Pros: We loved EVERYTHING about this property. This is probably the most immaculate hotel we have ever stayed in. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom had a bath and a walk in shower as well as a toilet and two hand basins. The air conditioning was effective and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. There was a nice balcony with a table and chairs. The WiFi was free and excellent. The on-site garage was perfect for parking our car. The swimming pool was excellent. The breakfast was all cold food but plentiful with a good variety and fresh. The owners are very helpful. The house and gardens are stunning and we loved every minute of our three night stay. Thank you Miguel and Marie Luz.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely perfect! Beautiful house, beautiful garden, pool, very clean. Big room, big bathroom, shower, bath, aircondition, big garage. Very nice and friendly owners! To the city and castel Peniscola is nice walking cca 30 minut. Absolutely perfect breakfast and great service
Cons: We were only one day :-)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and finished to a very high standard, underground garage was a bonus for the parking and the property was very well appointed and in a quiet but accessible location close to the main motorway, we were very impressed
Cons: These are only minor points but we feel make a big difference, No tea or coffee facilities in the room or bottled water, only one small roll of toilet paper in the bathroom (not enough for 2 people), could do with the option of extra pillows in the room
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very well kept, people very welcoming.
Cons: No drink facilities in the room. No general information regarding the property, i.e pool information.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice big house and big room with terrace. Amazing bathroom ;-) Free parking in the underground parking and a good breakfast. The hosts are both very friendly!
Cons: The matress could be softer... Also really missed a watercooker in the room. If these things are sorted out, I would give a 10 ;-)

10,0 Excellent
Pros: view of the castle and beach from the hotel was excellent; view from the room was good but there were buildings; so not unhampered view but we could see the sea; the room we were first given was very small and as we were staying for a week we asked to be changed and it was done immediately, without any fuss. the only shame was that the second room had twin beds and not a double
Cons: my partner has coffee for breakfast and said it wasn't good. other than that no complaints at all.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
6,3 Good
Pros: The staff were great, Jorge at the front desk stood out in particular, he was very professional and a really nice guy. Michelle who works at the bar was lovely and very attentive. Rooms were very clean and spacious.
Cons: The room were very clean and comfortable but the sound proofing has a lot to be desired. We could hear everything that was being spoken in the next room and didn’t have a good nights sleep because of it. The food was average and we didn’t feel like we got value for money, I would eat elsewhere and go room only. Its a 20 minute bus ride from the main town so if you want to be in the heart of the town this isn’t the hotel for you.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very large room with large balcony and view of the sea.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff was nice
Cons: The doors to the bedrooms
7,5 Good
Pros: The front staff are wonderful. Great location.
Cons: Traveling alone, the dining room wait staff often asked me to take the small round table in the middle of the dining room. Being alone, I did not appreciate having to sit in the middle of all the families. I felt like everyone can see I was my myself, and it made me feel uncomfortable. I would have preferred to have the option to sit by the perimeter of the room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean inside and out and the pool area was immaculate. Breakfast was very good. I recommend you learn a little Spanish as this is a very Spanish hotel! Bar prices were very cheap and the surrounding bars and restaurants were even cheaper. Think €1.50 for glass of wine or una cana!
Cons: The hotel was 80% Spanish old folk who were very noisy and a little rude. More like an old folks home to be honest. Entertainment was also very Spanish so don’t expect any tributes or English language music, but expect lots of line dancing and waltzing! Parking is also very secure but €8 a night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay we had here. Great value for money, great staff, great everything!
Cons: breakfast saloon was a bit too crowded
6,7 Good
Pros: breakfast 's good, lots of choices
Cons: insufficient staff of counter,(only one there) have to wait for a long time for checking in.
7,5 Good
Pros: Hotel room
Cons: It was surrounded by big tower hotels

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Stopped for one night in Peñíscola. Hotel location is great, one foot on the beach and one foot in the old town. Public parking within 5 min from hotel (paid from 10am - 2am) on Calle Molino. Comfortable bed, sea-view and balcony, an unbelievable value for money. We considered to stay further away from the old town in a hotel with more amenities, very glad we didn't.
Cons: Breakfast is reflective of low cost, croissants were dry and juice was artificial tasting. There were other choices at the buffet so we didn't leave hungry, but i gladly would pay a little more for some better choices.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location is perfect if you want to spend time in the old town and go to the beach. Stuff was friendly everywhere. Hotel is old style but clean.
Cons: Towels been not clean( or if they been clean they had some brown marks anyway) and smelled weird. Breakfasts wasn’t that great but you could eat at list toast and fruits ( bakery’s been from the shop and not very fresh)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Literally 10 steps away from the beach. If you want a cheap and clean hotel because you are going to spend most of your time out and about, this is the perfect place for you.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location- the hotel is in a prime location. Close by the Castle. Grest breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom did not have the facilities to cater for elderly or physically challenged persons. Whilst internally the hotel had an efficent elevator one had to negotiate the 5 external steps up to reception. The hotel does not have any dedicated parking spaces so one has to take a chance with the public parking availability which can be both expensive and inconvenient.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, great price, lovely staff - will be recommending
Cons: Nothing

