Pros: I enjoyed the breakfast selection - esp. the baguette. The fresh orange juice is also exquisite. Overall, not too overwhelming, but just right.
Cons: Please provide bubble bath, in addition to bath salt.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The junior suit room my family of 3 stayed in, good size, lovely decor, exclusive, separate pool.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing is perfect
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I visit Manila frequently and stay either and Shangri-La and the Fort or Grand Hyatt, both at BGC. If these 2 hotels are contemporary modern 5-Star, then Raffles at Makati will fall under the aristocratic and elegant 5-Star category, oozing with class and grandeur. We stayed for 1 night at the Raffles Junior Suite. The staff at Raffles treated us like they really valued us. The complimentary high tea at Raffles was exceptional. I got a sense that for the folks at Raffles, running the hotel is not just about running a business - they treat it like a work of art. My wife and I enjoyed the experience. Excellent value for money.

Pros: Everything was just awesome. A five star hotel with five star service, food and location.
Cons: However, it does not match the extra service and amenities that Raffles Singapore offer. No Singapore Sling as a welcome drink for guests....we were spoiled by Raffles Singapore : )

Pros: gym opens early at 6; and nice change a breakfast menu and not a buffet! Friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant open all day attached to hotel.
Cons: only downside lobby is small and there is no business centre if you check out early and need to work a little..
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The one bedroom was a good size. Very clean. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating- always smiling and helpful.
Cons: The jacuzzi was not working 100% - some jets weren’t working anymore. However, this was a minor thing as we still used it anyway.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: home away from home
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff - great facilities. Lovely pool. Laundrette came in handy after several weeks travelling.
6,0 Good
Pros: The room is complete with kitchen, utensils, water, a dining table, a couch and a nice view of the city.
Cons: The TV was not a smart TV. Couldn't play netflix. The beds were too small even for a single person. There's a foul smell coming from the bathroom (must be from the pipes? drainage? ) My parents didn't like the breakfast. For the room price of 7k+ , breakfast was not that good. Super disappointed. Can't even order food from the restaurant past 2pm. The parking was all the way up to the sixth and seventh floor. So hard to use the car when you have to go round and round up to the 6th /7th parking floor. Couldn't even use the PWD slot (with my 83 year old passenger ). Also, my mom accidently left a 700 peso bill inside one of the drawers ( not that big of money) but no one even called us to return it. ( But, again, it's our fault we left it and no one returned.)

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Yes the extra bed is comfortable
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 3 different times within 3 weeks in this hotel (we went out of town twice between stays). First of all, the service is impecabble. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The location next to 2 huge malls means the availability of many restaurants and retail shops and services. Being a fairly new hotel, the interiors are very nice and clean, yet it feels homey. I totally felt comfortable here and would go back and highly recommend this hotel to others.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are great, we love the great big windows giving us a great view of the city and the pool.

Pros: Great service Nice room Excellent breakfast buffet Nice atmosphere at Long Bar.
Cons: 2700 php for car to airport? Must be a compromise between this and a local taxi at 200 php.
7,1 Good
Pros: Nice big bathroom and a lot of closet space for those staying for a longer time.
Cons: Traffic in lobby area.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is centrally located at the heart of Makati. It was close to my appointments during work hours as well as good restaurants and the malls where you can head off after work.
Cons: Maybe the towels and the robes need replacement.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel and great amenities. The best part of the hotel is the people there! Amazing staff that’s so accommodating, friendly, and always greet you with a smile. They were super helpful when I had questions navigating the area, arranging transposition, and making sure my stay was pleasant.
Cons: Difficult to initially find the driveway/entrance when traveling there for the first time from the airport (I had to take a taxi since I missed the hotel counter at the airport.)

10,0 Excellent
Pros: everthing
7,4 Good
Pros: The hotel amenities were above average. The suite we stayed in was clean although I had to ask a 2nd time for a non smoking room. The hotel pool was a big hit with the kids but the buffet was priced a little high for the selections available. The staff was really friendly especially the front desk (kudos to Jen).
Cons: We originally had three room reservations the first week we arrived. Three adults got sick and therefore we're unable to make the trip with us so we had to cancel/rebook the third room. Paid cash to upgrade to the deluxe sky tower suite for us to check in the day before our flight which was a week after our first stay. When we got home, there was a charge for the 2nd stay. Called my sister in the Philippines and we had to be on 3way conversation with the manager who swears that there were no charges but just a "hold" for the incidentals. Right now we are waiting for a resolution from them which could take 7-14 days according to the manager on duty.

