Pros: The hotel has recently re-opened and is run by the owners. Virtually everything is new, and it all works. There are 3 classes of rooms available and we had the middle tariff which, as we discovered, meant it didn't include tea and coffee facilities. However a quick word with the owners and they were happy to provide a kettle and cups. Nothing was too much trouble. Heartily recommend this hotel.
Cons: Having to leave,

Pros: Lovely old building and interesting view of the Millau viaduct from the window. Innovative menu at the restaurant that we both really liked, though a bit expensive. Staff were friendly and helpful on both arrival and departure, suggesting the best views of the viaduct on our way out. A good base for exploring the Gorges du Tarn, which is spectacular.
Cons: The hotel is crying out for a bar which serves drinks on the terrace overlooking the valley however the only bar is in the basement just outside the restaurant but without the character that the restaurant has. That's more of a suggestion than a criticism, I suppose.
9,6 Excellent

Pros: We have stayed here before. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the town. There are nice views from the rooms and there is a car park and a lift. The restaurant is fine for breakfast and dinner. The beds are comfortable
7,5 Good
Pros: Good staff and good evening meal
Cons: We have booked a Queen size bed but only twin beds were provided. Half the TV channels - including the only English channel did not work in either of our two rooms - 302 and 308.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous dinner
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Central location. Very friendly and helpful Manager who came to our aid when we dropped a wallet behind a piece of buillt-in furniture behind the bed. He and the Chef improvised with some string and sticky tape to retreive it and save the day. Otherwise we would have had to wait until after the weekend and a local carpenter to attend! Great customer care! But watch those deceptive bed surrounds!
Cons: Nothing. All good
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Apart from that this was better than the three stars it has been awarded. Great restaurant with generous helpings of original food. Very welcoming Patron
Cons: Loo was unbelievably small.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: we did not have breakfast
Cons: for the location the conditions were good
7,5 Good
Pros: Location and room was nice, lovely hot water. Didn't use the restaurant as it was closing early because of the season
Cons: We were told the hotel closed at 11pm, then had to use the side door and steps to our room. Arrived back at 9.50pm to find the hotel in darkness. Had to use the side door and steps, having disability issues found it a struggle, having known they would be closing early, like the restaurant and bar, we would have arrived back early, so we would have been able to use the lift. Although I realise it's out of season, it would of been nice to know if they were going to change their minds
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Ideal stop over location for our journey to Spain. Hotel only a short walk to town centre and a great choice of bars and restaurants Decided not to eat in the restaurant but judging by the food that we saw being served we will definitely make use of their menu the next time we stay

Cons: I couldn’t put my finger on what was wrong although I felt that the property could do with a bit of updating. The staff didn’t look very professional although they were helpful.