Cons: out of season, they do not have the cafee open so had to wonder down the road for breakfast. was ok, but the place we ended up in was not too great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Super beachfront location, lovely hotel - makes us rethink one star ratings! Rooftop breakfast with views of castle memorable. Ruth in reception was exceptionally helpful sorting out parking directly outside and explaining the meter system, which is not expensive. All staff were very friendly. The balcony with sea view rooms are well worth the extra. We would definitely return.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The stuff was very nice and helpful- they helped us with the luggage and ordered the taxi. The location is on point!
Cons: The size of a room.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The owners were great and accommodating. The hotel staff was efficient and helpful. The restaurant at the hotel was very good and reasonable. Great breakfast too.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent, beachfront and a comfortable walk to the old town and castle, and it has a very good bar and restaurant (the paella is especially good). Our room was very comfortable and spacious, had everything we needed and also offered a sea view. What more can you ask for? However, what made our stay exceptional were the management and staff. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome and valued and everyone was friendly and helpful. We had booked for 1 night but enjoyed it so much we stayed for 2 (and wish we could have stayed longer).
Cons: There was nothing not to like.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff and location. Terrace eating lovely maybe only in the hot months though.
Cons: Double or triple cooked chips. Lack of duvets! Not on these days. With ac on the bed cover needs some weight!

Pros: Cosy small and beautiful hotel between huge apartment towers.
7,5 Good
Pros: The staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel has parking for 7 Euros a night and the location right on the seafront was great. We ate our evening meal at their restaurant and it was lovely.
Cons: The breakfast was overpriced and there was not very much choice and finding plates bowls etc was not straight forward.

Pros: Location in old town close to everything. Room was not large but had 2 balconies with views. Fridge in the room.
Cons: No dislikes
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, very clean. Lovely welcome. Would come back for a weekend.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The old town of Peñíscola is really beautiful and Casa Juanita is an integral part of this. Easy to rea h, lovely views and lots of restaurants and bars very close by.
Cons: No hairdryer
6,7 Good
Pros: The hostal basically met our expectations, especially as the price was inexpensive compared to other properties fairly similar. The location, accessible on foot only (so be prepared to roll or backpack your luggage up the cobbles) was not that far from the parking area below the castle and promontory. (We parked in the large lot near the fair and festival rides.) Casa Juanita is right in the oldest part of the walled fortress making it a scenic location, but earplugs might be needed if you need sleep before 1 am.
Cons: Unfortunately, after nearly a month of travel we had our first lodging disappointment here. The directions given to me via email from the proprietors was not clear and was somewhat misdirecting. If not for our persistence, we would have circled the building 3 times and not been sure how to get in. (push the buzzer on the intercom and then they come down to meet you - there is no front desk). The noise from the street and other guests made sleep a little difficult. In addition, we are pretty sure that this was the place where my husband got bed bug bites.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Simple, clean, comfortable, authentic, well situated, inexpensive and no fuss. Just what I was looking for.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Small but cute room, great view of the bay. Didn't expect a small fridge in the room but excellent to have one. Friendly host.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the property was fabulous - we had a car and found it easy to find a place to park not too far away. Would highly recommend.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The room is in the very historical centre (within medieval walls), with a magnificent view. Just a few corners to the castle. The landlady is very open, quick and kind.
Cons: No air condition. You have to leave your car on public parking close to the sea, approx. 300m to the place (the historical area is not accessible and close parking areas are always occupied). Parkings in all the big part of the town are paid till 2.00 a.m
7,5 Good
Pros: Location, cleaning
Cons: To small room, no chair, no table
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Its a very nice place with brilliant views, clean and comfortable.
Cons: maybe a bit moor information on car parking i.e. show the main public car park on the map.

7,9 Good
Pros: Everything was absolutely good!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful. Kettle in room most appreciated. Parking facilities on the premises. Hotel faces the sea but no rooms available with sea view as they are reserved in advance from one year to the next. Buffet dinner very copious and as an option there are tapas if you are not too Hungery. Very Quaint the old town with lots of charm and its 13th century castle
Cons: Very difficult to find as the GPS sends you to Benicarlo who has the same rue Papa Luna. I lost 40 mins trying to find the hotel. Very confusing. Organization not up to scratch but they do their best. Rooms not very modern but extremely clean.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely all the things were superb. Nice and friendly staff, location, food, wifi - all was perfect.
10,0 Excellent

7,1 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Needs updating
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Right on the beach. Friendly staff. Free parking. Comfy bed. Great little restaurant 4 courses for 11€ Nice breakfast Buffet.
Cons: Our room wasn’t in the main building and you had to go up 12 steps to the entrance hall. We were ok, but infirm people need to be aware. It felt like someone had been smoking in the room, even though it was a non-smoking room.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was large. The car park was free and next door. The beach was just outside. The TV had international channels. The wifi was good.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Good value, on the beach and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staying in Felipe II all in all was very nice, it is situated directly by the coast, the historic centre was a little far away, but it's a pleasant walk by the sea.
Cons: The only thing I don't recommend is to take breakfast there - it was a little poor for the price, and the coffee didn't taste good.