Pros: I had forgotten to pack my running T-shirt and shorts when i checked out. I only realised when i was already in a cab to another city. I called the hotel and told them that I had forgotten the T-shirt and shorts and if they could kindly keep it for me as I was coming back to Makati a few days later. When I went to collect my T-shirt and shorts, they were washed and nicely folded and packed for me. This was definitely a gesture that was not expected and a welcome surprise. Thank you New World Makati!

Pros: Excellent service and very well maintained hotel. Great location next to shopping and restaurants at Greenbelt and Glorietta malls.
Cons: Minor quibble, but noticed that the showers did not seem quite scrubbed down at the creases. so you can start to see the age. Not quite mildew, but the only thing that keeps it from being perfect.

Pros: Very clean room and the location is great for shopping, dinning and nightlife.

Pros: This is my 2nd stay in this hotel. I love the location, staff , the bedroom. Staff are very attentive.
Cons: No play area
6,7 Good
Pros: Loved the location, the grandeur to a certain extent, Employees were courteous and helpful especially Kevin at the Concierge was exceptionally helpful and professional each time we needed something. Breakfast was nothing exceptional in its class. This was the minimum expected.
Cons: Facilities are ageing and in certain cases a bit inconvenient to use - for example separate bathroom mixers. If they were gold plated and had classical look, one could appreciate the emphasis on maintaining the classic look. But they were just ordinary and modern contemporary design and functionality must take lead over old impractical design.

Pros: It is very neat and all staff make you feel special & well treated and served. I love the choices/variety of food at the Circles. The location is very close to the commercial & business center.

