Both the location and the atmosphere were incredible. The decorations of the room and the public area is amazing. The hotel bar was great. The room was big comparing to other hotels in nyc and mostly clean.
While the room was very clean we did get one towel with blood stains which is unacceptable. The room is big but without enough room for luggage, it’s perfect for business trip or short vacation for a couple but if you have more than on suitcase you might find it problematic.
Overall facilites and experience
There was no one at the door to help us with our lugage and cab during check out we had to carry our bags to the corner of Madison and 24th that was at 12:30 pm
The room was beautiful and views were amazing. Maid service was impeccable and staff were very friendly.
Mini Bar was plentiful but too expensive. A daily Resort Fee, you get a credit for spa treatment, cleaning or Lobby Bar to offset fee. But only one credit credit regardless of how many nights you stay.
The vibe at the hotel was sexy. The lounge/bar area was modern, crisp with clean lines. The drinks were fantastic. There signature sent was inviting and relaxing.
The elevators took a little while to arrive. The hallways were warm, but the room was always cool.
an Eately food matket and skake shack(original one) nearby. Next to Madison park. great location.
a little bit noisy on lower levels
The New York EDITION is a sleek luxury hotel overlooking Madison Square Park in Manhattan's Flatiron District. The historic 1909 Met Life clocktower that the property resides in is a highlight in itself. The iconic building often attracts a mix of well-heeled families with older children, couples, and business travelers.
Located on the corner of East 24th and Madison Avenue, The New York EDITION overlooks Madison Square Park. The area is walkable, with plenty of spots to eat and drink nearby, including Eleven Madison Park right across the street, named the world's best restaurant in 2017, as well as Eataly just across the park. The Flatiron Building is a three-minute walk, while the Empire State Building can be reached in 11 minutes on foot. The hotel is right around the corner from the 23rd Street subway station, while Penn Station takes 15 minutes on foot.
For many travelers, the hotel's highlight is The Clocktower, a Michelin-stared restaurant with three dining rooms and a seafood menu. Breakfast and lunch are a la carte, and tea is served in the afternoon. The Bar is attached to the restaurant and serves delicious snack items like goat cheese churros and buttermilk fried chicken, as well as drinks. The Lobby Bar also offers light meals and features a good selection of wine, beer, and cocktails. The hotel also features a small spa, 24-hour gym, a business center, and event space for meetings and weddings.
Accommodations at the hotel are elegant and sophisticated and offer different types of rooms such as entry-level guest rooms, superior and deluxe rooms, and suites. Many of the rooms offer great city views and as upgrades are made from standard to suites, more convenient amenities and space are added.
