiny and very utility focused. I could have stayed at a nicer hotel for less money. I felt like this was a "Bait & Switch", like the photos on the web were fake or STAGED.

The toilet did not work upon arrival. Called twice to get it fixed, but did not get fixed. Had to go to first floor from 6th everytime toilet use was in need. Definitely not happy about that.
Pretty sure the housekeeping folded my clothes. That's weird.
Didn't quite follow the card provided for green housekeeping. Hung towels still replaced. Would have been alright with them being left to reuse.
Outstanding accommodations and service
Room was very clean and had a number of thoughtful touches. The staff was thoughtful and very caring. I have stayed at many high end hotel chains and the Rennaisance is exceptional for comfort and service.
There is nothing I didn't like. I will be staying at the Rennaisance again.
All the staff was very friendly and they did anything to accommodate you. The manager on duty on 02/14 was excellent. When he was told about our inconveniences, he went out of his way and gave us a refund from our expenses and on top of that gave us free breakfast to go.
Did not receive room service at all. Had to ask for towels every time.
We made a very last minute booking when we missed our flight due to delays in the Florida Keys. We chose the Renaissance because it was close to the airport without being on top of it. We were welcomed like we were long anticipated guests and made to feel totally comfortable. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms clean and cozy. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