Ascott Makati - Makati - Building

With a stay at Ascott Makati, you'll be centrally located in Makati, steps from Glorietta Mall and 7 minutes by foot from Ayala Center. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Needs some updates to make it a better looking room.
7,1 Good
Pros: Loved the location. Easy access to resto and walkin distance to the mall. Nice big rooms too.
Cons: Booked the first night through booking.com for my sister and her family to stay in their first night. Was supposed to be paid already via cc while i was in the Uk. But apparently, since the name was different( name from cc vs name of the guest), they denied the payment days before checking in and a week and a half after i have booked the hotel! I arrived 4 days from the UK and i was still jetlag when I received the notice thru email. I called them the day after and the front desk was no help at all. She told me to come over and settle the payment or i can give the cash to my sister. Imagine my horror of dragging myself to the hotel even at my current state of jetlag. I found it really unprofessional that no help was offered or other means of assistance that they can do. The lady on the phone told me it’s already too late to give the third party authorisation because it will take 5-7days clearance or something. When i went to the front desk to pay, i spoke to their officer on duty and asked what happened. This could have been prevented if they have charged the cc since my transaction was non refundable. And to add to my concern was the fact that i wanted to give that stay as a gift to my sister. So i was very disappointed that I had to come over in person just to settle the problem. If they have flagged it earlier, it could have been resolved outright.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff.
7,1 Good
Pros: Staffs are helpful and very accommodating. Receptions are very pleasant to talk too.
Cons: Room not ready when we arrive Missing towels and some toiletries Carpet is very dusty As I always check in to your hotel I notice cleanliness is not the same as before. The breakfast buffet is not the same as before with more choices, less food now. Clean room and dinning is I and my family after.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Ascott has been my favorite in Manila. Always a comfortable stay with them as the staffs are all very friendly and flexible.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: service, facility, location, rates
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Needs update. The towels looks very old and dirty looking.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The folks at the Ascott were super friendly, from the front door, to check in on the 6th floor, the restaurant was very good, staff attending to the room all were outstanding. Have been coming to PI for 10 years 20 plus trips. 1st stays were at New World, last 6 years have been at the Dusit...price/value was better in comparison than both of those hotels...we were in the old wing, rooms were spacious, we did check out the newly remodeled wing and it is newer for sure...the location next to Glorietta was great and only a 12 minute walk thru the mall to get to the Greenbelt Mall and theaters. We will be staying at the Ascott from now on. PS loved the pool area and the Jacuzzi
Cons: There was nothing to complain about at all
4,2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Ascott could not locate my reservation even when given my confirmation number and booking agents number. Front desk did not know what to do, they wanted to charge me double my original paid reservation and credit my paid reservation when it came through.....WHAAAAAT! Very late and tired, no one offered to make it right, front desk seem to have attitude. I finally called Kayak and had them locate original reservation which was faxed to front desk. Front desk calls me to tell me they have fixed it and I clearly told them... I FIXED IT BY CALLING KAYAK...which is something they should've done in the first place!!!!!
4,3 Okay
Pros: We stayed here only because we missed our flight and the Holiday Inn was full. We wanted to stay near the popular shopping areas (Glorietta and Greenbelt). The location was excellent and they upgraded our room so we had a washer/dryer, kitchen and separate bedroom. This was perfect because we desperately needed to do laundry and didn't want to spend extra money on laundry service. It was also nice that we could cook our own meals and didn't have to spend a ton eating out and the Landmark grocery store was only a short walk away.
Cons: We will probably not stay here again because they allow smoking in the rooms so once we made it home, all of our clothes that we just washed smelled like cigarette smoke. The worse part was the little ants that crawled around the whole room even the dining room table. We noticed it the second day there and had all of our luggage on the floor so we were paranoid that ants got into our luggage. We even found some crawling in bed with us. We were very ready to leave.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: My room and view
Cons: Checking in ,room was not ready at 2 pm
8,8 Excellent
Pros: My first impression was that the staff are super friendly and always smiling and accommodating to guest requests. I expect this from a hotel like Sofitel and it didn’t disappoint! So well done to the staff! The amenities, including the outdoor areas and pool are really nice and relaxing, especially the seats and cushions along the bayside area. The interior has a luxe and ‘manila’ and french vibe to it, which was also great. We opted for breakfast inclusion - and it was a great experience. Food was really delicious and authentic; and a must-do if you’re staying in Sofitel! The rooms are standard with fairly outdated design (we had a King Room with Bay View). But the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Balcony area was okay - mostly view of the pool with a glimpse of the bay and the city on either side.
Cons: Only downside is it’s not close to anything, although I believe they provide free shuttle to MOA. Other than that, it’s in a pretty isolated area, not a lot of walkable attractions. Although everything was generally clean, we did find stains inside the blanket cover (the quilt inside), which was a little bit off-putting.
6,7 Good
Pros: Room and living room.
Cons: My deposit of 3,000 pesos was not refunded right away after our stay.
6,0 Good
Pros: Spiral buffet
Cons: Before club millisime is open to kids but now it is restricted. How can a family enjoy the club if they restrict other family members.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed at hotel after Christmas 2019, 2 night stay. Location was great- plenty of places to eat within walking distance. If you're into shopping, there is no shortage of that either. Clean, large rooms for a hotel.
Cons: The view from our room was just OK (17th floor).
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good service. Clean rooms. Spiral restaurants dinner buffee is excelent.
Cons: For a 5 star hotel the temperature of the shower changes a lot. Hotel had arranged some kind of music festival and it kept us awake until 11.00 PM. We had an early flight so that was not so nice.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were great! Special shoutout to Aira A. at the Spiral restaurant who took very good care of us whilst we were having dinner. She went above and beyond her work and made us feel like we were dining with friends.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room and kid friendly play place. Very relaxing view as well and accomodating staff.
Cons: Food is too expensive.