Pros: Location excellent, nice modern hotel, hard working staff, lady in the bar was exceptional always happy and sometimes alone in the bar when busy but a credit to the team

Cons: T V was a total waste of time only 2 English channels were Bloomberg and CNBC both financial information channels, the hotel needs to address this with some light entertainment channels in English

Pros: Everything was great. Our room was very comfortable and the sea view was fantastic. We paid slightly extra than the room rate to stay half board and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food at dinner. Location is amazing, you can be from your hotel room to the beach in less than two minutes. The hotel is on the main promenade and the area felt safe.
Cons: I don't eat meat and I would have liked some more vegetarian options during dinner service. Some days were fine but other days the buffet was very meat heavy and I struggled for variety

Cons: Sorry, nothing we disliked here.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Mediocre food
6,3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Charging to use sun beds in a 4star hotel seems a bit strong. Cleaners come straight in the room every morning which wakes you up if your not up by 9am.
6,3 Good
Pros: Staff where as helpful as they could be
Cons: Dining rooms excessively big and noisy and no table service not even coffee. Coffee machines had massive cues and no coffee available in restaurant at lunch time Chose to have Dinner elsewhere Rooms very outdated Noisy at night.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Parking stalls were a good size, reception staff were warm & friendly
Cons: The room was cramped with dated decor. The food was atrocious, at best. The only food available was at set buffet times. It was mostly inedible. After requesting a drink in the bar which was listed on the menu, the server had to go to the bartender and ask what it is. He said they had it so she brought me the oldest, musty dubonnet I had ever seen. I couldn’t finish it. After “breakfast “, we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. This hotel is not up to booking.com standards.

7,9 Good
Pros: Very centrally located to the old town, easy to walk to the beach and meals
Cons: Very loud music until late in the evening
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, parking garage is massive,
Cons: We had a suite, with kitchenette, but no cups, plates, cutlery, cooking pots or pans, no kettle, and no tea or coffee making facilities, I would not book a suite again without utensils to make drinks or food, it said mini bar included, but it was a full size fridge that was empty,
8,3 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a bigger room with a terrace, which was a nice surprise (even though we couldn't use the terrace because of the rain!). The hotel looks smart and the receptionist was very helpful. We had no water in our room but this was fixed within minutes of reporting the issue.
Cons: The restaurant was very disappointing and really let the hotel down. As we visited off-season, there were very few restaurants open in the town for dinner so we opted for the hotel buffet. It was a big mistake. At 18€ each it wasn't cheap or expensive, but drinks were extra, and once tasted was a waste of money! The food was bland and what was meant to be hot was cold, made worse by having to put it on cold plates. We hoped to have a better experience at breakfast, which was included in the overnight price, but this was also disappointingly cold. I hate wasting food but neither of us could eat cold eggs, bacon, sausages and beans. We filled up on toast but the jam/marmalade was cheap individual catering pots and was disgusting. The pastries were OK but needed to be dipped in coffee Spanish-style to make them edible. A shame because the hotel itself was very nice.
7,9 Good
Pros: The room was much more spacious than we had expected and had a large terrace. But unfortunately the weather (a very severe thunderstorm) made it impossible for us to use it.
Cons: The air conditioning would not warm the room so we were quite cold for most of our stay. Also, the sliding door out on to the terrace from the bathroom leaked during the heaviest of the rain.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable . The breakfast and the super had plenty variety. There is worthy to stay for vacation
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location was great near to beach,, restaurants and Peniscola walled town. The bar waa ok and the rooms clean and comfy. Parking was secure underground. .
Cons: This is a huge hotel but seemed to be ok. The rooms at the back had no view. Breakfast was chaos with a Butlins feel. Queues for everything but food ok.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and spacious, especially with the larger balcony. The reception area of the hotel was airy and peaceful and the pools were great
Cons: Although it is wonderful to have the facilty of a spa, I could not believe I had to pay €10 for what was described as a Children´s Spa. It was a shallow pool with cold water, a slide and some water spraying. It is designed only for the youngest of children and should be freely available to guests - it is not worth charging for.
6,3 Good
Pros: We could get our room an hour before check-in time.
Cons: Indoor pool is not working in the summer. Restaurant is totally not prepared for vegetarians.
