New York lol overpopulated
Location was in the middle of Manhattan on 32nd Street just off 5th Avenue. Times Sqaure is within 15mins walking distance. CVS and Asian mart is nearby for you to procure groceries, food and drinks. Room was spacious, but not all rooms came with refrigerator and microwave. If you need them, better to request for a room that comes with them. Lots of Asian restaurants outside the hotel since it is located right in the middle of Koreantown.
Hotel was old. There wasn’t any visible dust or dirt, or any noticeable smells though. The bathtub in Room 1103 clogged quickly and I used a pair of disposable chopsticks I got for my takeaway lunchbox and cleared out heaps of hair and other disgusting stuff. Wondered how housekeeping can miss the clogging issue if they clean the bathrooms regularly. Even after removing the visible hairs clogging the water hole, the clogging only improved slightly. Beyond the control of the hotel, the facility is located on a busy street in Korean town, where there are drunk youngsters at night, and the next mornings the sidewalks are mostly covered with rubbish and vomit, and smells terrible. They hotel didn’t seem to have a clear overnight luggage storage policy. In the midde of my stay, I checked out and went to Boston for 2 days, and went back to NYMA to stay for another 2 nights before returning home. Initially before my trip, I inquired about keeping my luggage at the hotel and was told that due to security reasons it wasn’t allowed. During my stay, I tried my luck and inquired with the front desk again, and I was told that it will cost $4 per luggage per night. I ended up bringing my luggages to Boston and back. I hope the hotel could consider free luggage storage, especially when I have a pre-paid hotel booking with them already and will be going back to stay.
Great quality for a great price in the area. I also enjoyed how quiet it was during the day and night.
I would say the elevators would tend to get crowded very often. I don't know how difficult it would be to get some other mode of moving people in the building but it would be a huge help.
