A quiet location, as the hotel was almost empty this added to the relaxing feel of the place, a really enjoyable stay.
Not all that busy, quite relaxing really.
Quiet, comfortable and relaxing with good food and friendly staff
Breakfasts weren't brilliant
staff very helpful pleasent and welcoming
was upset that i had phoned asking for a particular room and was told i would be in that room but wasnt. also think by upgrading our room they upgraded the price.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The hotel was in a lovely location. The room was very comfortable, although I wouldn't have described it as "Superior" compared to other hotels I have stayed in.
The food! First class. Good imaginative choice of menus, food served hot when it was meant to be so, good napery, horrid cutlery. Cheerful & helpful service. Beds were comfortable, although the rooms & the bathroom were cold (room improved when the radiator was bled, at our suggestion; bathroom remained cold & smelt of damp. Water was good & hot & the shower modern, easy to use and had plenty of hot water.
As above. Questions below:- recommend? A. without hesitation for food. Q.Staying overnight? A.probably not in the cold of winter as we did.
general areas a bit faded