Pros: The location is ok, but if you want to be near the centre(within walking distance) then this hotel is probably not for you. It is in a great location for a nights stay though if you're travelling past here. There is a shopping estate just over the road where you can pick ost things up, including fuel.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: This complex had very basic rooms. Staff were excellent and very polite
Cons: All was acceptable for us
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, pool
Cons: Pillows could have been firmer, Or second one.
7,0 Good
Pros: The Hotel is in a good location from the motorway with easy on site parking and a short walk into the old part of Millau, which is well worth a visit. The cabins have kitchens with a microwave, fridge and kettle and are much more spacious than an average stop-over hotel. The cabin was also clean. We didn't use the pool but it was clean and in good condition. The manager Vincent was helpful and entertaining - we didn't take the breakfast but his coffee was excellent.
Cons: As another reviewer pointed out a sign at the entrance would be helpful as we and our Sat-Nav overshot it the first time. Although the kitchen is well equipped with appliances there was no cutlery or cups, though I think if you were to ask at reception these could be provided for a longer stay. The beds were a bit low and uncomfortable but OK. Unfortunately the heater in our bedroom wasn't working to take the edge of the early autumn evening, which was a small inconvenience. The 8 pm closing of reception worried me in case we got held up on our way (as we had been coming through France on our way to Spain). Also of course once we discovered the issues with the heater there was no-one on site to help.
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location to visit the Millau Viaduct and the town of Millau. Breakfast was acceptable but the chalet was pretty tired. Suitable for an overnight stay. Pleasant staff who were pleased to give information and were welcoming.
Cons: The chalet was tired but clean.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location. Proper self cateringbreak on journey down to our apartment in Spain. This was about the fifth time we've stayed there!
Cons: The chalets need a little updating
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, near to restaurants, pool and gym although did not use as was a one night stopover, nice continental breakfast in good company, rooms basic but clean with all facilities ,would use again. Lovely view of Viaduct.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children, but the staff wasn't aware of that and we got quite a small room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The cost of the room was very, very reasonable but room was small. However the bathroom was pretty large with respect to the room. I certainly got my money’s worth with this room. The breakfast area was very pleasant and the breakfast was great.
Cons: We use GPS to get around. The hotel address could not be found by the GPS. We needed to stop and ask directions.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean room comfy bed, shower room brand new so very nice,
Cons: Too much plastic, like cups etc in the room only one tea or coffee per person, the air conditioning wasn't very effective
7,5 Good
Pros: The staff in this hotel is amazing. Our car broke down & we need transportation to the car rental agency to pick up another car & there were no taxis available (small village, early morning on a Saturday) & the lady at the reception offered to drive my husband to pick up the new car. Forever thankful as we had to drive for 14 hours that day & she saved us so much time. The breakfast was also good quality & it had variety too.
Cons: The shower in the bathroom was not a fun experience. It went from warm to scolding hot on its own so I was covered in the red patches at the end of the shower.
6,3 Good
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Shabbiness of outside building
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfy bed, english spoken, good shower. Reception even loaned us a bottle opener.
Cons: Loo seat needs tightening.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy and clean. Was quiet.
Cons: Small point but they do not provide a hand towel only bath towels. Did not enjoy the dinner meal. I would eat elsewhere if another time.

Overview Reviews
With spacious and comfortable rooms, this ibis hotel is located in the heart of Millau, where you can discover the biggest viaduct in the world. Millau is close to the "Causses and Cévènes", which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. After visiting the cellars in Roquefort, the Causse du Larzac and its temple cities, or the Tarn gorges, enjoy a cool drink in our relaxation area.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly comfortable for a night with pets, good location and parking. More than you would expect from the usual French Ibis stopover.
Cons: The room wasn’t totally clean. Hairs in the bathroom and some leftover objects under the bed as if not swept. However this did not matter for one night. Towels were few and too thin and small for bathing but again not much of an issue for one night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We always enjoy
Cons: N/A

Pros: correct price - quality personal reply to request for late arrival safe parking
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good, clean room. Very basic, but for the price who's complaining? The hotel is a little way out of town, but great if you want to go bowling. Easy access to and from the A75, so great as a drop off spot en route down through France. Highly recommended for no-fuss customers looking for motel style accommodation.
7,9 Good
Pros: I have submitted a review already when I said Hotel was basic. However, what I didn’t say was:- 1. Everything was clean 2. The air conditioning is pretty quiet and effective. It runs all the time so there’s no sudden change in noise or temperature. 3. The bathroom is excellent with a decent shower.
Cons: If you want to walk into Millau, this is not the hotel for you. And first impressions are not favourable.
7,9 Good
Pros: The bedroom block was away from the bar/restaurant/bowling alley. Plenty of parking and most of it secure. Friendly staff.
Cons: This is a budget hotel and if you can ignore the lack of frills it makes for an excellent overnight stop.

