Very comfortable bed
Great stay in NYC!
The best thing about the Redbury hands down is the customer service! My family and I stayed a week and everyone we encountered was amazing! From the front desk to housekeeping, our service at Marta and especially Laurel at Cafe Marchio, the staff is absolutely outstanding! Location is great being very close to the subway (and my daughters school). I will definitely be back!
I know it's New York but the bathroom could really use a shelf or two for storage.
Great one night stay in the city
Very clean, large bathroom and super comfy bed!
The Staff was excellent, responsive and kind. The rooms were fun and a nice size, small but well appointed. Great location.
A City Gem!
A great hotel with it all, charm, location, hip vibe, great restaurant, attentive staff, and nice extras (comp coffee, helpful concierge, great lounge with food & bev options at good prices). Loved it!
A larger, more expansive fitness room would be nice.
Nice hotel, great rooms, bar and got an excellent rate
The staff went out of their way to assist with all our needs and although we were not happy with our room they went out of their way to sort us out .
The first room we were assigned to , room 945 had a bad odour which was intolerable. We were then changed to room 444 which is slightly smaller but has good odour , unfortunately the aircon was super noisy and disturbed us on the first night . we then worked out a way to improve this noise so much better. The shower head in room 444 needs attention as it leaks at the back of the pipe - this is evidence of poor maintenance.
The room with one twin bed. It was the perfect, cozy size for one person, and much more affordable than other types of rooms at this hotel.
Trying hard to be hip
The hotel was clearly recently redecorated to be hip and modern.
I did not realize my single room would consist of a twin bed in a 6 by 10 room. It was half the room pictured. There was no closet, just some small drawers tucked behind the bed. They do an admiralable job with space efficiency but you should know going in how small the space is.
Staff was very polite and courteous. The housekeeper who cleaned my room was very thorough and kind. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable!
I didn't like the street noise at night. Honking of horns continuously but nothing the hotel can do about that in NYC I guess
Friendlyat staff and great location. Quiet amd clean rooms.
The beds were not firm enough
the redbury NY needs to get its act together
location was good for the purpose of my trip. the lobby/restaurant was hip and bustling.
the staff: apathetic, dismissive, rude, unapologetic rooms: way too small and awkward, no shades on bathroom windows, no amenities, no closet space overall experience: borderline abusive special note- extremely awkward situation happening on 8th floor where apparently a permanent tenant lives in one of the rooms and has several crazy notices taped to the outside of his/her door. also the fitness center is a joke.
Poor lighting in the bathroom.
Very friendly and courteous housekeeping staff. Execelent location.Clean towels and bedding great for a one night stop over.
This hotel has so much potential as the location is great.Unfortunately it is let down by the unfriendly staff at reception. The rooms are very small and very dark as the light in room was very poor. They lack the small essentiaI details you would be expecting in a standard room at that price for example there was no chair you had to be sitting on the bed.I was on the 7th floor which reeked of smoke my room also smelt of smoke even though I complained but I was told that I was on a non-smoking floor. Wouldn't recommend booking a standard room unless staying for one night.
Very Very Clean.. I didn't expect that
The single room was like a cell. It was extremely tiny although clean and bed was comfortable. I got another room but queen room in a three stars hotels closer to 34th street with the same price!!
Location was great. Got a very quiet room. Room was small, but bed was comfy, and room was very good value for New York.
They changed my room, which is a good thing because the first room was shocking - the bathroom is not one of the renovated ones (as per the pictures on the website). So it looked like some strange dormitory toilet with a tiny sink, broken mirror and a shower that is not separate from the toilet.
Service was great, but location is perfect for city break with empire state building within 7 minutes walk and 5th avenue 2 blocks away.
Am excellent bathroom (roomy and easily controllable shower, lots of shelf space over sink, toiletries), ice available on the tenth floor, swift elevators, complementary daily newspaper at the front desk if one noticed it, very personable front desk and room cleaning staff.
The room was quite small (furnished with a plastic chair!), doubtless because of the installation at some point after the construction of the building of the excellent bathroom. Some buttons on the television remote control did not work, but this was not a great enough inconvenience for me to mention it to the management until my check-out.
The hotel looks fantastic when you first enter it. The reception area is contemporary design, very well done. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and would help in anyway possible.
The room was a lot smaller than we expected. The air conditioning was very poor in our room. We kept opening the door into the corridor to let some cool air into our room. There was no facility to make coffee.
Problem with the reservation On are first nite are room that we had booked 3 weeks in advance was given to someone else!!!!!
Location; Good Air Conditioning; Pleasant Staff; restaurant for breakfast right next door
Rooms very small
Location is top (Y) one or 2 blocks from 5th Avenue.
the Air Conditioning was very noisy without conditioning the room it was so hot.
