It is a very nice hotel.
The location was central to everything. The room very comfortable and the diner was most convenient with a good menu. Restaurants were handy. The staff were helpful and the place was spotless. We will book there again if there was more to see and do.
The hotel was great. NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Unique atmosphere. Yummy chocolate chip cookies at night. Cold bottled water in the hotel entryway that we could drink as we were out walking.
Loved the courtyard! We walked to dinner in the Old Market area & came back to have a drink in the courtyard & enjoy a beautiful night. The bar at the hotel is lovely and has a good Happy Hour special. The room was a bit on the smallish side but the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff at the front desk & the bar were very friendly & helpful. Overall a unique property with old world charm that I would visit again.
The glass shelving in the room that housed the coffee maker, glasses, etc. was splattered & the coffee maker had spilled coffee on the appliance itself. I told the desk clerk when we went down to the bar for a drink & she apologized & said they would send someone up immediately to take care of it. When we returned to the room later it had been cleaned up.
The historic charm is the best part of the Magnolia. Our room was spacious, and the beds are very comfortable.
While we were there, the number of staff in the restaurant was a bit surprising. One guy-a manager I think-ran the entire room during breakfast. The poor guy looked exhausted running back and forth; however, he was stayed on top of it all fabulously.
Formerly the Aquila Court Building, built by Chester Cook in 1923, The Magnolia Hotel in downtown Omaha, Nebraska resides near many of the area's finest attractions, including The historic Old Market, the Orpheum Theatre, Omaha Children's Museum, Holland Performing Arts Center, Joslyn Art Museum, and the Century Link Omaha. Named to the National Register of Historic places in 1974, Magnolia Hotel, Omaha is also located near all major corporate headquarters and offices in downtown. Based on the Bargello, a palace in Florence, Italy, the corporate lodging hotel was built in homage to Chester's father Aquila. The faces of George and Aquila Cook can still be seen on the front of the boutique hotel's building today.