Pros: value for money
Cons: they allow smokinh in the hallways, staff are slow when called
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are wonderful. We have a server and he was wonderful, he went out of his way to make our stay special.
Cons: Our room 1123 was deteriorated. The blinds in the bathroom is all bent and the rain shower was not working good, no water pressure at all. I am a bit disappointed cause I have stayed in many Sofitel before in different countries and I was always pleased
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The quality of service unparalleled Loved breakfast
Cons: Serve wine on 10th floor with lunch
7,0 Good
Pros: Cool place, there is a bar in the swimming pool and that was a lot of fun
Cons: Bait and switch. A lot of extras that wound up costing more than the room itself, it was a huge rip-off. Breakfast, evening perks, etc.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing and friendly.
Cons: For the price of the hotel, I think including breakfast would be nice. We are offered a breakfast at many, if not all of the three star hotels. So it doesn’t make sense to me that you charge almost double the money but offer less as far as breakfas
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Conveniently located and breakfast buffet
Cons: Provided with twin bed instead of queen bed
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Room is tidy, good customer service, facilities good and buffet breakfast is superb and satisfactory service.
Cons: 1) Bathroom bench and shower floor on the sides has rusty, blackish stains that requires a bit of cleaning and apply sealant 2) additional bed not fully covered as bed frame and where you put the matress can be seen. I feel not lying on the bed as the matress is only covered by beige flanelette that it looks stainy. I'm expecting white linen with flanelette.

Pros: Nice quiet little hotel very good located close to Greenbelt
Cons: The king bed was actually two bed put together with a cover in the middle that you can feel
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and the location itself
Cons: Hoping that the breakfast was a bit better
10,0 Excellent
Pros: For us, we’d been in the Palawan for 3 weeks, so Hotel Celeste was a massive change. Place was anything we wanted on our layover before heading home. Room/shower - great Staff - very helpful, late check out on request (12pm to 2pm). Good communication via email before booking & staying Breakfast - didn’t really get to see as slept in & only get there 15min before ended Location - walking distance to Greenbelt mall & another big one. Close to airport Airport transfers - really well priced. I spoke to four other hotels in area & all were overpriced. Had good email comms with hotel to sort this. Definitely worth the stay.
Cons: Not getting to breakfast in time!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was basic, they go for buffet if there are a lot of people checked in, or a la carte if there's not much. The rooms and their bathrooms were spacious. I liked that their shampoos and soaps are from L'occitane, not the very good smelling kinds though, but makes their image a bit more premium with the same room rate. There's a bit of a walk to go to the malls, but it's in a safe location. The staff were very welcoming and nice too.
Cons: Their 2nd floor rooms can be noisy given that it's lobby's ceiling extends to the 2nd floor. They have someone playing the piano and the noise of the guests can reach your 2nd floor rooms, so just letting people know about it. They do not have that much amenities in the hotel like a pool or gym. The lights in the room are a bit dim and too warm coloured.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Fancy hotel, perfect location accessible to both Greenbelt and Glorietta
Cons: Our bed had to be connected and we could feel the cardboard used to flatten the two beds.

Pros: Staff were nice, rom was big.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed here for years and clearly love the place. I like being in Makati, but being a bit away from the traffic on Ayala Ave. The rooms are very spacious. I love all the dining options on Leviste street. My requests are always cared for quickly: extra pillows, extra water. Price compared to space and quality is exceptional. Highly recommended.
Cons: Any issue I've had with my frequent stays has been quickly resolved. No complaints.

Pros: Location. Comfort. Nearby restaurants
9,7 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, in two separate stays. It was a reasonable distance from the airport and it was a nice hotel. The location was great - the neighborhood was very safe. It was walking distance from quite a few restaurants, coffeeshops, a nice bar, the Glorietta and Greenbelt malls, and the Saturday Salcedo Market. The staff was very nice, the rooms were updated and clean. Overall, a really nice stay. If I visit Manila again, I will definitely consider this hotel. When we were there the restaurant/bar had not yet opened for dinner/evening hours. Thus, we didn't get a chance to taste the food. However, if it's good, it would be a good addition to our stay. It would be nice to just walk downstairs and grab a drink.
Cons: The laundry service was quite expensive. If we weren't completely out of clean clothes, we would not have used it. However, it was efficient and they didn't end up charging us for the "express service" additional fee.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff really helpful! For anything. Very good location in a quiet part of the Makati city.
Cons: Our problem was that constant smell. This smell is everywhere in Philippines due to the closed places fully airconditioned.. so an annoying smell is everywhere. They try hard with house aromas but the mixed smell produced is actually bad. The worst was the breakfast. Extremely poor. Just a plate with cheese, another with ham, two plates with fruit and a yogurt option. Toast bread and some corn flakes. No variety. They just gave us a menu to order breakfast. That was really frustrating when paying for it already.
7,5 Good
Pros: I like how accommodating the hotel is since my whole office team were visitors for dinner and some board games.
Cons: pantry area was not used that much except for the ref.

