La Farge Perry House

We loved our stay at this B&B! Just to note, we went during the winter (Valentine's weekend) when Newport is MUCH cheaper than the height of summer. But that aside, the La Farge Perry House is an awesome B&B. Paula the innkeeper was wonderful, inviting, knowledgeable about the area, and a great host. We stayed in the Margaret Perry room. The bathroom was huge! The two person soaking tub romantic. And the room was spotless. It came with two wine glasses and most importantly, a bottle opener! There's also a huge closet with a little fridge. It's on the top floor in the dormer, so if you're tall you may run into the dormer, but other we don't have that problem. The room was nice and toasty for winter too. Breakfast was delicious, and we liked the communal table. It encouraged us to meet the other B&B guests, which really heightened our experience and led to some awesome restaurant recommendations that we totally would have missed from surfing Yelp et. al. We also got to know one another at afternoon wine and cheese hour, so the mingling really made it a lovely experience. The location also is excellent. The weather was nice for winter, so We walked all the way down Bellevue for the mansions and back along the cliffwalk. It made for a lovely day. It's also a short walk to the wharf or harbor area with bars/restaurants and sea views. This was an excellent stay, and we would highly recommend this property.
