Pros. Proximity to subway stop. Residential and close to Central Park.
Cons. Unpleasant smell in room. Shared bathroom not very clean.
Pros. I just finished my stay here.I think I did pretty good, picking this, place,, ,not knowing about location, and transit, all the other questions you wonder about, because you just dont know until you get there...So with that said, This place is for someone on a budget that is not looking for all the bells and whistles. I just wanted a decent room, clean and updated decor.,in a decent area close to transit, with access to more than one transit.I was not concerned about where the restroom was and bath was. I like this place, I was in only in room to sleep, and stayed gone from 10 am to 10pm.sightseeing. Most people want to be in main area.I did not,too bright and busy ,I want a less traffic area to sleep. It's a old building with character. The floors squeak when a guest leaves thier room to walk down hallways to go downstairs. It didnt bother me, You will hear outside work trucks and ambulances..That didnt bother me.Because I was sleeping. I am rebooking in a week. I will continue to book here,,until I discover a better place as I travel to nyc...
Cons. The downside, beds are little uncomfortable-but thats to be expectated anywhere. The room is tight, but that is also the norm for places in Nyc.Food Options close to doorstep are limited. You will have to walk a to end of block for whats available-corner store ,subway, dunkin donuts.for everyone by a subway entrance/exit.Or plan to get bite to eat on your way on bus or subway. But who has food at doorsteps at your home,I dont.I drive to it.New York is about adventure of finding cool places go eat and see along the way.,My visit is for fun travel.
Pros. Nothing
Cons. I let the place know that I was arriving late night and when I got there they had locked the door and nobody opened my door when i rang the bell and nobody picked the phone when I called them basically i was stranded in the middle od the night. I had to call hotels.com who got me another room in another place. I do not re ommwns this place at all
Pros. Rooms are clean Friendly staff 100 yards from Subway Nice street Central Park at walking distance Breakfast very nice Comfy beds
Cons. Street was noisy (cars passing and people talking loud) Wooden Staircase noisy Ear plugs recommended (maybe?) Bathroom in the corridor (but I'm ok with that)
Pros. Perfect for an inexpensive weekend in New York. The room was clean and comfortable. The bath and shower is shared but we never had to wait more than a few minutes for a turn. VERY close to the park and subway stops where you can get to downtown in little time. Best part - awesome breakfast of bagels and pastries delivered to our room just as we were waking up.
Pros. The location, it was cozy, comfortable, perfectly equiped, close to subway so perfectly easy to go anwhere in minutes, near was a dunkin and donuts, and of course, central park. Perfect for the price you pay.
Cons. The walls wwere thin and our neighbors noisy, so at times there mas a bit too much noise
Pros. Location
Cons. The late check in time