4,0 Okay
Pros: The room was spacious and quiet
Cons: The photos really flatter a tired hotel, with many stains on the carpets, and the pool rather run down and with a dirty old net over the top. And it is the only hotel I have ever booked that kept prodding me awake while I sat on the sofa waiting for my room to become available after a long night flight. They apparently "don't allow sleeping in the reception area"!!! My one room service meal was a huge disappointment, and made more frustrating when I was told I had to pay cash as no-one had taken my credit card advance on check-in! As I did not have the cash, a tedious wait ensued while the staff member tried to get authority for me to put the simple sandwich on my bill. And it was the coldest tuna melt without any melting cheese I have ever eaten. The location is witness to some of the poverty of Manila, with many street families living on the road outside and all the way to the nearest restaurants. I cancelled my second booking at this hotel and enjoyed a much better stay in Makati.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast buffet is great!
Cons: they should have put more breakfast selection on the 19th floor and some kind of entertainment, like live acoustic jam at night.

5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was ok but the dessert options were very little. Good coffee though! I like the Sushi restaurant and the staff were very friendly. The airport transfer back to the airport wasn't so good, we have to carry our own suitcases.
Cons: A lot! Our bathroom didn't have a hair dryer. The sink were clogged. The bed is not really that comfy, specially the pillows. They claim to be 4 Star and also by Shangrila. Our expectation were high!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room size excellent
Cons: The carpet was dirty maybe old..the shower with one door and towels were too limited its seems to be for 1 person instead of for two

Pros: We arrived from other city by boat, and we should arrive at 1am but we arrived at the hotel at 1pm (12 hours later). We were tired, and wishing to get a shower because we needed to get the flight (a longgg way) that afternoon. Really we were a no show (of course we advised about the super late arrival) because our stay was only for 1 night, but, the receptionist let us use the room and be ready for our long travel. Thank you sooo much for this help, we really appreciate. Also, the room was incredible, big, with great bathroom and very nice views.
Cons: Nothing.
6,7 Good
Pros: Quiet room and the location is very accessible.
Cons: I ask the hotel receptionist to give me someone to help for my baggage and ended up that I have to go back again to the lobby twice to get all my things. The receptionist saw me getting my bags alone and she didn't even care to approach me or help me to get someone to take care of other bags. By the way, I have a toddler and a senior citizen with me. I am quite dissapointed with that but overall its good especially the buffet breakfast.

Cons: windows are so weak and hotel on the main road so early in the morning you can hear everything than not easy to sleep
7,0 Good
Pros: The beds were comfortable and the staff was very kind. A proper mall and a rooftop resto could be found nearby.
Cons: The smell was repulsive in almost every room I visited (I had to change the rooms for every kind of reasons like previous smoking, broken A/C, not working wifi, etc. I've seen 4 rooms in 3 different categories. The equipment was worn out (regardless of the category), most of the windows were random or not functioning properly. The fridges were mini freezers, turning water, milk, etc into ice in one night, so don't plan to buy any food for home. I couldn't run A/C in lower tier rooms as long as I wasn't at home - only in the king sized room (because the magnetic card for the electricity and the door opening was the same).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Room space is superb. Great Value for Money. Walking distance to Makati's dinning streets, a Mall, and a quiet neighborhood. Dont forget the cozy roof top bar and resturant.

Cons: The only problem that I did have was that the room.had a very song odor of mildew, that I could not figure out where it was coming from. The toilet did develop a leak during my stay ,but was fixed immediately once they were notified.

Pros: A very good standard of somerset chain. location ok but you must be prepared to walk to centre of attraction. A pleasant walk though. Breakfast normal standard, one can miss that anytime, nothing great. Clean, service staff very pleasant and helpful. My stay was during the volcano eruption period, very well informed of safety, flight details, do and don’t etc. Recommended and good value for money.