Pros: Hot water ,good shower, clean room.
Cons: Told we could arrive at three p.m. ,it was closed until 5 p.m.Was a bit of a nuisance as we had had a long journey.
Hôtel Mercure Millau - Millau - Building
10
7,7 Good (1 482 reviews)
R1 302+
Overview Reviews
Ideally located in the centre of the historic town of Millau, 800 metres from the railway station and just 10 minutes from exit 45 of the motorway, the Hotel Mercure Milau offers fully-equipped designer rooms with a view of the highest viaduct in the worl d. After a business meeting or touring in the Gorges du Tarn area, relax on our restaurant terrace and enjoy a glass of one of our choice wines.
7,5 Good
Pros: Staff were courteous and helpful despite difficult circumstances. Location in town centre in good as secure parking is provided. However, I have never experienced two chain hotels functioning in the same building at the same time! Very confusing
Cons: Shortly after our arrival a water leak occurred in the Mercure reception area leading to the ceiling collapsing and the electricity shorting out. Consequently the water was turned off and after discussion we changed rooms to a room in the Ibis part of the hotel - different floors were allocated to Mercure and Ibis! When everything was resolved we became Ibis customers but used Mercure facilities! Even when paying the bill the lady at the counter took us through a doorway into the Ibis section and completed the transaction giving the impression that staff worked for both hotels.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Spacious room
Cons: Over priced
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room of the bridge which was our main reason for visiting Millau. A good choice of restaurants and cafes. The older part of town, river views and architecture are worthwhile.
7,5 Good
Pros: Really enjoyed the town and found some very friendly bars having first viewed and driven over the viaduct then visited the viewing station and exhibition venue. Checked out early so didn't stay for breakfast. Room was very comfy with a view of the Viaduct. Had dinner in the hotel which was very nice. Good secure parking.
Cons: More power points in room would be handy. Lots of earwig bugs but guess this is down to the time of the year

Cons: Parking was difficult until directed by hotel reception
5,3 Okay
Pros: The hotel was ideal for our stop over on route to France - Millau is a good place to stop and the hotel was very central and close to resturantsBasic but good value for money
6,0 Good
Pros: This hotel was only used as a a one-night stopover whilst en route from Calais to Spain by car. Consequently do not have much experience on which to make a report except to say that the hotel fared well as a moderately priced place to stay overnight, -- cleanliness of room and linen, towels and bathroom was of a high standard, the beds were comfortable and the room in which we we were situated, athough facing a side street was quiet at night. Did not have any meals at the hotel so can't comment on the catering. Decor of room and hotel was somewhat austere and a little 'tired' but nothing to compain about at the room rate quoted.Room facilities could be improved by provision of a kettle and tea/coffee making equipment

7,9 Good
Pros: Cosy little family hotel in the heart of Millau with very nice staff.
Cons: The location is very central, but window facing towards the big roundabout with a huge fountain, makes a lot of noise beginning at 6 am.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location very central and ideal for viiting restaurants or businesses in the town. The breakfast is a standard bread and a hot drink so is to typical French. There is a lift to the hotel so no problems with access.
Cons: everything was good but it is a an overnight convienient hotel rather than a destination hotel so basic but effiecient.
7,5 Good
Pros: Excellent room. Looking out on the fountain having a coffee was great.
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Accommodating staff. Friendly and helpful. Explained everything very well. Made our short stay as convenient as possible and understood that we were out all night for the music festival.
Cons: Parking was tough. They could've served a little more with the breakfast. There was a smoker in the ground floor that was smoking up the whole hall.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, great location, friendly staff. Very helpful when trying to grasp the French language.
Cons: Bit noisy during the day as some building work was going on.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Very good location
Cons: Whole property was tired particularly the bedroom. Free car parking in nearby municipal car park but we left in a Sunday to find car park locked in as closed on sundays and we hadn’t been told by reception how to get car out!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location absolutely central to Millau. Staff really kindly and helpful. Very neat and tidy although admittedly a little old-fashioned... but so are we!
Cons: Rien!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location in the centre of Millau. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Nice bedspread. Fab view from the bedroom window
Cons: I wouldn't want to stay for more than a couple of nights as I would want a little more in the way of facilities but it was great for what we wanted
